Tootle leaves for Chesterfield

Featured Replies

Watch him start to lift Chesterfield.

It wouldn't surprise me if he scored a few goals early into playing, it would send a strong message. It's time both parties moved forward, he stood no chance with playing with Neal Ardley here.

Most disappointing exit, the rest makes sense but this one is clearly due to Toots still being in contact with Kevin Nolan. I would put money on Neal Ardley's comments being directed at these departing players.

A field where dreams become reality.

Good luck to Matt Tootle, he should be playing regularly at this stage of his career.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

It's quite bemusing that we now have an issue at right back, DKE doesn't seem to be anywhere near the first team. He's back from injury right? Brindley has been quite poor in recent games.

I know some moaned about Tootle for being a liability.

What you got from him was a consistent performance, which is the main reason why I feel like venting my frustration that Ardley constantly backs players who are poor in form. I wish Matt all the very best, I thank him for his memories and for all that he did.

Best for both parties I feel, I liked Matt but his days did seem numbered at Notts. A fresh start at this point in his career, it would be best.
