Is this anything Forest fan's should be worried about? We all know Billy doesn't like the media, so why is he now using them to plea to the owners?

FIFA secretary generalΒ Jerome ValckeΒ has confirmed that the 2022Β World CupΒ in Qatar will not be held in June or July.

Β

He suggested it may be held "between November 15 and January 15 at the latest" according to Sky Sports News.

Β

What do you guys make of this development?

Personally I believe FIFA well and truly shot themselves in the foot. The World Cup has ALWAYS been held in the summer. They blindly went for the Gulf state several years ago without even considering the basic consequences of having a tournament in a country which reaches 50C in June (why did they even need to confirm the venue for 2022 at the same time as the 2018 one?), and now they're paying the price. What an absolute farce.

After Brandy's today. Who was last player on a opposing team to score a hat-trick against us. I can remember Parkin for Macclesfield doing it.

am i the only one that thinks chelsea are mad for selling him specially to some as crap as united he could do alot better.

Goole FC have told player Karl Colley he will never play for them again after he assaulted a supporter during today's game, exacly 19 years after Eric Cantona's famous kung-fu kick at Selhurst Park.

You do wonder what was said to provoke such a reaction, but you can't do that and he should know a lot better.

Both teams to score with Notts as eventual winners 11/2.

Here is my £4.00, thank you very much.

Just got back from a couple of days in York, it was a treat from our son he paid for the hotel.

York is a great place for us wrinklies, the Castle museum is full of things I remember from my childhood and the National Railway Museum is full of nostalgia with steam trains and the like.

Lots of lovely old pubs selling real ale too @super_ram

This cannot be our Mark Fotheringham, surely! I swear some clever person's morphed his face into the video! haha. Seriously, I think he's improved a bit recently and would rather see him in the side, playing a more offensive role (either that or give Boucaud a rest)

Do any one you have penpals? I have had them on and off since I was at school. I'm now trying to find new ones as a few of my older ones haven't written in a while and I need something fresh.

I love snail mail and would never send emails etc as it looses some of its charm I feel. I do have my penpals on facebook, where we do chat and keep up with each other. But we always send each other letters.

I was wondering if anyone else has any or had penpals when they were younger?

This Saturday's Fixtures:

Rotherham United v Crawley Town
Tranmere Rovers v Crewe Alexandra

Work could soon begin on a £5m eco-house in Wollaton for two lottery winners.

The house, to be built at Adams Hill, in Derby Road, is the dream home of £45m lottery winners Matt and Cassey Topham.

Planning permission was given in July for the development but was subject to a report about badgers on the site. That report has now been completed.

The building, which has been likened to the Teletubbies house, would be partly powered by solar panels.

Nice idea but I can't help but feel it's sort of 'showing off' and I can remember watching them on eastmidland's news saying things like they won't let the money change them and nothing will come between them as a couple. So much for the modest house they purchased not long after, I wish them the best but this is going to end with them being unhappy and broke.

I woke up one morning, round about the beginning of the year, with an irritation in my right eye.It felt to me like there was some grit there but no-one could see anything. The funny thing was that the irritation kept disappearing only to return.I had a routine eye test due at my optician and told him about it when I went there a few days later. After close scrutiny of my eyes he told me I had Trichiasis-a posh name for ingrowing eyelashes. He went on to say that he would inform my GP who would refer me to hospital. So on Monday, this week, with Will for support,I reported to the Q.M,C.Eye Outpatient department.

We arrived early and because of this I was expecting a long wait, although it wasn't really busy. After about about 10 minutes or so my name was called out. Will came with me as we followed a nurse,me thinking-'great ,it'll soon be all over.'I was ushered to a seat ,asked a few health questions and then given an eye test.I thought this a bit unnecessary as I'd had this done when I visited the optician a few weeks earlier and anyway it's not my eyes that are the real problem. After this I was shown to another waiting area.Again, after a short wait, I was called in to see the Doctor. He was pleasant enough but very quiet and being Asian,a little hard to understand. He asked me the same questions that I had already been asked, eventually asking me what my problem was. After close examination of both eyes involving a very bright light, he made a few notes then turned to me and told me I had ingrowing eyelashes.WOW WHAT A SURPRISE.He then made more notes before catching me by surprise and suddenly putting eyedrops in my eyes, making me jump and my eyes water. At this point I thought I was in for a long wait as you usually have to wait a while for the drops to take effect. No,straightaway he had a quick look again, then told me I needed surgery to correct the lineup of my eyelashes. He went on to add that he only dealt with back of the eye problems and I would have to see a front of the eye specialist adding further that I could use tape on my eye but failing to explain further. So with that it was bye bye ,we'll be in touch and I'm no nearer to a solution-A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME.

Welcome to Pride of Nottingham @magpie c, it's nice to have you here. Thanks for taking the time to join us! It might take a little time to get used to us but once you do, I think you will be well a way. :)

Please do consider telling us a little about yourself.

Former footballer Stan Collymore has accused Twitter of not doing enough to combat abusive messages after he was targeted by internet trolls.

The broadcaster has retweeted some of the offensive messages he has received since he suggested Liverpool striker Luis Suarez dived to earn a penalty in Saturday's match against Aston Villa.

Staffordshire Police confirmed it was investigating.

Twitter said it took action against targeted abuse that was reported to it.

'Thorough investigation'

Mr Collymore, a former Liverpool player who now works as a pundit for radio station TalkSport,

wrote to his 505,000 Twitter followers: "In the last 24 hours I've been threatened with murder several times, demeaned on my race, and many of these accounts are still active. Why?"

He later added: "I accuse Twitter directly of not doing enough to combat racist/homophobic/sexist hate messages, all of which are illegal in the UK."

In another tweet he wrote: "Several Police forces have been fantastic. Twitter haven't. Dismayed."

He's a troll himself, very annoying and to be honest with you - I think he does this to attract the limelight. He actually responds to them! why? Sarcastic responses will attract trolls. I can remember tweeting him myself, after he trolled someone.

Threats aren't acceptable but the guy needs to either come off Twitter or block them. If he's reported them (which I would be surprised if he did) Twitter would take action.

Personally I'm getting tired of him and his views.

Welcome @daz196969! I hope you like what you see here on Pride of Nottingham, it's good to see you drop by. Hopefully we will see you around our community :)

Thanks for joining us here on Pride of Nottingham @Cliftonpie - I hope you like the site and visit whenever possible, as you settle I am sure you fit right in and made to feel at home.

Welcome to the community :)

I have just found that Danny has been put up for transfer. I personally am gutted. He is a very talented striker and we need him badly. I can't understand why he is up.

A lot of fans on facebook are happy about this though. I can't understand why, as it will be history repeating itself, when he leaves for another club and starts scoring goals very match!

Put on the TV tonight to watch Gladbach vs. Bayern at Borussia-Park 7.30 KO our time. Gladbach 8 wins and 1 draw at home this season face the season-long unbeaten Bayern without Schweinsteiger and Martinez (and possibly Ribery).

Β

Keep an eye on Borussia's attacking quartet of Kruse, Hermann, Arango and Rafael, and in defensive midfield Granit Xhaka who had more touches of the ball than anyother player in the Bundesliga in the first half of the season.

Β

FCB's record in Moenchengladbach is not very good over the years, so here's hoping for another Borussia victory..

Β

All together now (to the tune of Yellow Submarine):

Β

Zieht den Bayern die Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen aus
Zieht den Bayern die Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen aus

Β

Why not share if you follow the magpies but aren't currently based in Nottinghamshire. Who knows, you could find someone just around the corner to go to away matches with. What do you do to scratch your Notts itch?

I'm currently in Brum, so still get to go to home matches. The only annoying thing for me is the lack if away travel options (other than journeying in my own)

Notts County's hopes of keeping Callum McGregor have received some encouragement from Celtic boss Neil Lennon.

Β

The Magpies retain a strong interest in the Hoops midfielder, whose loan deal expired last week.

McGregor was in the stands to watch the 2-1 home win against Sheffield United at the weekend and even trained with the rest of the squad ahead of that victory.

Β

The 20-year-old's performances for Notts have attracted the interest of other clubs but Lennon appears open to the idea of an extended stay with Shaun Derry's side.

Β

"We are quite happy with the situation there and the reports coming back are very positive" said Lennon.

The Magpies' League One rivals Wolves were on Monday linked with a £750,000 swoop for McGregor.

Β

Wanderers' interest in the Scotland Under-21 international was later backed up by the player's representative Kenny Moyes, although Moyes went on to say that 'no firm offer' had been made.

Β

However, Celtic are not looking to sell.

Β

When asked about the possibility of a permanent deal, Lennon said: "Not at the minute.

Β

"The reason we put him out on loan is to get him first-team experience. What he has done is set the bar for the rest of the young players who we want to maybe go out on loan.

Β

"As I said, the reports coming back are very positive.

Β

"He has been linked with Wolves - he has been linked with plenty of clubs. But he is our player and ideally we would like to bring him back in the summer and see how he has progressed."

Β

McGregor is the Magpies' leading scorer this season, netting 12 goals in 27 appearances since joining the club in August.

Β

Well, isn't that good news!? :D

Β

Obviously it's still at the speculative stage, but surely with the blessing of the manager, there is nothing to stop McGregor coming back until the end of the season?

I'm not sure about this, I think that I will end up scrapping this but it might just be me being fussy. What do you think?

I didn't get chance to watch it on Christmas day, I actually forgot. I can't even remember why I looked it up, however I noticed some clips on youtube and felt tempted to watch. I didn't, I searched for the full episode. Sadly BBC have taken it off the Iplayer, yet I have my ways of finding things.

As a kid I loved Open All Hours, especially because it starred Ronnie Barker and David Jason.

Did you watch it? If not, here's your chance. - Just click 'Watch as Free User', This is 100% safe I can assure you of this.
