could Ray have smiled a little more?

Enjoyed reading the interview and grateful for any insight into the club, but I got the feeling he was not in a good mood when answering them. Surely he could have bantered a little, especially with the added question from TH grandson. Maybe a response of 'come back when the next tooth falls out then we'll discuss a deal!'

Mr Trew's no doubt busy and perhaps answered them in such a way to get the responses back to me quicker? I personally feel its a great touch for our chairman do things like this and I expect no insight.

BTW, I used the picture from Google images.

There must be a lot of pressure on all the board but especially him.

18 Million! 18!!

Also we are in a good situation so perhaps not grabbing the medias attention or negative feedback might be a good thing.

Its a good insight :)

i have yet to read it, so that is where i am heading.

i guess its an awkward position to be when asked questions, considering the fallout. I think its great that hes taken time to answer some of our questions! :)

I think it could have been a little less serious, I would not agree he sounded 'unhappy' text is hard to judge a persons emotion.

Its good to see the answers being humble and to the point, the ones which show how he felt about dismissing the managers for me shown that he has thought about it. Hard position for anyone because the chairman must try to please all, you cannot always do that. The response regarding Jimmy Spencer was interesting and all in all a great interview.

You cant really grumble with his responses, he took the time.

I like @tonyhateley grandson's question, let us know what he thinks Tony.

He should smile more at games! I'll tell you that. This season if anyone deserves a break it is him.

The Better Business model situation in the Championship & League 2 was Very Very Interesting.

League 1 is the Pit's for Notts ha ha ha

Not all supporters are as lucky as us, to have a Chairman who will answer questions like that. Credit to Ray Trew.

That's just how he writes, I remember it from NCM. He keeps it to the point. I'd rather have a chairman who can sound quite curt but gets things done than one who promises the earth and delivers nothing (Scardino, Trembling).

I thought his statement that Notts works best as a business model in L2 and the Championship interesting. I suppose crowds only improve minimally in L1, but the costs are greater.

Staying in League One will help to attract future supporters, however getting into the Championship would eventually make the world of a difference. I think it would take several seasons to see the attendance rise to the point where we see gates of 9,000+. Yes away teams will generally sell out the Sirrel stand but I doubt we would see this in ours.

If we can get back into the Championship, the longer we could fight for a place the more likely our attendance will start to change.

As a city Nottingham would look to our clubs rather than Premiership teams, majority will back Forest but more and more will catch onto us. Families who enjoy football would be more inclined to go where it's more relaxed and that's where I see us making a difference.

Ray is quite a serious person and a very busy one.  He only smiles when windy. Or at Preston after coming back from 2-0 to win.

Apparently, my singing stops him smiling at games. Strange, that.

I thought I'd replied to this but it's disappeared I blame the new moderators!

Anyway, I'll let George know of Mr. trews response and tell him he needs to get a bigger piggy bank so he can fit £18m In it.

We do have a resident weatherman who i'm sure would only be to pleased to give a forecast...........

He might need to know his dinner though...

One MAJOR note of caution, he has, in the past been prone to wild bouts of "lets predict the opposite and ignore all other advice", the main example of this being that he forecast a sunny mild day and yet, despite the best intentions of a woman on the phone who tried to convinve him otherwise, we had a bloody Hurricane, yes you read that right, a Hurricane, so really it is up to you if you ask him, if you do he can be found at @hissingdwarf, he does like to be addressed as Michael though

@Northants Pie we could have a P o N style "Spitting Image"....

Any other candidates?

@Northants Pie do you think we could cast @GrannyPie and @super_ram as something akin to The Queen and D o E?

Definitely @super-ram as the D o E as he does have a terrible lifelong affliction, likewise i'm sure the queen cajoles Charles with sticks, I mean come on, there has to be an explanation in that house somewhere for him

@Northants Pie well he is married to a K8, think we can pen that one in.

What we really need is a John Major, @PTID1862 who would you think would fit that role best?

Also sicking with the royal theme, could @notts-joe be Prince William?

I do not see how this opinion could be formed, I am rather concerned now. :P
