It seems Alan Hardy has been showing a new consortium around, this time a Danish one associated with the company Football Radar.

I know, I know, you're all tired of this... but surely it's a promising sign that other groups are interested, we have names and they appear to be real. And anyone is better than the property developers.

It reads like school yard gossip, no evidence and the story is patchy. Where are the questions? Ask the company for a statement. Chase and develop the story.

Does this mean negotiations with SA consortium have hit a snag? Why would Alan show a new consortium round if a deal was close, it doesn't make much sense to me.

And a new consortium! Say there were genuine, that means an even longer delay and I think they'd do well to purchase the club before the next HMRC date. We're already weeks behind all our rivals, we've got no training ground and all of Ardley's targets could well be at other clubs by the time we are in a position to sign them.

I genuinely thought about a month ago when AH said 7-10 days it would all be done and we could move on and plan for the season. And now this news, it feels we're no closer, 70-100 days would've been more accurate.

I agree with @upthepies  dig around ask questions like a journalist should do , do some background checks , it’s a nothing story as it stands .

Hope the MP has some answers maybe in a few days to the questions the post said she was going to ask after the meeting she held with supporters groups .

The club is a shambles at the moment, and the way Hardy is treating the fans is absolutely regrettable and unacceptable, total contempt for the fan base not so long back he bragged he had engaged with and built up , any good work on that front that may have been done is probably now ruined by this saga .

We need clarity , real honesty , and FACTS    May group binned  ?                                      Are the SA still involved in negotiations?

There needs to be some sort of progress. It seems Notts is harder to sell than an abandoned house.

Think Alan is panicking yet again and is unwilling to invest anymore money into the club which is neglectful. How long until the FA or whoever starts to punish these owners who ruin clubs with heavy fines? Start a fund, use it to bail teams out when things get desperate.

Punish those with the power, not the fans.

Weren't there Danish potential owners when the Trews were trying to sell the club? Seemed 'interested' back then but nothing firm, which is why they ended up selling to Hardy in the first place.

The Danish consortium under the Trews was reported as being filthy rich, but it turned out that not the whole group had enough money. It was reported that the main business had a good cash flow, not the actual people. I have no idea if these are the same people.

Why would the Post make it up? The story contains two actual names, one of the men appears to be active on social media. It would have been very easy for him to deny everything if it weren't true.

@menzinho the South African consortium has hit an unknown snag and the other options are jokers and crooks. So it'd have been irresponsible of him NOT to give them a hearing at least.

Have they confirmed its true? Some business minded people don't feel the need to dismiss every rumour linked to them.

I hope it is real but it doesn't sound good for the previous offer submitted by the South African group.

Nothing to be excited about until they put an offer in and news filters out that its been accepted.

because that is exactly what happens where there are those no news days, people are speculating and the nep does come out with a lot of stupid stuff to fill in the gaps. look at the story about lifeline for example.

It's unlike the Post to release non stories as they're such a honest media outlet.

I would hope that there is some genuine interest out there and that the sale can progress, perhaps the South Africans no longer have faith in Alan Hardy and don't know who else could run the club?

Whoever it is, they need to process the sale quicker.

Now, now young grasshopper @super_pie you should care. We need a proper owner, one with a plan and not someone who will divide the fans. The club needs proper backers, it’s very important otherwise we’ll never progress.
