A very balanced and well thought out review of the game from a Stags fan:

http://inancienttimes.co.uk/?p=1045

Highlight comes when he criticises our attendance despite being double their average home attendance, and when they took more fans to Notts away than they get at home.

Obviously the generations of inbreeding has affected his sight!

this is the reason i dont read much to do with opposition teams or fanzines, they just to mardy and create knee jerk reactions. its very deluded and i think hes forgetting how dirty mansfield was. none of them lot would read a fair balanced piece tho would they?

What a plonker.Unfortunately every team has this type of 'fan' They only see the opposition fouls, their team is always victimised  by the officials(who are blind) and they turn on their team when they lose.

Every away side has fans who blames the opposition and makes stuff up to try and justify the loss. The officials don't always help when they miss alot of fouls and card incidents.

Jesus, if I wrote anything like that our own fans would rip me a part let alone the opposition. It's bizarre and very clickbaity for me, not much honesty or value in reading it.

A field where dreams become reality.

The ONE thing I can sympathise with is the writer's frustration at the day trippers who don't turn up at home games. That would rile me too.

As for the rest, he needs to grow up a bit and learn to lose gracefully.

Losing is part of the game and after the season we've had, we know that all too well... we have turned a corner now.

I don't see what the need is to be so negitive about losing one game, just because we are rivals... they've won how many in the past.

Its not as if they are fighting against relegation or wrongly lost..

I didn't read it, just knowing it's written by a "stags fan" is enough to put me off. I suppose he wrote it quicker with his 6 fingers.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Let's not forget that some Notts fans are like this, they couldn't be honest if their life demanded on it and its just the way the game is at times.

This is a special read even by those standard.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I could write a better read in my sleep or even after a very long day, it wouldn't take much effort.

This Mansfield fan is wasting everybody's time writing stuff like this.

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

It could be written to get this reaction, he could be deluded or it might be written out of fear that they will slip up. Either way he's allowed his heart to rule his mind, it's well written but very tinted towards his own team.
