how to handle the players contracts?

if the playoffs are played and games are pushed back, how do you feel the contracts that are up should be handled?

i cant see it happening, i think they will promote the top two teams myself.

i just have this feeling that notts will miss out, but if contracts do need extending, i would like to see the agreements added a cushion period of how long the players would be required for. ideally, notts should get those they want snapped up for longer without hassle just to be safer than sorry.

If the contracts need extending, then this should be extended by default with existing deals being honoured. I imagine the players will be getting paid regardless of what happens, so it seems fair to expect them to continue when needed.

At this stage, we don't know what's happening and I suspect the FA/Leagues to be wanting to avoid this drama. Which could be the reason why they announced no promotions or relegations below North/South leagues.

Whatever happens it needs to be sensible and players, agents and clubs need to work together.

I think it should be between the players and the clubs, the FA needs to remove the agents from the talks simply because they have invested interest in getting money out of theseΒ situations.

Agents aren't in favour of the club, but getting the best resources and wages they can.

I think they won't need extensions, I think the National League will make whatever they do up as a spare thought and just promote Barrow.

With the FA/EFL humming about what they want to do, it leaves clubs with the difficult job of what to do with this. I can't see the leagues asking players to extend their stay to finish off the season, that would make me think that the season won't be finished either.

I don't see it being an issue either, Jim O'Brien trained whilst out of contract and re-signed once Notts could sign players. I am certain others would do the same.
