Here we go again folks, a very important game which in my opinion we should be making sure we secure our place in to the 2nd round. It would be nice to get that home game against Yeovil!

Accrington's form at home seems to be questionable and no doubt we seem to be better on the road right now.

However having them lineup against us here at Meadow Lane, I am expecting them to be no push overs. I do feel we can secure victory, which I have a feeling will end 2-0. Yet it won't be an easy 2-0, it will be a solid performance where our lads do us proud. I think Noble and Thompson will get us the goals.

It's the first round replay, let us know your thoughts. Discuss folks!

Ooo.. What predictions will you go for?

I would love to see Tommy Johnson play at meadow lane again what a player he would be to the current team.Β

I'm a huge fan of Shane Meadows and the This Is England series in particular. TIE90 is being filmed at the moment and will hot our screens in 2015. It will be the last installment of the series. I can't wait to be honest.Β

Anyone else a fan of this?Β

Looks like a few smiling faces this week then. A new card added to the bumper numbers will keep the feel good factor going!

Warning this might get you a bit hot under the collar when you read it.

Some great comments in reply to this ridiculous article.

I've come here hoping for an upset!!

Sorry I haven't had a chance to post more. Busy day out Saturday with the kids then went to see the Erasure concert on Saturday night (which was superb btw) and spent the day today building Ikea furniture as we've changed my daughter's room around. 4 cabinets and chest of draws later and my back is telling me to stop!

Hello,

My names Lee, huge fan of Notts and marvel comics hence my nickname. I'm 14 years old, I have followed Notts since 2008.

I've only attended a handful of games but I always look for updates or news.

I thought we had a new member when I saw @liampie's latest incarnation as Alan Smith.

Β

I always think of members looking like their avatars, now I will have to re-imagine you Liam.

Β

What happened to Richard Liburd Liam? You've had more faces than Doctor Who. :rollonfloorlaughing:

Hello @Dibblerpie, welcome to Pride of Nottingham. Please to see you have joined us, care to tell us a little about yourself? I hope you enjoy the site. When you get chance take a look at our 'View New Content' feature.

Hope you like what you see. You Pies!

Hello everybody, most of you probably know me from NCM. Looking forward to some intelligent banter on here.

So, the record is gone and a possible monkey is off of the back. Β Defeat at home to Walsall could, should, and hopefully will be followed up with a win over the milk advert lot synonymous with "Eeeeen Ruschhhhh".

Β

Connections? Β Well, they were the only team to win at fortress meadow lane during the munto season, a game which cost Hans Backe his job but led to David Kevan which in turn led to Steve Cotterill, so not all bad that year.

Β

Players - could be a tricky one this, but i will start with Leam Richardson, a fullback we signed on loan around the Dearden / Scott years, and who popped up at the Crown Ground later in his career.

Over to you...

Well now, Ryan Babel has released a fashion range of clothing and accessories, which carry the initials of the Liverpool Anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone".

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2836649/Former-Liverpool-misfit-Ryan-Babel-releases-street-fashion-range-branded-YNWA.html#comments

Β

Among footballs elite, surely this could be a good seller, and then of course you will get a fair few who will buy it just to fit in without actually knowing what it means.

Β

#COYPΒ  as a clothing range? Who knows, at some point in the future...

Β

This to me is a good idea for him, not only amongst the Liverpool supporting fraternity but for the Slogan itself... Just as an example, it is something perhaps that I would wear, the thought being that, #YNWA could signify never being alone, and help with depression/anxiety.

We took our grandchildren to this on Saturday and it was a great day out. Only £1 entry for waged people and there were lots of people in medieval costumes with interesting stalls. Sword fighting etc., Robin Hood was present along with the Sheriff of Nottingham who had him arrested and put in the stocks but thankfully he was pardoned and set free. Great fun.

Care to tell us a little about yourself? You Pies!

So, with last season's home win against Coventry being one of the high points of 13/14 (which was also the first Meet the Fans video). Will this game be one in which Coventry get their own back?

Β

Will they be trying to prove something after their premature exit from the FA Cup?

Β

Will we miss the 3 players who are away on international duty?

Β

Fingers crossed we keep up our unbeaten run (Which is currently on one game unbeaten!)

Β

Who is going to make the trip to the Ricoh Arena?

which league Β is the best in Europe ? I think the bundesliga

Enjoyed reading the interview and grateful for any insight into the club, but I got the feeling he was not in a good mood when answering them. Surely he could have bantered a little, especially with the added question from TH grandson. Maybe a response of 'come back when the next tooth falls out then we'll discuss a deal!'

Link to PoN's Q/A with Ray Trew.

Derry hails Carroll commitment

450098465_3042537.jpg?20140121133016Notts County boss Shaun Derry watched his side eke out a win at Coventry and then singled out goalkeeper Roy Carroll for praise.

The veteran County goalkeeper, like his opposite number in the Coventry goal, had little to do throughout the 90 minutes, but Derry said the fact it was his second game in less than 24 hours underlined the team spirit at the club.

Carroll had turned out for Northern Ireland in a 2-0 defeat in Romania the night before, but caught the first flight home and then drove to Coventry to play in the match that was settled by Garry Thompson's 72nd-minute winner.

"It was a case of planes, trains and automobiles for Roy getting to the ground, but I just think that typifies us as a football club," said Derry.

"We are very selfless people and Roy wanted to play and do a job for us."

City had just been getting on top when the visitors scored and should also have had the chance to draw level in the 87th minute when Notts defender Hayden Hollis bundled Gary Madine over in the box.

But Derry felt his side had earned that chunk of luck. He said: "I'm delighted with that - we changed our system after I saw Coventry play on Wednesday night and I thought we did well.

"It was a really tight game. I said to the boys at half-time that this was going to be a one-goal game and we managed to get that with a fantastic finish.

"We've had those decisions given against us at times this season, but they do even themselves out.

"I am happy that it wasn't given this time and I am sure Steven will tell you a different story. I can understand that.

"Over the course of the 90 minutes, I felt the best team won."

Coventry manager Steven Pressley said one defensive lapse and one poor decision cost his team at least a share of the spoils.

He said: "I was disappointed because these are games that we have to win. There is no doubt about that.

"It was fiercely-contested. Our attitude was terrific and our work ethic was terrific.

"There was a real will to win but one mistake cost us the game, especially when we were the dominant team in the second half.

"These are games we can't afford to lose, there is no doubt about it.

"It's a lesson to us as one bit of naive defending cost us and, also, a moment where the referee refuses to give the penalty.

"I've seen it again and I'm not here to make excuses but it's an absolute stonewall penalty.

"I think it was a big call and he failed to make it. I spoke to him afterwards and told him I was disappointed because it was undoubtedly a penalty kick."
