Yesterday I was invited down to watch the Academy train, it was a great experience. To be able to watch the quality in the coaching and young players was something I really enjoyed, I also took pictures of the occasion.
It's good to see young players being taught properly and although the majority will not even make the youth team, it's good for us as a club because narrowing a group of 50 (lets say) to a group of 12-15, must mean the better players are available to come through our ranks and of course some of the other youngsters will naturally find other clubs.
Quite a few are actually Notts fans, with parents who support the club.
I joked to myself about how many actually become die hard fans via the training they receive which is completely free for the youngsters. Very proud of the club! -
If you've got BT Sport you can watch Notts Ladies play Arsenal on Sunday.

Now here's a thing, Shaun Derry was sent to the stand in Tuesday nights game so presumably he will be banned from the touchline for at least one game.
My question is can he name himself as a substitute and get around the touchline ban? He isn't banned as a player so presumably he can and whats more as a sub he can warm up running down the pitch and give instructions to players at the same time so he doesn't have to stay in his technical area.

As a 26-year-old lover of Benidorm (the resort, not the telly show), I wish to call upon all my fellow Beni-heads to discuss goings-on, stories, and so on about the lovely resort!
And those of you who don't like it... tell us why!

Hi there Magpie fans
Any chance I can get some extra signatures for my club to acquire a new stadium? Only takes a few minutes, we would really appreciate your help.
We have been trying for the last 20 years, but setbacks due to location, nimby's, and funding have set us back.
This is an official petition made by Grimsby Town Football Club over the last few months, which will be handed into our local council for planning permission.
Circa 500 permanent jobs, and 500 temporary construction jobs. For the long term survivability of the club, not only will it help the club, it will help with community projects in Education and Health.
Thank you.

Imagine going to Meadow Lane for an 11 hour concert and seeing the likes of Fleetwood Mac, the Tremeloes, Georgie Fame, the Move, Pink Floyd and Status Quo all for the meagre sum of 87 and a half pence.
This is exactly what happened in 1969 when the Nottingham Pop and Blues Festival was held at Meadow Lane. What a fantastic day that must have been I was 17 at the time but I honestly can't remember seeing anything about it but I wish I had gone.

Today sees the return of ex manager Steve Cotterill with his Bristol City team.
This will be another tough test for the 'Pies. Who's going? Let's have your score predictions and attendance.
I reckon 1-1 with a goal from Ismail.
It's going to be a nice sunny day so I reckon we'll get 5,879, with 451 from Brizzol.

So now that Warnock has been appointed at Crystal Palace, the rumors are now that he wants Derry to be his assistant.

Should he/will he?
Should we be worried?

Good business?
I think this is a brilliant move by the reds. Unpredictable, will score goals guaranteed. Off the field I'm sure Liverpool have the safety nets around him to keep him focused on football.
Best piece of business this summer behind us signing Roy Carroll and them pocketing a shed load for Suarez.
Opinions?

Just wondering why will playing on Sunday?

Port Vale, interesting game. What do I make of this?
It's hard to tell, it seems the early signs suggest we might be better away from home. I'll take a draw here and I think it's very likely, though Vale can and perhaps might come off better. I just hope to see some comments here to give me an insight to the match, as it will be weird not knowing myself.
COME ON YOU PIES!
Ps. Folks by all means feel free to start the match thread, I'd appreciate it since I will be away for two weeks but once back PoN will be back to full steam. -

Interesting interview, it covered all the things fans would like to know.
Bart was released for free (released from his contract).
Gary Liddle left on good terms (his Wife didn't want to move and they were about to become parents).
He mentioned rogue players.
How he thinks this season will be better than the last.
Alan Sheehan wanted 1k more and was offered it, however he left (as we know).
He mentioned how he was disappointed with CK.
What did you guys make of it? -
Nowt to do with Notts but I'm fuming that our top scorer from last year Agard has dropped down a division to join Bristol City!!
They must be playing good wages, why else would he drop down a division.
Undisclosed fee, thought to be 700k + add ons!!!

I went in the shop after the game yesterday, I bought duvet cover as a present for my Grandson's birthday.
I was really disappointed by the shop assistant Lyn I think her name was she barely acknowledged me while she was talking to the other assistant, she took the item off me and scanned it, told me the price, took my card off me put it in the machine and continued chatting while I was putting my pin in etc. then gave me my receipt without so much as a thank you or goodbye or anything.
What happened to good manners and customer service?

This will be a test of character, I'm expecting a better performance but I always said this would be more difficult than last Saturday's game. If a team gets on top of us, it's going to be interesting to see how we respond. I am hopeful for a win but I see a draw.
We need to get our first win, I'll be in the crowd trying to impact the game vocally.
It will be depressing if it doesn't go to plan. 2-2 -
Hi,
I'm the pre-match reporter for the Port Vale Fans Forum One Vale Fan.
Part of my role is to contact fans of our forthcoming opponents to ask them a few questions and gain their views on the upcoming fixture between our sides in order to produce a report which we release on the site a couple of days prior to the game.
I wondered if one or more of you (up to a maximum of 3 or 4) have a few minutes and would be prepared to share a few views if you would kindly offer your feelings on the game by answering the following few questions;
1. Tell us a bit about yourself & history as a fan?
2. How do you expect your team to do this season (including a forecast for a positional finish for the entire season)?
3. Who should we watch out for (one or more danger player/s)?
4. What are your thoughts on your manager and his signings this season?
5. What are your thoughts on your board & off field club activities?
6. Which one Vale player would you take past or present to add value to your squad?
7. How do you expect Vale to do this season?
8. What is your team's most memorable game with Vale (good or bad reasons)?
9. A score prediction (and potential scorers for both sides)?
Please also feel free to include any other information you feel worthy and I will knock it into a report as per the example below regarding contribution from Plymouth fans from a game with them last season;
http://www.onevalefan.co.uk/site/opposing-views-plymouth/
To enable me to produce this in good time I need a reply by Wednesday 20th August and the report should appear on the website a day or two before our fixture.
Please also let me know if you would like me to include your name on the article.
Many thanks for your potential support in this matter.
Best Regards,
REP
