Jimmy Knowles may now have the opportunity to further his career. I thought he performed well with Notts and if he can do well for Boston, there’s no doubt he’ll be able to step back up.

I believe he performed well for us, given the circumstances. I hope he proves to be successful for Boston as well. This acquisition should be a positive one for them.

I liked him and got why we signed him on loan, yes at times he got a bit bullied but he was only 18/19. 10 goals from 27 games was decent for his first proper spell in men’s football, especially when you consider he came off the bench a lot of the time. I think had he been “one of our own” a lot of fans would’ve been less harsh on him.

Jimmy Knowles should get stronger at Boston. He needs to maintain his pace, but the move should be good for him. I always thought he could do a job. I know people on PON weren’t keen on him back then, but I thought he would improve in a good team.

I would have loved to see Notts County take a chance on Jimmy Knowles during our National League run. It's essential to find a young and promising striker who can learn from our current players and play a rotational role when required. Good luck to Jimmy Knowles, and let's hope we can nurture and develop young talents like him at the club for future success.

I reckon the lad gave a good go, despite being thin. But, maybe he ain't ready for big matches at our level or National League. Not sure if he's had enough practice. He did try hard and looked decent, but I wonder, if Mansfield didn't fancy him much, why would Notts?

I thought Jimmy Knowles played really well when he was feeling good about himself. He always tried his best, but unfortunately, some of our fans didn't appreciate him and wrote him off even after he played really well. They would say that his hattricks were just lucky, for example, which wasn't very fair. I think you can always make your own luck in football. Anyway, I wish Jimmy Knowles all the best!

I must say, I was rather impressed with Jimmy Knowles' performance and, despite being a tad lightweight, I believe he could have been a solid addition to our squad. True, his build might have made it challenging to contend with more imposing defenders, but let's not forget that his nimbleness and technical skills would have certainly been an asset. After all, Knowles has demonstrated significant potential, and with the right guidance and support from experienced teammates, it isn't far-fetched to imagine him overcoming this particular limitation. It's a shame we didn't secure his signing, for he truly could have blossomed into quite an exceptional talent within our ranks.

Jimmy Knowles did well for Notts, I know he had hoped Mansfield would allow him to join us and there was serious interest from Notts. Yet when a young striker does well with a rival team, that managed to get the best out of it. It's unlikely that they won't give him a chance.

I don't think Mansfield would get the best out of strikers that we do; we played a certain way and Mansfield are completely different to that.

Good luck to him at Boston. I recently went past their ground, and it looks nice from afar.

Good luck to Jimmy Knowles on his move to Boston United! I must admit, I’m surprised he dropped down to that level. It’s a shame that no League Two teams thought to take a gamble on his services. Nevertheless, I’m sure he’ll do great things at Boston United and continue to develop as a player. All the best, Jimmy!
