As MAD seems to be going towards a £2 per month subscription for ad-free viewing, we might have an influx of members in the next few weeks. I don't expect many to seriously pay to view MAD, but the other side of the coin is the mods on here need to keep tight control as I would really hate to see the debates we have here descend into intolerance and disrespect like they do on there.

We won't let that happen @hissingdwarf no fear.

Not only are they wanting £2 a month for ad-free viewing, they are also blocking people from viewing the forum if they have an ad-blocker installed.  Looks like a certain site is on it's last legs (the company behind it I mean rather than our specific forum).

Perhaps you should have a special  board for the undesirable NCM refugees (preferably with padded walls). That sausage bloke in particular is a right trouble-maker.  B)

I've finally abandoned MAD today as I can't even view the forum. I'm not turning off adblock just to please them.

If it does happen then I don't mind helping out with the moderating on here. Rather that than have it ruined!

I would appreciate this hissingdwarf - It's within my plans to seek more mods and people who have time to help with the running of the site.

The company behind Mad aren't in any financial difficulties as such.

You will always be welcomed here LEPie.

I don't blame people for not turning off the adblocker or avoiding the £2, it's a shame that the company behind the network don't seem to understand the situation and I am too nice to say it's our gain but PoN will be no different. I've only ever wanted to provide a fun place for the fans, as those who have gotten to know over the period of time see.

Any exiles will be made welcome regardless and I ask all members just to treat each other as to how you would want to be treated.

At the end of the day we support the same club, we're black and white in blood.

A field where dreams become reality.

i hope fans start to see what @notts-joe is trying to achieve and give him the time, if people join in we can achieve far more than what we have as a community and considering what we have done, thanks to the guidance of joe we can go further.

notts as a community should be proud to have a fan who only wants to make a difference.

join in folks and have fun!

Some of us come on here to avoid the intolerance, bullying and sheer rudeness that pervades NCM.

In "the good old days" it used to be witty, incisive and there was plenty of lively debate too. Over he past couple of years it has become abusive, inhabited by too many with an axe to grind either pro or con the Club - and the usual suspects who put down anyone who disagrees with them. The there are the politically motivated ones.....the nutters..... etc, etc.

I hope most of those who like provocatively arguing the toss stay away tbh. Most would be welcome, providing they stick to the rules, of course.

So I turned off ad-block and went on the site.  This is the main homepage of the forum:

I know what you mean, when I first joined it had a good 'feel' and it is why I never took the old site very seriously.

Part of it's success is it's downfall.

I feel we have the 'community' feel here, it's growing and I know I can maintain that. It's all about treating people respectfully and if people cannot agree to that, then I don't have room for them here and any decisions will be based by the community if that was to ever happen.

A field where dreams become reality.

Can anyone actually trust the network? Who remembers the great blackout of 2013 and 2012 where anyone got banned except the clowns who mod it?

PON is a decent site. I hope more of this switching over make the grade and support the site!

Waste of time bothering.

You can speak your mind here, soon others will cotton and decide to switch. They can't keep a sinking ship up, nothing they will do can change any of this and it will be better for fans in general to get on side here now.

The benefits really outweigh the complaints.

People want PON to be NCM and it isnt, that is a good thing in my books. I would not waste my time on anything like that and I think this place is balanced. There is discussions but a mix of light humour. Nobody shys away from the serious discussions but why be abusive for no reason? I do not think some would do it at the games and why online?

Join in people and see.

I don't quite get the view that 'I don't like the categories, I want everything displayed in one page, from top to bottom'.

I don't want to have to scroll through 10 topics on what you ate for breakfast, how Labour are doing in the poll in Weston Super-Mare or if people prefer Vindaloo or Jalfrezzi.

PoN is split, so you can find what you want to view, so much more tidy/user friendly! If you still want the long list, it is viewable on here aswell.
