This will get much worse before it gets better

This season is gone and we are relegated. I'm not gonna even bother going into the off-field issues.

The problem is, the no-hopers that we have contracted (and there are a ton of them) are going to be with us next season. We will be in the national league, with 2 squads on L1 wages that can't perform to National League standards. It will be another 1-2 years before we can offload these leeches, and who knows if we have any money left by that point to be able to build a squad worthy of this club.

Apologies for the depressing outlook, just can't see it any other way.

Everything will resolve itself provided once the takeover happens, everyone pulls in the same direction, there's no easy fix but a united club is a better one. Relegation doesn't really worry me, it is scary to think the history of the club is at its darkest time but something better should eventually come from it.

A field where dreams become reality.

I think whatever happens, happens. Theres not much we can do about it... We arnt the players on the pitch or the staff behind the scenes.

It's only bound to get worse unless the rot is stopped quickly, only hope is for the takeover to happen. Players contracts could be bought out if the new owner has the money, this is always an option or they could come good with a better vibe around Meadow Lane.

I expect worse to happen.

The thought of dropping into the National League, one which I'm almost resigned too now, is an overwhelming feeling of dread.

So many teams have gone down and just got stuck there. Cheltenham were the last team to go straight back up in 2016, but it took the likes of Tranmere, Cambridge, Luton, Grimsby and Lincoln several years. Wrexham got relegated 10 years ago and they're still in there!

Barnet and Chesterfield who got relegated last season are languishing in the bottom half of the table. Life in non-league don't sound much fun.

It's almost unbelievable, baring a miracle and we stay up, that next season we could well be worrying about falling into the National League North!

You win one, lose two, draw on and win won.

Notts has to pick up their form but it's only true that things will get worse before it starts to improve for the long term.
