Italy just spanked Switzerland 3-0. They look very good indeed. Rock solid at the back. Quick and accurate in attack. They are a joy to watch.

True ,but how poor were the Swiss.I think Italy could have stepped up another gear if Switzerland had seriously threatened them.Very enjoyable game though.

I think Italy make teams look bad. They press you so high up the pitch and then pour forward. It's very difficult to play against. You have to play over them and then they just pick it off. They are going to be very difficult to beat.

Some good games even though some of the sides aren't up to the standard of others, I think this tournament has been one of the best in recent years,

He created 5 chances, but that's working as a team. There were spells where he just wasted by being greedy, I don't actually have anything against him - just think he's overrated and slightly arrogant.

You missed out that he's obviously a crap penalty taker as well!

Denmark and Belgium is an absolute cracker. Danes took the lead. 2 bits of sheer class by Kevin De Bruyne has Belgium 2-1 ahead. He played a sublime ball to Thorgen Hazard for the first and buried a 20 yarder for the 2nd. Denmark deserve a draw. They keep on coming.

Enjoyed the Denmark Vs Belgium game.

Such a difference after half time from Belgium. Denmark deserved something from the game imo though. Played themselves into the ground. Really good effort.

And my lost post from a few nights ago has reappeared!

France. They have so much more in the tank and out played Germany by a long way, in what was a poor match. Had two disallowed and they looked to play ‘within themselves’ for most of it. Once they get fired up, others will struggle to stop them imo.
France to win. You heard it here first from the Fox! 🦊

I'm Irish so I'll be supporting my Scottish brethren tonight. Nothing against England but the Scots are our Celtic brothers. We are from the same tribe. It's in our DNA. I can't see anything but an English win but maybe just maybe....

Have to agree with the others that have mentioned it but I'm really enjoying the tournament so far. I haven't seen all the games but the ones I have, they've all been pretty good.

Really looking forward to England Scotland tonight, I was pleasantly surprised at how well we played against Croatia - we really didn't let them do much. I thought Scotland were a tad unlucky with their result against the Czechs but I think that just comes down to their lack of quality... Their No.9 Dykes plays for QPR and scored 12 goals for them. Compare that to England, we've got arguably one of the best centre forward's in the world.

Quietly confident England will win, but Scotland will be doing all they can to make a game of it.

Scotland more than holding their own. They are actually causing England a lot of problems. England are putting more pressure on in the last 10 minutes. Andy Robertson has been brilliant. James just cleared the ball off the line. Scotland can nick this. Grealish is on now. McGregor started so 2 Notts old boys on the pitch!

Great result for Scotland. England were poor. Ran out of ideas. On what I've seen so far, France and Italy are streets ahead of England.

I’ll be the first one to say it. That was like watching Notts under Ardley. Lack lustre, leggy and no penetration at all. Other teams in this competition will hammer England if they continue down that road.

On the other hand, Scotland took their role well and excelled. Not only the underdog stuff, but played better imo. Look more up for it, but also managed the game better, sharper passes etc…

I thought it was very poor. No tempo, no urgency, never managed to get behind them apart from a short spell at the start of the second half, following which we quickly settled back into the old pattern. Just like watching Notts at times this season.

Scotland were more motivated, disciplined, pressed more effectively and looked likelier to score. Celebrating a 0-0 is a bit tinpot though. If I were them I'd see it as a missed opportunity to beat a side who were way off the boil. As it is, England are in a very good position to progress while Scotland are still goalless and need to beat Croatia.

I did enjoy seeing both McGregor and Grealish on the pitch again though.

Exactly my thoughts. Even Southgate's interview after the game was Ardley-esque.

Wales lose 1-0 to Italy but that's good enough for 2nd place. That is a fantastic achievement for a team many thought would finish last in the group. Italy made 8 changes but they were excellent again. Wales were down to 10 men for 35 minutes but kept it to 1-0.

Wales have done fantastic as a team, they should be delighted to progress from their group.

They have a good chance in the last 16. They will face Russia, Finland or Denmark.

You'd have to fancy their chances of progressing further, isn't Denmark out though?

They can still finish 2nd. It's a long shot but possible.

They might go home without a single point, seems more likely to happen. I didn't realise they was still in with a skin chance.

Belgium need to step up the pace of their game and stop trying to walk the ball into the Finland net.

Denmark 4-1 up against Russia. They are in 2nd place now. Finland are 1 down to Belgium. If they equalise, they go through in 2nd.

At this stage, my money is on Italy or Germany to win the tournament.

England 1-0 up against the Czech Republic. Comfortable but not convincing. Scotland 1-2 Croatia. Modric just scored a brilliant goal. Scots need to win or they are out.

England really do need to up the tempo for the rest of the tournament, so pedestrian for too much of the game.
