It's a brilliant idea, Lifeline has done some incredible work over the last few seasons and the scheme has assisted with making it easier for the new owners.
However, early season ticket purchases ended up being shafted last season.
The same thing happened this year, those who purchased early despite the uncertainty haven't been given any reward for their loyalty. Whilst the club yet again offered the cheaper prices for longer because naturally they struggled to convince people to come on board [Hardy, would there be a club?].
Where's the faith show to these? I understand the focus of Lifeline, it's deserved but the club forgets about those who are at the root of this club.

Final league position predictions?
I predict 6th on the current form.
Quote
We have completed the signing of goalkeeper Joe McDonnell on a deal until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old was most recently at AFC Wimbledon, where he worked with Neal Ardley and Neil Cox, and his arrival has paved the way for Ross Fitzsimons to return to Chesterfield on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Cox said: “We had a very amicable chat with Ross this morning and he’s decided to move on.
“While we wanted Ross to stay and provide competition for our goalkeeping spot, the manager can’t guarantee anyone a starting role in the team.
“Ross wants to play as many games as he can and he feels Chesterfield will be the best place for him to do that. We wish him well.”
Slocombe out 'for the foreseeable future' is vague one. If Fitz was here, surely he'd be pencilled in for that number 1 slot, like he was on Saturday. Maybe the manager really doesn't rate him and rates this new lad higher? Who knows.

There wasnt alot of rain here though so im guessing fans werent happy coz some would assume the weather wouldnt of been much different there. Not good for the fans that had already travelled though, it should of been announced earlier.
I have tried to attend both this and the last time, I won't be going to the next arranged fixture.
I'm 14, using what money I have to get to the games.
My parents don't just pay for it, I am expected to contribute to the fuel with those that come with my dad especially if friends take turns driving to away games. Its not just annoying but wasteful, the officials should be the ones contributing to those who are willing to go. It's their fault in my eyes.
It’s a joke, they need to remove the sand if it’s such a problem.
So we have been drawn at home Vs Aveley FC.
They’ll be well up for this game and we need to treat them with respect and take the game seriously.

I am hoping the next game sees a large improvement, they wasn't at the races and the performance wasn't there at all. Very poor from the whole squad, but I still believe securing a playoff place is possible.
Issue is balancing the poor performances with good ones.
Fans will continue to travel away and home regardless of the score.
Notts made it easy for Hartlepool, who did play better for the most part but I think it would have been different if more players had turned up properly.

I don't believe it as common as we are seeing now, a few years back, you started seeing it in international competitions or friendlies. Now it seems like its spread everywhere! There is no room for bigotry behaviour in football. To some degree, I accept it at times on the streets but inside major sports complexes I DO NOT.
Younger and middle-age fans seem to think it's a laugh, which it is not.
You see this happening far less in other sports, why all of a sudden is it becoming acceptable again in football?

McDonnell 3 - Made some important saves in the first half but should have done better for both goals
Brindley 2 - The bloke simply could not be bothered
Rawlinson 5 - The poor guy had to make a run down the wing to try and get us going forward
Long 5 - Looked nervous at first. Was fine with the ball at his feet. A tough introduction
Kelly-Evans 4 - Tried but looked uncomfortable
Roberts 4 - Tried to get us going but couldn't
Rose 2 - Just drop him please. Offers nothing
Doyle 3 - Couldn't pass a ball today
Boldewijn 4 - No real opening for him
Dennis 4 - Not really in the game before being subbed
Wootton 5 - Tried to bring others into play and battled away without nothing coming off
O'Brien 4 - Offered nothing when he came on
Crawford & Osborne N/A - Not enough time to warrant a rating

As the title says - can any of recommend a good, free anti-virus program for a PC?
I've been using Avira for quite a long time and have tolerated the adverts it fires at me. But I finally ran out of patience when it told me I had 700 MB of unnecessary files on my computer - but if I wanted to delete more than 100 MB then it would cost me.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Strange one really. We have Bird? Would be frustrating to see another teams' unproven youngster played over our own youngster who has proven he can at least hold his own in this league.

According to the information csakfoci.hu Bálint Bajner continue his career in the Dutch second-line stakeholders (Eerste Divisie) Excelsior football team.
We know the 28-year-old has also played a test game with former Dutchman Ricardo Moniz, coached by former Ferenc City trainer, where he has already made the playoffs against Den Bosch (4-1). Standing as a replacement for the 197 cm tall striker, he played the entire second half, convincing management and professional staff with his performance.
ACCORDING TO OUR INFORMATION, EXCELSIOR AND FOOTBALL HAVE AGREED ON EVERYTHING AND CAN ANNOUNCE THE PLAYER'S CONTRACT WITHIN DAYS. (...never happened)
Bajner most recently strengthened the Borussia Dortmund reserve team in the 2017/2018 season - scoring 10 goals and five assists in 62 steals - before that at Modena, Paks, Ipswich and Notts County, where his future coach, Ricardo Mon also played. Prior to the detour in England, the stations were Sulmona Calcio, Budapest Honvéd, Romanian Liberty Oradea, and Sopron.

Ex Notts forward Justin Fashanu, is to be inducted into the footballing Hall of Fame.
He played for us from 1982-85.
He was a gentleman and an excellent forward. Great movement and skill.
Sadly, committed suicide in 1998. He took his own life after struggling to balance the fame of being the first openly gay footballer and his life after the game.
He should be remembered as the First Black Million pound player. Signed for those over the river, where he struggled with his relationship with Clough.
He ended up at the Lane and even though we were relegated a couple of times, he still shone through as a good player.
After he left football, he moved to America and it was there that he got tangled in an assault charge which he denied, but he couldn’t cope with the suspicion. He fled back to the UK and was unfortunately found dead after he hung himself. Even in the note he left he still denied the charges.
His case was famous for a couple of reasons. Firstly the way he came out. Relevant because for the last few days people have been discussing the role of trash newspapers such as the Scum. Caroline Flack, took her own life and the paper contributed to their stress she finally gave into.
When the paper paid Fash for the interview, they, as they always do, sensationalised his coming out and it ultimately left him a broken man. His brother, John Fashanu, known for his Wimbledon antics, ostracised his brother because of his sexual pretences and spoke badly of him on a regular basis.
Secondly, as the first openly gay footballer. Headlines may change, but we are still at the stage where it is so difficult for a player to live his life as he chooses and coming out in football is unheard of. The world has moved in a lot in the past 40 years, but in the same breath, it has hardly moved on at all.
A lovely guy who I met quite a few times as he was a friend of the family. Caring, generous and just a nice guy. But he struggled to be accepted for who he was in a closed culture of football.
He should be remembered for the goals he scored and the fact he was sold for a million pounds ( which back then was an unthinkable amount! ) not the tragic end to his life.

It's a good chance for Kristian Dennis to showcase more of what he can do when he starts, but will this force Neal Ardley's hands with regards to bring back Nathan Tyson or looking elsewhere?
He has spoken about looking in the loan market.

Anyone got plans for this week?
I know a lot of older members might not have much to say, but I would assume it changes things for parents and even grandparents that might see their children more or have fun activities lined up.

I'll kick it off.
The 4th ref holding up the one sided board.
On nine times out of ten, he forgets to turn it towards the Pavis stand. Why not have a double sided one like in the league?!?!

Not really new as such. More of a revisit to an old friend!
Hope all is well here on PoN and everyone is enjoying, what is now, an excellent resource for Notts fans.
I hope to drop in a little more in the future to add my voice to the conversations.
Site is looking good and forum seems to be ticking along nicely so praise goes to all of you. The team behind PoN at the moment and the regulars who drop in daily, and also to the not so regulars who still make valuable contributions.
Best wishes one and all.
