Posted June 11, 20186 yr #1 So a few years ago the Notts Coutnty crest/logo was changed. Do you think they had the right to do so ? Or should they have left it alone.? Did you like it.?
June 11, 20186 yr #2 I absolutely hated it when it first got released, I remember refusing to use the logo on the old site (before PON was born) and it was only towards when it got scrapped that I did start coming around. The only things Notts County about it is the colour/magpies. Why add the purple or the castle? It just looks weird, thankfully Ray Trew reverted back to a much nicer badge.
June 11, 20186 yr #4 I always felt it was okay, it could have been much worse. The purple I didn't get myself either, the shape seems okay but it was not like anything we had previously. I think the yellow/gold would have helped improve it, as would a shield instead badge shape.
June 11, 20186 yr #6 Munto had the right to change the badge but it was a mistake, thankfully it didn't turn out as bad as it did for Cardiff when their chairman started changing everything!
June 11, 20186 yr #8 No, not right at all and it should not have been done. Thankfully we had better topics to discuss because otherwise more would have been vocal about that awful crap.
June 11, 20186 yr #9 The whole Munto thing was a marketing ploy, by changing the logo it made things seem more exciting but I do think they did a terrible job with the design. I'm not saying its the designers fault, it was probably created based on what Peter Trembling envisioned but its nowhere being good enough. Substandard is how I felt at the time.

Definitely agree with what you said mate .. I remember at the time thinking what the hell have they done ..!
June 11, 20186 yr #11 It looked nice on the clothes and products, it just seems very different but I don't think it was the right move to change it.

Exactly my thoughts.
June 12, 20186 yr #13 Horrid badge but as others have said you get used to it, I don't think it should have been changed because it served no purpose but they did.
June 12, 20186 yr #14 As you will see from my display picture, I liked the older badge and I was disappointed when the Munto one replaced it. The logo Notts currently uses and can be seen in the PON logo is fine but I would not have liked to see the original change.
June 12, 20186 yr #15 Same club just a different packaging at the time, these things always happen and I'm glad Alan Hardy didn't mess around with things like he purposed.
