Why your username?

I just searched, couldn't find anything on this but if it has been already done then I apologise.

Why your username?

Some will be self explanatory but what is behind yours?

I think we had one aaaages back but we've had a heap of new users, so why not?

I used to be Dangerous Pie (habit of walking into things, pie is self-explanatory) until one day I couldn't log in any more. By that time I had moved to Germany, so I replaced pie (they don't do pies in Germany) with sausage (they do however love a good sausage).

Why, what did you think? B)

we did, but no harm in doing it again.

mine sounds like aa introduction. my names liam and im a pie.

I have always said "Up the Pies" instead of come on you pies.

When I joined PON I kept my username the same as I used previously which had to be this.

Mines not so obvious, I'm simply not Joe but Notts-Joe.

It's my online persona from a nickname I've had for years, it surprises some and confuses others who know me but it's not done to hide myself or fool people.

Mines pretty self explanatory, when I joined PON Stan was my favourite player, I had a different username 'over there' but I felt like it didn't represent me anymore as it was an old nickname from when I was a youngster

One of my sons, Ben, was Notts crazy growing up.....we both read MAD but he wanted to post on there (I wasn't too bothered, plus too busy)

I set up an account for him and used his nickname from his Private School (he was the last of 7 English children and I was determined that at least one of them was educated privately)....it cost me an arm, and a leg but he promised to look after me in my senility...not long now!

They all had "silly" nicknames for each, Ben's was Tarquin.....but .he was given a straight red after only a few weeks, he was only 14 but made a silly joke about executing one particularly "lazy" player....as half-time entertainment to boost crowd attendances, it worked at Tyburn?

I wrote in to the MODs to explain he was only 14 and a good kid etc, they removed the ban...but Ben is stubborn, like me...and he never posted again.

Some years later, I went into exile in Mexico and fearing for my sanity as a single ex-pat in a Spanish-speaking country, revived the old Mad account in order to at least type English.

I became a regular poster there but got a ban after @Elite_pie and @andy6025 plus several other posters got banned one night, mine was for suggesting we all try PON instead    hahaha....they offered to reinstate but I'm stubborn like I said.

Now I'm here, tough luck guys-n-gals.

My username is one I just didn't give a lot of thought to when I chose it!  I first signed up to footy messageboards on the old Rivals site many years ago where I posted as Nuthall Pie.  When that site closed down I moved to MAD, but my previous name had already been taken.  My second passion after Notts is horse racing, and I was a member of the Elite Racing Club (see avatar).  I had combined the two interests registering as Elite Pie on lots of betting accounts etc, so I just carried it on without thinking.  Not the best idea, as many have taken it to mean that I think I am upper class!!!!  I was born on a council estate as the son of a coal miner and hate the whole 'class' thing.  I've used the name for so long now I just can't be bothered to change it.

I never listen to news broadcasts or read newspapers so my son considers that I would be better suited to living in medieval times. My given name is Michael but my London family called me Mickey.

Fairly mundane really.    (Looking forward to a thrashing by the mighty Oldham tonight).

Guess where I used to live? It is said by many locals that the only people who like Tucson were not born there.

I get homesick for Tucson sometimes cos it's in the middle of a desert, 300 days of sunshine a year.

Mine is my nickname, people call me 'thommo' so it sticks.

Yes, mines a boring nickname one, but not used it on any other sites, so can't be incriminated, I mean identified.
