At least the old one worked and didn't use electric.

wished they would use something easier whilst the scoreboard is broken.

Its been broken for so long, it would nake sense to use an alternative whilst its not available.

I wonder if any fan would still do this? The club can't have employed someone to put the scores up surely??

I cant imagine they would employ someone to change the score manually either.

I think they'd rely on fans to operate it @super_pie

At least it worked.

I miss the old electricial one I grew up seeing, I believe it still works - at least several staff members have said this. There's supposedly an issue with the software, I'd love to be given the chance to write a new program that would control it.

Fond memories of that one but the above is before my time I'm afraid.

Never realised it took two people. :rollonfloorlaughing:

One to watch and the other to listen on a radio.

Brilliant picture. The old bloke listening to the scores coming in is brilliant, much more charming than typing the scores into a laptop.

They probably don't want to rely upon someone getting it right or wrong.

Thank god things moved on, if it was in use still people would be moaning about the club being dated. ????

People would still moan, but at least the scoreboard wouldnt stop working.

I don't know, I think it looks kinda cool.

Fans moan regardless but I think some nostalgia could go a long way right now.

I have fond memories of the scoreboard, it added comedy to the lane when mishaps happened over the scoreline! Wonderful share.

I was wondering if that ever happened - did they scramble back out to change the score?

It's a shame that there isn't really an old part of the ground left. The oldest part as far as I know is the sports centre behind the Family Stand, built in 1981.

Any scoreboard would be better than none.

I think so too. Unlike the earlier start to the season, we will want to know the score if we are winning.

Well we are in March and still no score board we do have the old one I’m told. But the chances of the score board getting repaired cause right now we other things we need to invest spend money on. I definitely  wouldn’t mind if we used the old one.

i wished they would use this or fix the current one properly, at least after the takeover.
