Goal : JO'B v Crawley

Featured Replies

I had the perfect view of the goal, and the cross - it was excellently placed. Jim mentioned to me after the game that it was nice to get on the scoresheet and that he needed the goal. I said, it came at the right time, and that his celebration really lifted the spirit of the KOP.

Everything about it was perfect, the timing and execution.

I am delighted for Jim because he's someone you have to admire and look up to. Such a good player for Notts, It's a shame some fans have to spoil this by constantly saying he's too old. Leave it to him and Luke Williams to decide. Otherwise, just enjoy the memories because we won't always get such a loyal and friendly player who is Notts through and through. Similar to David McGoldrick.

A field where dreams become reality.

It was a great diving header and as you say @Chris it came at just the right time, the celebration was brilliant, Jim is a proper warrior and appears to love the club I hope we can find a role for him when he hangs up his boots but hopefully that won’t be for a while.

Proud to be a Notts County Supporter for over 60 years.

The free kick was perfectly placed and timed, executed efficiently. The Crawley Town keeper couldn’t have done much. For Jim O’Brien to control the header and place it just right, it was a good goal.

Jim O’Brien has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. I wonder if he will bag a hat-trick before Christmas? Usually, one goal leads to a flurry of them from him.

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

He deserved the applause when he left the field. The chant for him as he departed made his goal even more memorable.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
