This time last year

Featured Replies

Last year was one of the times in the recent years that we got that many points so quickly, normally we are mid table at most. It was good to not be fighting to get out of religation last year.

This pre season was a complete disaster. I know some say it has no relevance to Rest of theΒ season but if that is the case why do coaches put so much emphasis on what kind of pre season a player has had!Β

No one would have predicted the poor form of the defence after being so solid last year but that now seems to have been addressed well by Harry.

I truly believe that we will be climbing the table very soon now but I fear that we have left it too late to mount a serious promotion challenge,Β unless we are very lucky and the top clubs have some serious problems further into the season.

fingers crosses we will be having something to smile about very soon.

I warned about the big friendlies, I feel they greatly impacted the team and people say 'they're just a friendly' but I think it shown the depth of the squad that is lacking. If the squad was experienced with each other and more 'ready' I think they would have been alright but the early signs wasn't good. Nothing was picked out either, I asked @Fan of Big ToneΒ at the Derby friendly if we could have Adam Collin back.

It's not the recruitment as such, it's the loss of Mike Edwards and other major factors.

Perhaps a small part is the lack of signing a backup/experienced keeper and strengthening the defence but the rest of the squad looks good. Kristian Dennis should come good if we give him time. He needs to impress to get into the team.

its depressing to see, we have the same squad but lack experience. theres more quality but the team work is not the same.

its weird how you can go from being a good team to being one of the worst, i hope kewell continues to turn things around. we need to have a few seasons where we are on the up.

The same fight we had last season is missing this time round, the squad can work hard but I think some of the players have not worked as a team.AtΒ  least not as much as they should have done.

Same old Notts County.

The worst thing about it is the fact we had 25 points this time last season, more than enough to put the club top this time round. Also, the amount of goals conceded is only 1 off the amount of points from the last campaign this time round.

That alone is scary enough.

I thought Notts would be up there again this season but nobody has worked hard enough to be there, it's awful how this season has gone so far.

Disappointing to say the least, this seasons been terrible.

I just want to see Notts reach the 50 point mark now and that would be a positive thing.

I did say in July that the balance of Nolan's team was not right.

Look just stop and think who was in the team last year, Shola Ameobi 6 foot 3, Ryan Yates 6 foot 3, both those player plus Jon Stead 6 foot 3 would go and help in the back 4 at corners and set pieces.

Then what does Nolan do in the summer let Michael O'Connor 6 foot, Rob Milsom and Liam Noble go, then replace them with 1 midget Vaughan, for the life of me what was KN thinking, it just makes me mad.

But thank god we look like we are coming out of it at last, and have you noticed the upturn since Mr Vaughan as not played?
