Looks like Sam Graham will be returning to his parent club, it's a shame as he's been looking better in recent weeks and I feel he had settled down. I wish him nothing but the best.

Bromley have a very good attack. Michael Cheek and Reeco Hackett-Fairchild have both scored 5 this season. Adrian Clifton is a goal threat and so is recent loan signing Shawn McCoulsky on loan from Forest Green.
Believe they play a 4-4-2 with Hackett-Fairchild and Cheek up front. Luke Coulson is a danger from the wing and we will have to limit the impact of Billy Bingham from central midfield.
Although in the last few away games, Notts have controlled the play in the second half and dominated teams but haven't made there pressure count. We played for 90 minutes last Saturday and won, we need to do that on the road as well.
It will be interesting to see if Neal Ardley changes anything, I do feel the formation might need some revision but otherwise the teams good to go. There must be 2-3 players itching to get on the pitch to do well.
I just hope Pierce Bird is given a chance.
We can't just pay players to be passengers when they could do a job. I think it will be 1-1.

Disappointing. The knives will be out for NA again. Notts are lacking consistency. Quality is there.
-
Defo not the best of games, a loss right at the end. Shame.

What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.

It's great to see the news on the Notts Website about the Italian Magpies 'Two hearts, one soul - From Nottingham to Turin', logo / shirt; these sound great ! As there is a "clash" in sponsorship these cannot be obtained via the official Notts Shop (I've asked !). So, do you know of anywhere / any contact to get hold of these ?

Should Mitch Rose be the captain of Notts County?
As you will have guessed, I like skippers and players who lead by example. I think the club has lacked a proper captain for sometime, whilst I do think that Michael Doyle does okay, I do think he's someone who shouldn't always be starting matches. Mitch Rose for me offers a lot of what Neal Bishop did back in the day, a calm influence who focuses on organisation rather than pointing the finger.
It was Rose for me that filled the gap the last time Doyle stupidly got sent off.
He did a very good job I feel, showing maturity and calming presence which I think actually helped the results.
I do think Doyle is needed, however, I see him as being more of a rotational player which I don't think Neal Ardley sees himself. We can guarantee that Doyle will return once his suspensions up regardless of how the player(s) who replaces him temporarily perform. So, the captaincy is unlikely to change but I do feel I could argue against this decision.

I just noticed PON has a new member and thought I would welcome @Katie Sudlow to the site.

So today I was thinking about the international scene and how currently Harry Kane is captain of England but not of his club.
My question is should the England captain need to be captain of his club first before becoming England captain.?
-
Slocombe 6 - Safe and steady when called upon
Brindley 8 - What a debut. Looked comfortable in possession and defending. Gets forward well too
Graham 7 - Did well in possession. Won his headers. Calm assured performance
Turner 7 - Strong game from the fridge till he was subbed
McCrory 7 - Got forward well. Did really well defensively when we went down to 10
Boldewijn 5 - Worked hard in parts.
O'Brien 9 - Played a continent splitting ball to Thomas for the goal. Ran the show. Unreal performance
Doyle 4 - Was fine until the sending off. Will have to look at the replay to sit if it was a red. Thankfully it didn't do too much damage to us
Rose 7 - Has this thing of not playing great in the first half and then turns into Marco Verratti in the second half.
Thomas 7 - Pulled Halifax defenders out of position and was an all round nuisance for Halifax but please just take a chance in front of goal
Wootton 9 - Bordering on 10. Magnificent. Won everything and scored. No Wootton no party
Subs
Booty 6 - Did what he had to do when he was subbed on. Got us going on the counter when Halifax came forward
Rawlinson 6 - Covered well for Turner

Lets be constructive a little here okay, I want members to name 3 players who have stood out for all the right reasons and 3 who haven't.
Leave a short sentence about why and how they can improve.
Standout players for me.
Kristian Dennis: When started he's looked lively, always looking like a goal threat and despite not starting he has stood out for me.
Jim O'Brien: A few under par performances but generally a driving force within the Notts squad this season.
Dion Kelly-Evans: A good performer, probably more of a winger than a defender but he gives a lot of width to the squad.Standout players who need to improve.
Enzio Boldewijn: I accept he's weak at defending and may not like it, however when he under performs which is often, he doesn't carry the team it carries him.
Michael Doyle: Not as good as promoted by the club or some of its fans, he could use his experience in a wiser way but is often wasteful with his decision making.
Ben Turner: He doesn't look fit in my eyes, generally struggles but does okay. He could be on the other end of the spectrum with a little more application I feel. -

Much better, the game play was better and we won.
-
Good lively game, I felt like Notts remained on top of it and pushed on after Doyle's rush of blood.
-
I thought despite the scoreline the game was very entertaining, the referee made it difficult and slowed down the match with some of his nonsense. Very keen to book Notts but let Halifax off with murder I felt.
That should have driven the players on to claim the three points.
