Do you feel that Football Radar have made any benefits for Notts since the new owners came in? Is it the future of football?

Tracking players, using stats and information to unearth future stars? Can it replace the way coaches see young players with potential?

You can't judge a player based on stats alone, but I do think it helps when signing players within a budget.

I think it will be useful to find players who work hard, but its nowhere good enough to rate a players potential but at the same time, a player considered to be good could be much better if the weaknesses or certain parts of their game are improved.

It's the future for sure, but it won't replace traditional means completely.

i think it will help more with players who have played professional games and are around 18-24, in terms of them having more time to learn but you do need good coaches to add further improvements.

It should be used with other methods, its the future but I hope Notts starts putting the same amount of effort into coaching. The club needs to have its own youngsters like Sam Osborune which stats won't unearth.

Some more experienced players have been found so it has helped.

Producing and selling talent would be one of the best signs of true progress. It would be nice to see Notts in the Championship one day, I’m just enjoying this ride.

It won't replace tradition means but it should cut out wasting time of players that might not be worth scouting. Notts has to build this department up, getting recommendations and the right infrastructure would make a deadly combination.

They may also know where is best to send players they want to sell to as much as where to find good players and their potential.

Just a thought, with all of the technical statistics available... is it feasible that signing Joe McDonnell from Wimbledon made the best use of Football Radar's input? #JustAskingForAFriend

It's likely more to Neal Ardley wanting someone who is happy to push to play, yet willing to accept that they might find themselves on the bench. Football Radar might have given the club some stats, but lets face Ardley should know him well enough.

Stats is just half of it, the bigger picture is the players attitude.

He could play well with one club and be a completely different player elsewhere, I agree stats are useful but you have to look at the full picture when accessing a player.

Football Radar has the potential of flipping the club in the right direction and could have played a big role in this seasons recruitment. I would like to see the stats compiled for the youth players, so that the coaches can get the best out of them.

If you combine the gut feelings of Ardley/Cox (plus any scouting network we may or may not have) and then back them up by stats and analysis, this can only be a good thing. To have more than one perspective is definitely an advantage that other teams may not possess.

Signings such as the young lad Roberts do make you feel that there is more consideration when we sign players.
