January 30, 20196 yr #2 Past it and hasn't done anything for years to be honest. We needed a target man and I cannot see what CMS will bring on the pitch that Dennis and Hemmings don't already, unless one of them is going tomorrow. I'm assuming he has been brought in more as a "voice" in the dressing room.
January 30, 20196 yr #3 Agree with @Fozzy We tried to sign him in 2015 but went to Luton instead ......thankfully.... Would not be surprised if Stead moves to Bradford, as rumours persist that he is of interest. Will Dennis and Hemmings go if transfer fees are offered? I would have preferred a U23 striker with pace, fear we have signed a Ben Burgess mark II
January 30, 20196 yr #4 Give the lad a chance for gods sake. Nobody is going to us at the moment the state we are in so let's embrace him & hope
January 30, 20196 yr #5 Depends how we play him. If Stead stays and we continue to lump the ball up for him to lose it this lad won’t be much better than Hemmings or Dennis. He will however make his presence known. With him and O’Brien at least we might see some passion.
January 30, 20196 yr #6 When he's played against Notts I've never been impressed, he does work hard but the only positive thing right now that stands out is that he's very ugly to play against on the pitch. He's physical and will let others know there's no messing around, it could be a good thing. Alan Smith used to kinda bring this attitude to the pitch and it's infectious. I see it as a good experienced signing, if only someone to add more depth and experience to what seems like a team destined to be relegated. Adding some mettle, grit, power and league knowledge is quite a good thing. A much bigger signing that I expected, yet he needs to come in wanting to move mountains for us - so there is a fear with me that he could become just another standard player who turns up on match days. We'll have to wait and see, I hope for the best.
January 30, 20196 yr #7 Wycombe fan in peace here. Can't believe the negativity in the thread, he should be a great signing for you and is still plenty good enough for our squad in the top half of league one, we just have a silly amount of strikers and he wants to play every week. His goal scoring record isn't amazing on paper, but our team is very much built around Bayo a lot of the time so he's not the focal point, often he's been played out wide. He more than makes up for it with his work rate and intelligent runs, and when he does get a chance he usually takes it. He might not be as quick as he used to be, but his legs definitely haven't "gone". Good luck for the season.
January 30, 20196 yr #8 We can only wait and see but we've all been wanting signings so lets just see how he plays in our team.
January 30, 20196 yr #9 i think its a good signing but how he did previously does not matter, its how he plays and does for notts. i will judge him by that but im happy with the loan signing.
January 30, 20196 yr #10 I think this is good. Come on people, we have absolutely nothing to lose here, he's experienced, knows where the net is and he's a hard worker to boot. Plus a bit of competition could do Dennis a world of good. What's not to like?
January 30, 20196 yr #12 Cracking signing to say where we are in the league. Starting to get some hope back into me. It's not about quantity in the transfer window it's about quality and that exactly what we've brought in.
January 30, 20196 yr #13 Ardley has held out for different players so he must have some hope in that would be better than those originally offered to him.
January 30, 20196 yr #14 Pretty impressed, the club needs experience right now so it should be a good signing.

Messi could get announced and our depressed supporters would announce 'another one the wrong side of 30'.
January 31, 20196 yr #17 I think if one big player was announced, none of us would be that impressed at the moment because one player wouldnt make a huge difference to our gameplay.
February 1, 20196 yr #19 Experienced player, will most likely be similar to Jon Stead but with better legs so I think it should be a great signing.

February 3, 20196 yr #24 Looks like he had a decent debut then! We really could have done with him ourselves today as his younger version picked up an injury before half time. Actually hope he does keep you up, always a good away day up there, and I suspect we'll get a decent bonus fee if you stay up.
