  1. Looks a very good well laid out site, seems very user friendly and easy on the eye.

I do hope that this forum is moderated well and it is not allowed to descend into anarchy with personal insults when people have differing opinions to the main stream of views.

Long may it reign on that basis.

  2. Is he injured?

I don't see him play for a while. Where he is?

How long is his contract at Meadow Lane?

  3. Even though it was updated awhile back now... what do you think of the layout compared to the previous one(if you remember it)

The newer one has food served with slightly more choice in drinks, upto date seats and no wobbly tables lol

The food needs to be cheaper to attract fans in my opinion, but the drinks aren't a bad price.

I prefer the seating areas but there still needs to be more access for wheelchair and pushchair users.

Card payments would be useful as the nearest cash machine charges for use so getting caught with no cash wouldn't be good.

I think it would be good to be open the odd other non match day, because you would get some fans in for a chat with other fans.

  4. Stevenage vs Notts County

    _58194818_football-464x261.jpgNpower League One

    Venue: Lamex Stadium
    Date: Saturday, 29 December
    Kick-off: 15:00

Coverage: BBC Sport website, BBC Radio 5 live, BBC local radio, Final Score & highlights on The Football League Show

Stevenage boss Gary Smith is likely to make changes as he searches for only a second victory in seven games.

Midfielder Filipe Morais returned from an ankle injury in the Boxing Day defeat by Coventry and is expected to keep his starting place.

Dean Leacock (hamstring) and Alan Sheehan (calf) are unlikely to be fit for Notts County.

Jordan Stewart (hamstring) and Tom Williams (thigh) are ruled out, as is the suspended Damion Stewart.

Quite a few comments concerning the game being called off, I hope this doesn't stop our fans from going. I don't see it playing a great effect on the attendance but might not be a normal one with things considering. It's becoming even more important to get 3 points, although I will say a draw is hardly a bad thing in my opinion. We need to get back the ground if we aim to get inside the playoffs, which I think (no disrespect to Stevenage) is exactly the type of team we shouldn't struggle to play against a great deal. No guesses of the score, I don't want to jinx anything.

    Your thoughts?
  5. New member here, I was bored as Notts aren't playing today so just having a look round and found this new site, looks good and I'm looking forward to joining in.

I have been a Notts fan for around 50 years, I now reside in the Pavis stand, I used to sit in the Kop but prefer a side on view of the game so managed to get a season ticket seat near the players tunnel which was perfect.

My username is that of my favourite player, you youngsters won't remember Big Tone. Other favourites include the King Don Masson, flying winger Charlie Crickmore and of course more recently Lee Hughes.

  6. TEAM NEWS

Shrewsbury winger Jon Taylor is set to miss out after being forced off with a hamstring injury against Bury.

Luke Rodgers has been struggling with illness but should be fine to face his former club, while Luke Summerfield (hernia) is definitely out.

Damion Stewart is unavailable for Notts County as he is suspended.

Fellow centre-back Dean Leacock is closing in on a return from a hamstring injury but has been struggling with illness, along with Lee Hughes.

Dean Leacock will be a miss for us, which I notice BBC mention Bart isn't unable to start. If he's included I see no missing links, although it should be an easier game for Mitchell if he is selected to play. I hear we're taking a pretty reasonable following considering it's a Wednesday and of course boxing day but I've missed football especially since the last game was called off. I hope we can take make the most of the chances we get + see a much better performance, I don't see any reason why we can play our game.

    No score prediction from me.

  9. Team News

Notts County: Dean Leacock and Bartosz Bialkowski are again doubts, after missing the midweek encounter with Rotherham United.

Lee Hughes (illness), Tom Williams (calf) and Jordan Stewart (hamstring) are expected to miss out.

Damion Stewart is banned for three games, following his Tuesday night red card.

Leyton Orient: Striker Michael Symes (hamstring) and defender Nathan Clarke (foot) are expected to be sidelined for the match.

Keith Curles looking for a Gunners reaction, I'm hoping this is the time we bounce back. I hope Mitchell doesn't take the negativity on board, especially how he appears to of received since our fa cup exit. (one reason why I'd of chosen Pilks) but I hope he does tomorrow. If we play like we did in the second half he'll have a much easier game.

No guesses of the score from me.

  10. I loosely watched, I listened to our game. (though being honest I wished I switched off the magpie player) The game seem pretty good and our Italian brothers played very well. Direct attacking football, which had sparks of brilliance, it really was a shame I was preoccupied talking to myself on tweeter.

None the less, it seems that the result could resort in yet another Chelsea sacking.

I personally don't think this would be a good move, as Di Matteo is still learning and in my opinion he's turned somethings around during is short time in charge.

Chelsea were left on the brink of an ignominious exit from this season's Champions League after a comprehensive defeat at the Stadio Juventus in Turin.

Juventus deserved their victory. Fabio Quagliarella deflected Andrea Pirlo's shot beyond Petr Cech before half-time before Arturo Vidal struck on the hour.

With time running out, Sebastian Giovinco beat the Chelsea goalkeeper to the ball to prod in from 30 yards.

Chelsea could now become the first holders to go out in the group stage.

If Roberto Di Matteo arrived in Turin facing speculation over his own future after four Premier League games without a win, this defeat threw up far more questions than it did answers.

  12. Barcelona tie down star trio as Lionel Messi commits until 2018

Lionel-Messi-Barcelona-vs-Real-Betis_287Lionel Messi has agreed a new contract which will keep him at Barcelona until the summer of 2018.

The three-time World Player of the Year was previously signed up until 2016 and will be 31 by the time his latest deal expires.

And Barca have also tied down one-club stalwarts Xavi and Carles Puyol until the summer of 2016 - effectively for the rest of their careers.

Messi is in the running for a fourth successive FIFA Ballon d'Or, due to be awarded on 7 January, and recently set a new mark for goals scored in a calendar year.

Gerd Muller's record of 85 goals stood for 40 years before the Argentine's double against Real Betis on 9 December took him to 86, and two more followed in each of the games against Cordoba and Atletico Madrid.

Messi will have played 14 seasons at Camp Nou by the summer of 2018, and he already has five Primera Liga winners' medals and three from the Champions League.

Xavi's new deal, meanwhile, is due to expire almost 18 years after his Barca debut as an 18-year-old in 1998 - little more than 12 months before Puyol made his first senior appearance.
  13. Notts County vs Rotherham United

Notts County have midfielder Alan Judge available following suspension but defender Dean Leacock is a doubt after being hurt in the loss to Brentford.

Yohann Arquin is expected to return from injury, but it is unclear whether fellow striker Lee Hughes will be fit.

Rotherham boss Steve Evans is set to make a number of changes from the side that beat AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Skipper Ian Sharps is suspended after he picked up his fifth booking of the season in that game.
    VIEW FROM THE TRAINING GROUND

Rotherham boss Steve Evans told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I think we'll go there and give it a go but you have to be careful because it's a one off now.

"They've got quality all over and they're very good defensively so it'll be a very difficult game for us.

"I've got to the fifth round in the last two years and success in this competition is like a drug."

I'm very excited about this, I know I said this last time but I really do love FA Cup games. I'm very lucky that I have been able to attend so many games recently, which my two oldest are also excited about. I think we'll take the game, I really hope that the lads can come out and play some very positive football. We all know that the players are capable, so I'll be singing with my little pies to encourage them. It's going to interesting though, fingers crossed for the right reasons.

  14. Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has apologised for headbutting Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross.

The pair clashed in the second half of the sides' 1-1 draw but referee Mark Halsey missed the incident.

"I apologise completely to Ryan Shawcross, my team-mates and to our fans at the game. I lost my temper and it was unprofessional," said Fellaini.

Crazy, I heard about this but it wasn't until my dad asked me earlier if I had seen it that I knew exactly what happened. How can a player who's professional carry out this type of behaviour throughout a game? I can't find any videos that show him doing it repeatedly, although I have heard from a few people that it was mutiple times.

  19. Pearce Returns To County!

Defender Krystian Pearce has returned to Notts County at the end of his three-month loan spell at Barnet.

The centre-half, 22, made 17 appearances for the Bees after moving to Underhill in September, and formed an impressive partnership alongside David Stephens.

Stevenage loanee Andy Iro, who has been an unused substitute for the last two matches, could make his debut when Barnet head to Dagenham on Saturday.

But head coach Edgar Davids admits whoever comes into the side will have some big boots to fill following Pearce's departure.

He said: "He'll be a massive loss. He was one of the pillars of the team.

"It's too bad for us, but I hope he will get an opportunity at his club."

  20. The winners will be rewarded with an incredible trip to... Aldershot Town.

Not a great draw but a wonderful chance to progress to round 4 and bring in some welcome prize money.

Jamal Campbell Ryce and lee Hughes will be available again after surving their suspensions while alan Judge will be unavailable though suspension for accumilating 5 bookings.

  22. TEAM NEWS

Yeovil welcome back on-loan striker Paddy Madden after a two-match absence.

However, winger Keanu Marsh-Brown is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season for a dive in the victory over Wycombe on Tuesday.

Notts County will again be without Andre Boucaud, but the midfielder is back at Meadow Lane for treatment on his knee injury.

Defender Dean Leacock returns after suspension but Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Lee Hughes are still banned.

Having spent time on a Yeovil Town Fan Site and speaking to various fans on other online communities, I feel that this is a game that they would be happy to draw with. Some, believe that they can stop our away form record and seem to have a desire to see their team achieve that. I feel it will be an hard game for us both but one that we should be able to overcome any difficulties. Some fans voiced concerns about not being able to score, so if we attack and get ourselves infront with a nice margin hopefully that would stop them from playing.

I am also interested to see what James makes of the game, as I know he intended to go.

    COYP!!
