  1. So in Alan Hardys Christmas address and as reported on pride of Nottingham page the home game on the 12th January 2019 between Notts County and Cambridge at meadow lane will be a £2 game which means all adult tickets will be £2 for this game as Alan asks us fans to get behind the gaffer and the lads. Alan also spoke of his desire to see meadow lane full again and how he was proud of the £2 for Crewe which over 17.000 fans packed meadow lane. Alan has also discounted hospitality see the link for the full range of discounts.

  2. The other day I was looking at the league table .I know I’m a gluten for punishment, when I stumbled over the Cambridge logo and thought it’s a toilet seat. Am I the only one that sees a toilet seat when they look at it.?

  3. So tomorrow at home to Macclesfield am I alone in asking Santa for three points. In a must win for us magpies as we welcome fellow struggles and sol Campbell the former (90 minute man). I’m hoping the lads can deliver us three points as a late Christmas gift and some thing to cheer.

But more importantly Im sure we all want to beat Sol Campbell .. the man who took the money then left because he didn’t want to fight he wanted a easy payday . Well tomorrow I hope we beat them and show him .. we may have had sol .. but this guy wasn’t a soldier.. he wasn’t a magpie he wasn’t one of us .. around here we take care of our own ..

  4. So as Notts take on  Macclesfield on Boxing Day  what are score predictions be.?

  5. The latest Pride of Nottingham PONcast Extra: Preview is live folks!

Can Notts County make it two wins on the spin for Christmas?

In this week's preview @samwatto2008 and @Chris talk about Notts County's upcoming game away against Grimsby Town at Blundell Park.

They also reflect on the opposition and how tomorrow's game might unfold.

In addition, how Neil Ardley could continue from the win against Tranmere Rovers. We also speak about how Ardley could use his tactics to take on his second game away.

All this and more only in the PONcast Extra: Grimsby Town Preview.

Don't forget to have you say below and on the upcoming game - match discussion.

  6. In preparation I thought I would just get everybody's opinion about the upcoming Macclesfield game but I think this is the biggest game of the year by far. Forget the Mansfield game we are in a relegation dogfight and we have to get three points at home. We beat them away from home but this is our 6 pointer.

Macclesfield have picked up some recent form under Sol Campbell and it's worrying me. If we don't create a gap between us and Macc then we could get left behind. A few teams above us still within reaching distance, the likes of Yeovil, Cambridge, Cheltenham.

If we don't pick up 3 points we could consider ourselves down.

  7. So it's December which means Christmas is just around the corner and for the month of December we can watch films and songs for Christmas or so we told.

Whats your Favourite Christmas song and film is my question.?

  9. So the next game for Neal Ardleys Black and white army is at home at Meadow Lane against Macclesfield on Boxing Day.

Who’s going to watch this one .?

  10. what do you think?

hes started off well and i can see him being poached if the form continues, i would hope that hes not foolish because he could learn a lot from macclesfield. i still expect it to turn but i think the early signs shows promising results.

I felt frustrated but I don't know why fans left around the 70th minute mark, it seems pointless even to attend.

The goals were absolutely farcical - Fitz getting beaten in the air, the corner where two of their players were left in acres of space to nod in, the fourth when Jamie Turley just stood and watched. Really embarrassing stuff.

I'm not usually inclined towards demanding that the chairman gets his cheque book out, especially as the back four that was good enough to get us in the play-offs is still at the club. But right now it would be a massive risk to just rely on them. We are on course to concede 98 league goals this season. That would be a club record!

If the new manager doesn't get the defence sorted, we will go down.

    4. allardyces tash

It was a nightmare from start to finish, it was almost like Grimsby had watched footage of all our goals conceded and stuck to a game plan that made us woeful at the back.

  12. Guys and girls  can you help me welcome @New2Notts to Pon.

Welcome to Pon great to have you with us.

  13. So I know at the first glance another 4-0 losss don’t look good but like I always ask we can find any positives from the game to take to the next game.

  15. So the new gaffer has given a interview with the evening post saying he is relaxed about the January transfer window.

During the interview he said that “Notts have good players here” he also said that “when i went in to Wimbledon I had to get the January transfers correct”

With Neal feeling that “things are not desperate here and things may have to be moved round to achieve clarity in how we play.”

A very posive interview with gaffer about the transfers in my opinion.

Whats your thoughts guys and girls.

The full interview is in the link below

  20. I just wanted to ask what people’s views or thoughts on the checkatrade trophy and the competition as a whole.?

  21. Just something to spark a discussion. I want to know if anyone bets on the football on weekends and if so who do you bet with? I also want to know if you agree with betting companies sponsoring football teams like us with Ladbrokes a few years ago or if you're completely against it. If so why?

For anyone interested I bet with SkyBet but have accounts with Betfair and PaddyPower. I bet every weekend because I think it enhances the football fun on a weekend. It has it's ups and downs and you always have to remember the saying 'There is never a poor bookie'. However I think it's fun and if you're just betting what you can afford to lose then it can become quite fun and exhilarating when you finally land a big winner.

I also agree with betting sponsorship. It's been apart of football for decades and I don't think having SkyBet on the front of a shirt would make me want to bet with them. It's kind of hypocritical if anyone disproves of this because we play in a league called SkyBet League Two. I do see both sides to the story but their is plenty of other sponsors that could cause controversy. I for one also agree with alcohol sponsors. Maybe an alternative sponsor for U18's shirts would be ideal just like Notts did a few seasons ago.

I don't think it promotes the product all that much to be honest. Man Utd's sponsor is Chevrolet but seeing their shirt won't make me go out and buy a Chevvy. I suppose it's different opinions and ideas but it will be interesting to hear feedback and to see if people bet and how often?

    Let me know.

  22. Can every one join me in welcoming our newest member @Trish Riley to Pon.

Welcome to Pon trish hope you enjoy your time with us.
