Pride of Nottingham Player of the Season 2020/2021

Please take the time to vote for the Pride of Nottingham Player of the Season, the choices had to be narrowed down to 20 but if enough fans vote for someone unnamed (which would be a surprise) they will be added to the list in place of the lowest voted player.

Take a moment to confirm you've voted by commenting below.

You can explain why you've voted for the player of your choice, but you can also simply remain anonymous if you would prefer. Votes via social media will be added in time.

Voting ends this Friday 9pm (11/06/2021)

I've gone for Ruben Rodrigues as even before his recent form, I felt he was something special and gave his all throughout the season. He struggled with fitness a little early on, but you could see glimpses of his class and I believe he truly deserves it.

Honourable second mention (not counted) is Connell Rawlinson who has been a rock for us.

Doyler. I've never been a fan tbh, but his contributions have been immense this season. Occasionally messes up a pass, but his vision for that special ball...plus his contrubution to the team and now the management team.

Strange hwo things go as I'll happily admit to offering to pay his taxi fare to any other club! Now he's the first name on the sheet. In saying that though, I'd expect him to be going for semi retirement next year and hopefully staying on as a coach or assistant manager going forwards.

This was tricky. I'd usually look for a player who has been consistent all season, but there aren't actually many candidates - Rawlo and DKE were solid under Ardley, while Rodders and Miller have caught fire under IB. Ellis has really galvanised us after signing and has played a really huge role in our revival with his guts, determination and sheer spirit. But it's Wootton's goals that kept us ticking over when little else was going for us and kept us in contention.

Kyle Wootton for me has been one of the main players this season, yes he had a dry patch but that came down to poor form mostly. The lack of creativity didn't hinder him much, as he could turn a game on it's head. Always a quality finisher.
