Cheers fellow Pies, thanks for the welcome (I didn't know there were posts like this til I logged on for the first time a few mins ago :) )

Hoping for a great season at the Lane and on here. COYP

You will probably notice a bunch of welcomes popping up; we really love saying hi to new folks. It's always great to see some fresh names! I can't wait to hear your thoughts and comments. Out of interest, what era did you first start watching Notts? It's nice to learn a little about new people.

Not theAntiRed or TheAntiForest? πŸ˜‚

Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, either way. It's good to have you on board and as part of our community. I do hope you will continue to share your thoughts, points and have a laugh with us.

Don't worry about it, it's just good to see you joining in.

Fingers crossed we will have a good season, and we have plenty of good things to say! COYP

Cheers. Seems like a great community of Notts fans.

Me? I started off in the early to mid-1970s. My family thought I was at friends, but I'd taken 2 buses and was stood on the kop :) (in the era before fans segregation). Started going away in 1978, so right in time for the Jimmy-WilKo era in the top flight.

It's a family thing for me. We were all Notts fans, especially my grandfather, who used to watch even before he served in WW1. They took their eye of the ball though, as I started a Derby fan, but a quick intervention when I was a nipper put me back on the right track.πŸ˜„

I have a vivid Derby related memory from 45+ years ago...all the blood on the top of Alan Biley's fluorescent yellow head after Brian Kilcline head-butted him from behind. Were you there and can you remember that?

Yes, I would have been there,in the Ossie end upper tier and I would have teased my father in law(Chris's grandad} but I only have a vague memory of that day(Old age)

Hello, @theAnticlough. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham! I apologise for having missed this, but I hope you enjoy being a part of our Notts County community.

Hello, @theAnticlough.

I thought I had welcomed you already, so I am a little disappointed to learn I haven't. We are a very friendly group of fans, that love talking all things Notts and as you will see it's about the community here. I am very pleased to see you joining in, once the season gets underway I hope you will be all settled in and continuing your fantastic start. It just takes a few people to start, share and we are well away with good open discussions.

Cheers Clifton,

Yeah it does seem really friendly, and it'll be great to carry on in that vein. Had a branch of my family at Clifton, Farnborough Road and remember visiting so definitely good to be reminded of that! Let's enjoy the season, got a feeling it's going to have a better climax than the last one πŸ˜‰
