FA Trophy Semi Final Draw

Harrogate vs Notts County

Halesowen vs Concord Rangers or Royston Town

It's the toughest of draws but the 2nd leg is at home.

Pleased, as I think we drawn the hardest of the 3. If Notts makes the final, I feel happier facing off against either of the other 2 teams.

It's a two legged game, which means Notts needs to be at their best to progress.

I think it's a good drawn, yes there's complaints about it being mid-week but for me it could be a good away day. Whoever we ended up with, I would have been happy - I don't think it's worth moaning about.

So, I'm more than happy.

Personally I see it the other way round. I'd have preferred weaker opposition in the semis, so we could have booked our place at Wembley without necessarily playing our strongest team. And then we'd probably have had good, strong opposition in the final. But it is what it is. Hopefully Harrogate will be sick of the sight of us by the end of the month! :D

Harrogate are nothing to fear, I think at our best they wouldn't even make us struggle.

If they gave Notts a game I am confident we can win one of the legs, then the other who knows but I feel we can progress into the final.

I would have preferred the first game to be at Meadow Lane, but I think Notts can progress if they play well. It won't be like Coventry in the League Two playoffs, win or lose they've given their all.

From my point of view (a Barrow fan) it's the best possible draw. Harrogate will have 2 hard games against Notts in the semi finals. They also only have 2 available Tuesday's left in March which means one of the 2 games postponed due to the Trophy semi finals will probably be played between the 2 semi final games. Their free dates are the 17th (when we already play Barnet) and the 24th;- so it's likely they will play either Notts, Notts, Notts or Notts, Barrow, Notts over the course of a week...

Well said @chipmunx.

Its the type of game I think wouldn't impact Notts in the league, but would give the club a chance to progress. I'm more than happy with it.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Notts tends to struggle against weaker teams though, I thought Aveley would have given us a run for our money. Harrogate aren’t special, and by time the final comes whoever makes it will have a weaker team on paper.

It’s a draw which gives Notts a chance to make some better revenue than the other two games and a chance to progress to the final, I will take that.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
