Concerning that Jodi limped off near the end of the match against Gillingham. Stuart Maynard talked about it during his post match interview & intimated that the Club will assess his injury on Monday. Will be very unlucky for Jodi & Notts if he is out for a while.

What's more concerning is that the injuries to players are mounting up. There is good news that Cedwyn Scott is on the road to recovery, so is McDonald & Ness, but Jatta has had a recurrence of the effects of his head injury, Edwards out till at least Xmas, now Jodi.

Just hope that Jodi's injury isn't serious & he won't be out for long. He'd be certainly missed for his creativity.

@Turkey_Twizzler mentioned this:

Firstly, I hope Jodi is okay. He looked concerned and barely able to walk, he wasn't as such just limping but not walking on his left foot. The support will most likely help with compression and support. The crutches will just help him avoid putting too much weight on his injury, or putting his other leg/foot in danger due to compensating how he walks.

We can't really read into this, just as to how serious the injury is.

There's more negative signs from how he got up, dropped to the floor. He sat for a moment before attempting again, only to hobble afterward. It could be a potential sprained foot/twisted ankle.

It didn't seem to be the actual "leg" which is a potential good sign, even though this isn't ideal.

Yeah, just have to wait and see. Sometimes the impact injuries where you get kicked are the worst in terms of soreness for the early stages and it could all just be precautionary. I’m hoping it’s nothing more than a horrible bruise that will calm down and recover quicker than actual ligament or bone damage. But then again leaving on crutches seems a bit sever for just a bruise…

We all will be thinking the worst, but time will tell. I think Jodi Jones’ reactions seemed quite concerning, but even he will be thinking the worst. Let’s hope it’s nothing serious and that he can return after some time away, as I do think he will miss a few games.

I have looked back at the tackle, which was a fair challenge. The Gillingham player won the ball, but he did go through and clatter Jodi Jones, which you could say was reckless. I think it was knowingly done, but well-timed. I can’t complain about it. Jodi was holding his lower leg, and his socks were pulled around the area he was holding. It looks quite serious, but we can only speculate. I think he will miss several games if we are lucky. The worst scenario is that he will be ruled out longer than Curtis Edwards has been.

It is a worry with several players injured already.  The squad is definitely stronger and therefore can counter the impact of injured players better. But still, after watching yesterday's game,  it still seems that the key players to hold the ball and drive forward are few, such as Jones, Crowly and Tsaroulla and with one of them potentially out for a bit, do we need more players to take up this mental and attitude of driving forwards?

It’s a concern, but Jodi Jones is always going to be tackled. It’s sad that he’s suffered an injury, but it’s part of the game, and all we can do is await news and hope he recovers well. Fans will worry because he’s such a good player and due to his past injuries.

This could be a crucial injury and might be a problem for Notts, short term or even long term. We need to take care of Jodi Jones and not risk him too much. I'm not saying we can’t play him against tough teams, just that we need to be cautious and let him recover properly. We’ll have to wait and see, hopefully Notts will share some news tomorrow or when they know more.
