So now we have had the full fixture list for a month or two what away day dose every one fancy going to or are you going to.

Genuine question as I have not done many away games but keen to do more. I like wearing my colours and jerseys to away games but I am aware some places can be a bit rough and violent come the full time whistle. Has anyone had any previous bad experiences at any grounds or would not recommend going coloured up to certain games?

I grew up watching Barry Elliot in the Chuckle Brothers, I used to find it very funny and I missed it when it was no longer shown on the CBBC.

It's hard to imagine Paul without Barry.

Rest in Peace Barry Chuckle :(

Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @rusty_pies, I hope you enjoy being a part of our Notts County community

@Phillip berrisford welcome to Pon it’s great to have you on board. If your unsure of anything feel Free to get in touch only to pleased to help.

It’s the opening day of the season to be fair most of them we normally loose but today we looked good and this is a team with 10/11 new players and a new number one as well they need to gel as one it’s not gunner be a overnight thing I still feel we will do well .... look at Man City last year they were awful at the start of the season but still won the league... it’s how you find your way in a season .... we need to be the 12th man because with the refs if anything is to go by the lads need our support .. we don’t need to sing or make a noise all the way through as the 12th man it’s up to us let the lads know we are behind them all the way .. praise when they are doing well  .. also they need to hear each other as well. Today was a fair result you learn more loosing or drawing than winning ... there are 45 games left ... and I’m not gunner be harsh on the lads .. this is leauge two not old Trafford at end of the day and even they struggle .. the one thing I’m learning is County fans are passionate they love this club but we all have our own way to show it .. but it’s only day one guys it’s a Marathon not a sprint ..

i welcome everyones opinion guys so please if u have time reply this is my thoughts and would love to hear yours

So with the nerves and excitement kicking in ahead of the season opener at Meadow Lane, thought I would see how our opponents setup and who are their danger men ahead of the fixture.

United have added to their squad well in the summer adding a few big names in league two. Frank Nouble, Harry Pell and Luke Norris being all big names that I expect to start in the season opener. Sammie Szmodics is also a big name in their squad who was important to keep hold of. I think they will setup a 3-5-2 formation with Szmodics playing in the CAM role with Norris and Nouble up top which is by no means an easy strike force to control.

Notts still look week in defence and I do think a keeper is needed before the start of the season. Our defence has not got the strength to deal with Nouble but Norris should be kept quiet if played. In this match I think we  have got to attack to defend, if they play a 3-5-2 then this leaves gaps all over the pitch for Hemmings, Dennis and Boldewjin to run riot. Think this will be a high scoring game myself, 2-2 or 3-2 Notts.

Nolan seemed in doubt after Luton so he needs to ensure his match tactics are executed and delivered by the players. Be interesting to see what version of Notts turns up and to see if the players have had enough game time in pre-season to gel. This is where it counts now and every point matters. Also I hope if we score we have got out of this habit of hanging on a 1 goal lead as we lost too many points to sitting back last season.

Let me know your thoughts?

And overall. Did we show signs of promise and do you think things will gel quickly or take lots of time like Mansfield last season

Notts are back in action its been lovely weather whats everyone else been up.?

so we all know sunday is a day of rest (meant to be ill inform work on this) and you can't beat a sunday lunch. whats everyones favourite sunday lunch is it a beauty full roasted joint with vegetables or something else.?

Based on Piethagoram's mean of 5

Fitzsimons 5.5 Not a confident looking performance but kept an important clean sheet. Nearly cost a goal with an errant kick and always look to release the ball to feet.

Tootle 5 Subdued in its own way. Couldn't get into his normal attacking positions

Duffy 4 Took a yellow card for the team, usual rounds of verbal rollickings  handed out, some for no real reason but to hide his own shortcomings

Brisley 4 Both centre backs looked weak and his distribution was abysmal at times (despite reading some had him for MotM)

Jones 4.5 improvement from his debut at Coventry , some good balls in but needed too muck at the back which blunted attacking intentions

Boldewijn 5.5 Some nice touches but it is down to the failure of the defence to get the ball to him

Hewitt 4 Just look at Pell for Colchester as the player we needed. Hewitt's pass completion rate found lacking again and maybe Nolan has a blind spot with this player

Vaughan 5 Unconvinced, yes some neat passing but it doesnt help if Hewitt doesnt make himself available to receive

Thomas 6 Nothing to write positively in the first 30 minutes but suddenly grew into the game. Unlucky not to score

Stead 4.5 Lack of pace increasingly obvious and one wayward shot.

Hemmings 5.5 at least held up the ball well to try to work positions

I've noticed that Notts don't do family tickets i know that Panthers (Nottingham) and cricket t20 do this well last season any way as county and panthers and T20 are like each other a family game where families are encouraged cause of the reasonable pricing structure. families love to make memories but money can/could be a issue so family tickets are a great way surely to attract new families keep them coming back and help the attendance.

Am i wrong guys whats everyones opinion on this.?

Apparently we were close to signing him on loan from Leicester but yet again Scunthorpe came in and he went to them instead

So to me Both Notts and Panthers are the same in their approach to pricing and fans and both are for the fans.

So my question do we have any double fans as I call them goes to Notts and panthers.

What are we all getting printed on the back of our shirts this year. I'm getting my home kit tomorrow at the pre-season friendly.

Been trying to collect all the shirts from 16 years old so always have WATSON then my age as the number so mine this year will be:

Home - WATSON 19

Away - HEMMINGS 17

There are a lot of words that I feel sound old-fashioned, VHS tapes and the word "video" seems very old now but it wasn't that long ago that they was mainstream gadgets.

What words sound old-fashioned to you and, why?

How do you think all three will fair this season?

Would you say it seems that all have gone for automatic promotion or are they building for the future?

We are less than 24 hours away from the magpies new league seaon my question is simple are you ready to be #12man and cheer the boys on.?

So another chapter in the Ifollow service for Notts today.

Seems that uk based fans can pay £45 and have live streaming of the Tuesday night matches now.

Announcement reads a little confusing, but my reading of it is only Tuesday night games.

I can see this being good for fans who cant travel to night games.

The devil in me though says why wouldn’t thy get a good VPN and get the full season package ?

So sum up the gaffer in just one word.

Who was your Man of the Match for Notts County's home game with Colchester United?

The few comments which mention the release of the fixtures seemed quite happy with the games, I'm curious to know which fixtures PON members feel are the key games for any potential promotion push this upcoming season.

What are the main key fixtures during the 2018-19 season for you?
