This was always a big game, after today it's huge

All the pressure is on Wrexham now.

pressure is on both teams and with it being on tv, i would be lying if i was not nervous.

i hope the notts fans that manage to go, go in good spirit and enjoy the game. it was be incredible to hear the notts chants at wrexham's ground out performing the home team. that would help the nerves and the players. i dont the players will be too phased by the occasion, they just need to keep focus and do what they do best.

It's going to be a tough game for both teams, I feel. I can see Wrexham wanting to take the game to Notts, I can't see them allowing us much freedom on their home soil. If they press Notts, we need to make sure we don't allow them too much space, it's important that we force them to be more defensive than ourselves. It's a game where we could ideally do with Sam Slocombe's experience.

I am sure Archie Mair or Tiernan Brooks will do just fine, it would just be a blessing to go back to full strength in the goalkeeper department.

I don't expect Sam to make his return, but so I do expect Archie to start. He's grown in confidence and I hope he enjoys the occasion. With it being live on BT Sports, there will be pressure through the two squads.

We just need to play our best game and hopefully get the result needed to maintain the top spot.

This game has become a crucial fixture, and many supporters had anticipated its significance. However, I don't believe that we should fear Wrexham; rather, we need to be defensively sound. In my opinion, throwing everything at them would be unwise. We ought to attack when the opportunity arises, maintain possession when possible, and defend courageously whenever necessary. It's crucial to avoid making rash challenges and pulling shirts, and we must be wary of their tendency to dive, particularly Paul Mullin.

Notts must protect Archie Mair, preventing Wrexham from having clear one-on-one chances and blocking everything that comes our way. If we provide him with adequate coverage, I am confident that he will thwart their attempts. Let's go on the attack, create opportunities, and secure those points.

I wonder how the Wrexham supporters feel about the game on Monday? If anyone tuned in to the post-match coverage on BBC Nottingham, they would have heard some valid points being made about the possible repercussions of a loss going into such a significant match. While it may not mean much, given their sizeable team and the top-level skills of their goalkeeper, Ben Foster, it is a point worth considering.

In my opinion, we have the superior team and play the best level of football. Nonetheless, I anticipate a tough match for both teams. The pressure is on both sides, though somewhat more so for Wrexham after their loss to Halifax. Notts recognises how difficult it can be to rebound after a defeat when you're at the top of the league, so this game could go either way.

It might sound unusual, but I would be tempted to keep Ruben on the bench even if he is fit enough to start. This would mainly be to provide him with an additional layer of protection and to test whether the team can handle the challenge without him.

Introducing him after the first half might prove advantageous as the pace of the game would likely slow down by then, providing him with that additional protection. This would not mean that we underestimate Wrexham, but Luke Williams may have a different perspective. With Austin, Jones, Bostock and Palmer, we already have a formidable midfield. The decision would depend on how motivated Rodrigues is.

Releasing him when Notts requires additional quality may bring out the best in him. I am also hopeful that Richard Brindley will start, as I miss his elegance. Macaulay Langstaff and Cadwyn Scott should start together.

As far as the rest of the team is concerned, the decision seems apparent to me. However, keeping some quality on the bench may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Nonetheless, I am not the manager, thankfully, Luke Williams is.

I am uncertain if it is reasonable to leave out the exceptional talent that is Ruben Rodrigues if he is fully fit to play at @CliftonMagpie. If he is below 80%, then maybe you could consider leaving him out, but even then, he would still be more skilful and valuable than most of the Wrexham team.

Ruben's class is difficult to handle for opposing teams when he is in top form, and he generally performs his best in high-pressure games, which cameras and big games are two of his favourite things.

Moreover, with the opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the league, every player will want to start. Luke Williams will most likely comment on the training levels, as it is a positive message to convey before such a significant game. I completely agree with starting Cadwyn Scott and Macauley Langstaff upfront. They have a fantastic partnership. I would not leave out Jodi Jones, Aarron Nemane or Sam Austin; I would love to see them all play.

Sadly, I suspect that Luke Williams will place Austin on the bench. He will likely opt for the more energetic of the three, not that Austin does not perform well when he plays. The others, however, offer a lot more energy and pace. It feels like a Nottingham takeover in Wrexham! Their supporters are already suggesting that we avoid drinking before the game. If we must, they suggest we do it in Chester!

We need to do what we did in the first half of the game at Meadow Lane, keep the ball and impose our game on them. They can't bombard us with crosses and long throws if they can't get the ball off us!

I can't deny that I'm nervous about us having an inexperienced keeper for this one, this game will be a very different proposition to the last two and he'll be a lot busier. But maybe having a penalty specialist won't be so bad

If Rodders can walk, he will play. I think he was rested on Friday with a view to tomorrow. In Scott and Jones/Austin, we'll be able to bring real quality off the bench if we end up chasing the game.

In our home game against Wrexham, Notts put pressure on them from the start to finish.

They gave us a lot more time on the ball than I expect them to do today, whilst I think they'll focus on the counter and set pieces. I do think they'll aim to retain the ball a lot more and just be patient with moving it forward. This is something Notts does quite well themselves.

We need to make sure that defensively the keeper, whoever this may be, is protected and that any possible chance is blocked effectively. I don't feel as nervous about the game, I believe 100% in this set of Notts players and, whatever the outcome, I am extremely proud of them. If things go right for us, then we'll see incredible scenes. I hope that all the fans who managed to get tickets, go and enjoy the day. Make us proud, back the lads vocally for 90% and a BIG YOUUUU PIIIEEESSS!

I'm eagerly anticipating the upcoming match against Wrexham. Both teams have a lot at stake, with automatic promotion to the Football League on the line.

I know that this match is going to be an absolute must-win if we are to keep our title hopes alive. Wrexham is a strong opponent, and we're expecting a farce contest. It's going to be a classic game that both teams will look back on, regardless of the final result.

We need to put our best foot forward and leave everything on the pitch. We're not just playing for the promotion, but also for the pride and glory of our beloved club. It's going to be a nerve-wracking experience, but we have full faith in our players to deliver the goods.

The nerves are beginning to kick in, and the excitement is building. I sincerely hope to witness Notts demonstrate fearlessness against Wrexham. Almost every manager has claimed that we are the best team in this league. Therefore, the players must overcome their nerves and concentrate on asserting this point. If events unfold favourably for Notts, I trust that Luke Williams will encourage the team to give their all.

Whatever happens, I believe we are good enough to return to the Football League. I feel Luke Williams and the club are building strong foundations, which will hopefully be seen in today's game. Notts need to defend like lions and attack as a pack. Chances will come, the lads just need to make them count.

Phil Parkinson needed to talk less on BT Sports, I almost fell asleep during his segment! Aaron Mclean is so boring and frustrating, ugh. But the lineup for Notts looks strong, I hope Ruben Rodrigues shows his masterclass and teaches those Welsh **** what real football is all about!

Wrexham can't sustain their current pressure and pace, so we must be mindful of our passes and avoid rushing when a Wrexham player is near. Paul Mullin just dived trying to claim a penalty, BT Sports claimed it was a clear decision in favour of Wrexham but all Kyle Cameron did was reach. Minimal contact, yet Mullin had already started to go backwards before being touched.

Ollie Palmer going down by the slightest touch from Matt Palmer minutes before Mullin did in the penalty box shows Wrexham's antics.

I would personally welcome seeing more patient passing from Notts, just give tidy touches and make space. Frustrate them a little and just see how things open up, instead of just losing the ball. Wrexham are defending quite okay so far. We look a little nervous at the back but are doing fine as of now.

As disappointing as today is, we have plenty to play for. We have had a great season up to now.

it was a very entertaining game in the end, especially in the second half. i thought they did better in the first 45 minutes, they looked dangerous and we rode our luck at times. i want to say, i think the officials made very good calls throughout the game. the referee was aware of mullins antics, the assistants made the right call with each of the offsides. its unlucky for us, that baj had a nightmare of a game. him being shoved to the ground, it was a foul but the way he went down seemed very easy, his back flick was a huge blunder which is unlike him but i dont fault the calls.

its hard not to give the benefit of the doubt to a striker under those circumstances, its the same as the decision in our favour when mullin dived due to cameron slightly touching him.

i feel very sorry for scott that he missed the penalty, i disagree that it was bad. ben foster did well to save it, the ball was hit with power and a good placement. foster has always been decent at saving penalties. i dont blame the miss and although i think defensively notts should have done better. i am proud of the squad.

i honestly feel we missed baldwin in the back.

It's was a poor first half but the 2nd half more than made up for it. We need a miracle now but given how this season has gone, I wouldn't rule it out. Sky Sports are showing the goals from the game. When was the last time a NL game had such coverage?

Wow, what a free kick from John Bostock! I was initially expecting Jim O'Brien to take it, but I'm glad Bostock found the back of the net. O'Brien was fantastic going forward, and his ability to win the ball back was invaluable. His presence in the first half was crucial. Unfortunately, Ruben Rodrigues didn't contribute much, although he did well to win the free kick. The fact that he lost a tooth is a testament to how rough Wrexham were at times. Defensively, Notts were lacking when it mattered most, but in such a high-stakes game, it's understandable. I don't blame anyone, I just wish we could have come out on top.

It's important not to dwell too much on the defeat or the defensive errors that cost us the game. Despite this setback, Notts County have been performing incredibly well this season, and have improved significantly compared to previous seasons. The players clearly care about the team, but as with any game, mistakes can be made when under pressure.

During the first half, I felt that Notts could have done better in terms of possession, although we did end the half on a high note. Wrexham made it difficult for us, and we were lucky with the high defensive line that we were playing. In hindsight, we should have adapted to this earlier, before they scored their equaliser.

However, I must say that I was entertained by the team's efforts to get back into the game, and although we missed the chance to equalise from the penalty spot, we should still be proud of the lads for their hard work and determination. It's important to remember that even good teams can lose games, and it's unfortunate that we were not at our best for the full 90 minutes.
