Good luck on Saturday against Stevenage Magpie fans.

I will be keeping a look out for your score, hopefully Saturday you bag your first league win and then things won't look so bad. There's a long way to go, keep fighting and stay positive.

Usually I would be pleased to see Stevenage but they have a couple of former magpie players and this usually leads to them scoring or playing well. I don't know what to expect but I hope to see a good result come from the game.

Allan Hardy has just said that 2 new players will be announced at 11:30 today (Friday) if they are the right positions (and fit to play) we’ll win 2 - 0

I wouldn't rush to start Ben Hall.

Elliott Ward and Shaun Brisley with the new guy will be fine. I hope we are more organised defending and attacking, this could be a good chance to get three points.

There's no need to rush Ben Hall into the squad with the new signings coming in, I hope they are available to start tomorrow.

It could be the positive lift we need.

I have some optimism restored by the signings, I am hoping Evina has a lot of pace and can defend.

I'm looking for that first league win and a positive atmosphere tomorrow.

The new signs should offer something useful at the back and I think the other departments should be more than fine now. 2-1 Notts.

Dennis and Vaughan to score.

notts manger harry kewell has given his thoughts on the upcoming game.

quite a good insight.

If Oxlade-Chamberlain can get his act together, Notts could have a lot of pace on the wings with the arrival of Evina.

This could leave Jones to be used as backup in the centre.

The squad doesn't need anymore additions unless a goalkeeper is available, I feel this set of players must start to work as a team and lift their own morale up. Tomorrow is looking more appealing now.

I'm hopeful Stevenage will underestimate us (rightfully so) and we'll see the results from a proper week of training with Kewell; that being play like Barca and ease to a 3-0 win!

However if recent form is anything to go by Stevenage will probably score a late winner and beat us 2-1. I can see it now; a hopeful ball into the box finds their striker in plenty of space unmarked and 6 yards out. His attempt is fumbled by Fitzsimons who drops it. Our defenders in a panic try to clear it but get in each others way and can only watch as the ball is scuffed into the back of the net.

I know we're only 7 games in, but we really need a positive result tomorrow!

It's a tall order to ask but nothing less than 3 points required from the game against Stevenage.

The players must perform for Kewell or he will have to drop the weaker ones.

I am just hoping for the first league win, something has to get a positive response from the Notts players.

We can't just keep buying a whole new squad until it works.

Posted

I don't know about anyone else but I hope to see a good turn around, if Notts don't fight with a new defence I will be worried.

Posted

And we are off at meadow lane .. come on lads the turn around starts here ..

Posted

Another chance as stead causes the Stevenage keeper to dive to his left

Posted

The defence starting to look shaky as fitzsimons comes for a routine catch and completely  misses

Posted

Another chance for the magpies and they force a corner

Posted

Notts have a penalty.. stead steps up to take it slots it home and County have the lead at the 23 minute mark

Posted

Fantastic run from enzio on the left and almost makes it 2-0

Posted

1-1 fitzsimons opts for the long kick which went straight to Stevenage they attacked to the left and score as fitzsimons was left helpless

Posted

That’s 2-1 enzio gets his second and county’s second

Posted

Our outfield players are doing well and putting a lot of effort in but Fitzsimons just stood there and put his hands up useless.
