Been rumoured on twitter today that interviews will be taking place today and tomorrow for the new manager position after seeking approval from clubs yesterday. Here is SkyBet's current favourites:

Harry Kewell - 4/7

Steve Chettle - 5/2

Gary Bowyer - 6/1

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - 10/1

Michael Flynn - 12/1

Worst appointment for me would be JFH but the best would be Bowyer in my opinion. Kewell has won nothing and is currently at a mid table team no more no less. Hope Chettle can have the chance to string a few wins together to lift spirits as an interim manager.

Harry Kewell - 4/7 - no, no, no, nooooooooooo.

Steve Chettle - 5/2 - seriously? notts can do much better.

Gary Bowyer - 6/1 - not convinced by him at all.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - 10/1 - not a person notts should give daylight too.

Michael Flynn - 12/1 - who? oh dear..

I am swaying more to Gary Bowyer but I am not convinced he would be that much better with this squad myself.

Kewell. Not my choice, but he'll get it.

For me out of the ones mentioned

1. Bowyer
2. Flynn
3. Anyone else
4. Kewell
5. No manager at all
6. Chettle and JFH

Why appoint Kewel for Christ’s sake. We are supposed to have our sights set on Championship football !!

I would be more than happy with this, IF it's true.

The issue is I don't see why Wimbledon would want to allow him to leave, not even if we was able to reach an agreement.

Alan Hardy should appoint himself and have done with it, I'm not interested in the ongoing stuff about the next manager.

None of them have my interest.

I understand how you feel @CliftonMagpie.When Rowett jumped ship for Stoke some of the replacement candidates names gave me nightmares. The selection process seemed to go on forever with  names being added or  discarded on a daily basis.Thankfully Mel Morris(our chairman) seems to have hit the jackpot with Frank Lampard. He's ticking all the right boxes so far.I hope Hardy and Notts fans get someone who gives them optimism and hope for the future in a way   Frank has at Derby.

@super_ram I understand what you mean, however derby are always battling up there where as we have gone from relegation threatened to promotion hopefuls under Nolan can another rookie manager pull it off?

Yes @Bainbridge NCFC my lot have been up there almost every season since Nigel Clough was sacked but non of the various managers have completed the job.So near yet so far and so often . Many times in the last few seasons though,I've felt a bit guilty coming on this site with my side riding high(Till January usually) while Notts have endured one crisis after another.I don't know if FL will succeed and if he does how long he will remain but I'm very happy with Derby at the moment.A few weeks ago everything looked rosy for Notts too and I do feel for Notts fans the way things have turned out. What I was trying to say was that I hope whoever inherits KN's team, whether rookie ,experienced or whatever ,gives you Notts fans similar hope and enthusiasm as FL at Derby(and also completes a job)
