Your Influential Notts County Player

Growing up, I have seen Phil Turner lead the Magpies' - along with Ian Richardson, Neal Bishop to the current day under Michael Doyle.

I'm curious which player has been the most Influential?

What player made you take account of their ability, drive and leadership to the point you feel they're a representation of the football club itself. Which players throughout Notts County's history made you feel proud to be a fan of this fantastic club?

Mine is Phil Turner, all the good early memories I have is of him as a true inspiration to the side he played alongside.

What about you?

Jon Stead, he had played every game for Notts with a level of passion at times when it was most needed.

Don Masson because of his ability and brilliant passing, he was a true midfield general.

Alan Judge!

His ability always impressed me, he wasn't called the Irish Messi for nothing. When he left, I felt it was a sign that the club was going backwards. He's the type of player you have to build around or at least progress with.

Alan Judge. The guy could score from his own half if he wanted to. Scores worldies in his sleep. Ran the show in 2011/12 and single handedly kept our slim play off chances alive in 2012/13 under Keith play one up front in your own back garden Curle

I could name a few different players, but Mark Stallard is the one I will go with.

Excellent striker who did well for Notts.

Pedro or Don Masson both players I enjoyed watching play for Notts immensely.

lee hughes or mike edwards for me.

mike was at the club long before lee and i watched him when i first got into watching notts, so i will say him. sad day when the club lost him. :(

Jon Stead would be the player I would go for, I thought he wore the shirt with pride and gave 100%.

Don Masson!! He was a joy to watch and such an influential player for the club.

I'd have to go for Mike Edwards. As a player he's the only one in our recent history to rack up hundreds of appearances for us, I saw an old article a few days ago about him playing for something like 22 different managers at his time here. Mad! And he outlasted pretty much all of them!

The fact when he came back to us after his spell at Carlisle, more as a coach as he was in his late 30's - but then ended up playing anyway because he was still better than all our centre' halves were at that time tells you a lot.

Proper professional footballer, I don't think anyone has a bad word to say about the guy.

Jim O'Brien right now, I think he's proper class but Mark Stallard is one I also admired growing up.
