the chinese player dongda he caught the eye of many fans yesterday, does anyone know if he took part in the rolls royce friendly and if hes a trialist or notts youth?

someone told me he was only 16 and he looks good for his age, very composed on the ball and eager to get forward.

I don't know about how he played but I have seen fans comment about how well he did. He sounds like a good prospect for the club.

People said to me he was from the youth team, I don't know - it's hard finding information on him but he looked very skilful on the ball. He's the type of player who will only get better with age and experience, he seemed quick and passed the ball nicely.

Only weakness for me was his shooting but as someone said to me it shows confidence.

Going forward he was our most attacking minded player in the first half, I would have given him the full game myself.

@BigBill hes a first year scholar i believe and i think someone with his talent should be placed into the first team. perhaps not every game but the occasional one, he should be a regular in the jpt tho.

He's got to start against Derby after that impressive performance against Basford, we will see if he has the ability to do a job in the league if Kevin does play him.

The lad needs to be played and encouraged, he will only get better with time.

I hope we get to see what Dongda He can do in the Derby friendly, it would show what he has about him more than the Basford match.

It would be good if the club gave the nod to more than a few youth team players.

Was at RR, and can't remember him playing, he ran by warming up and thought to myself  who is this, yes he looks a good prospect when seeing him play at Basford.

He looks a great prospect I spoke to him after the match yesterday such a great lad no arrogance, just an air of humbleness and his family are really nice people I think he will do well very well. I look forward to him being in the first team.

Hi LM, no because i was hoping he would get his chance, but KN went with Stead and Alessandra first half,  Hemmings and Campbell second half.

I hope Nolan gives him a chance to play against Leicester, how can he know if he's ready if he doesn't give the right players a chance? After the Basford game he deserved to start.

He should have played more against Leicester, his ability in taking on the players was a joy to watch. He really does look like a special type of player, so Nolan needs to do his best to get Dongda He into the first team setup.

I am not trying to be critical but he looked nervous coming on, his opening touches could have been down to this but I felt he grew in confidence after getting more time on the ball.

He looks a great prospect for the club.
