It may or may not be a load of rubbish but it’s good fun speculating and does no harm as far as I can see.

I'll just say one word @Fan of Big Tone.......MUNTO

I can't see businessmen conducting things publicly, they would want to keep it private and Alan selling now would see him lose his investment as I can't see anyone paying his debts back at this stage.

Exactly @SouthwestPIE.and would you make public your Email address etc inviting loads of crank replies.

@super_ram statement of intent to Notts CEO??? Make up your own minds...I believe that a serious inquiry is being made

Who wrote the tweet?

I can't see it happening, some might be wishing it to be true but it seems far fetched to me.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Yes but I meant that us fans speculating does no harm, there will always be rumours about one thing or another and fans will speculate.

Munto was a fraud....

The Americans were interested before Hardy took over... and with Hardy saying he had some regrets taking over Notts, maybe that was a "signal" to spark some interest again?

Yes we have a history second to none, a heritage to be proud of and that would always be of interest to most Americans, but there are other founder members of the football league in a far better position than Notts; with far more earnings potential. Why on earth would they be interested In Notts ! We’ve been here before with so called “major investors” on the horizon Alan Hardy says he’s never heard of them and I believe him. Until, or if anything concrete is announced we should all dismiss any speculation that may hamper our progression out of the mess we find ourselves in at present.

I'm not suggesting any fraud @Piethagoram but in the same way as @Fan of Big Tone meant.I remember the Munto era and how some fans, understandably, got carried away.I would hate fans hopes to be lifted by false speculation. That would be harmful

This is like adding 2+2 and saying it's 6.

AH most likely regrets it because he threw a lot of money at gaining promotion this season.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

No one can say that it is totally untrue and no one can say that it’s true, except the people who may or may not be involved.

All we can do is wait and see.

Fair enough mate, It’s something to talk about until the next game @Magic magpie some people might find it boring I guess but others may be interested, if I find a thread I’m not interested in I move on.

In a way I hope Hardy doesn’t sell but makes a success of his tenure as owner, I think we’d all be happy with that.

Until there's some truth in it, it's exactly that. Untrue...

It has to be proven to be anything more than fabricated nonsense.

I think until there is something concrete I wouldn't buy into this, if it was a local businessman or a smaller company I would have an easier time in believing it.

Little has come out from this story, this to me would suggest there's nothing in it. No club can keep something like this quiet, there are people everywhere that leak information and one of the big media groups would have unearthed it by now.

I also don't think anyone can suggest there's been any sort of offer on the table, not even as a backer because there's no evidence to suggest it.

Speaking on radio Nottingham Hardy says he has had no contact with the Malloy family but would be interested from anyone who has big money to invest in the team and the training ground.

Asked if he’d had any contact from anyone interested he said he’d had two offers to buy the club in the summer for more than he’d paid for the club but it wasn’t right for the club because although they met his asking price they didn’t have the money to take the club forward so he rejected the offers.

We are never going to know till a deal is nearly finalised because as others have said, its not going to be public.. it would be like splashing it all over the papers because alot of people would have a view on it but some will try to interfear.
