Collin 6.5 – not a lot to do, but did it competently.Β  No blame attached for their goal.

Tootle 7 – calm and composed, defended well.

Audel 7.5 – another good performance, puts his body on the line and plays as if it matters.

Duffy 7 – solid throughout, Duffy is a far better player than he has looked most of the season.

Hollis 7 – surprised to see him at left back, but did a pretty good job.

Thompson 7.5 – very competitive, some touches of class, shame about the deserved red card.

O’Connor 8* - led from the front, won countless challenges, an inspirational performance.

Milsom 7 – nothing spectacular, but gave us a real presence in midfield, a vital part of the team.

Campbell 7 – very hard-working, covered a lot of ground and did a great job of stopping them playing.

Forte 7 – got into some great positions, maybe didn’t make the most of them but a danger throughout.

Stead 6 – can’t fault his effort, but his touch was poor and he offered little threat.

Β

Fantastic feeling to walk out of the ground after getting 3 points again, fully deserved through a real team effort especially winning it with 10 men.Β  The effort and application was 100%, but this is the standard we need to attain every week.Β  Full marks to Alan Hardy and Kevin Nolan for one small step forwards, this game should be one we look back on as the turning point in our season, let’s hope it is.

Magpies,

Congrats on the win today - written up some thoughts on the game: http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2017/notts-county-2-1-crawley-four-things-we-learnt/

Team deserves credit for their performance today, sensed the players were working for one another. Had setbacks like the sending off of Thompson, who I'd have said was your best player at that point, and their equalizer out of nowhere, yet performance level didn't drop.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Saturday's Fixtures:
Preston North End v Ipswich Town
Rotherham United v Barnsley
Fleetwood Town v Southend United
Northampton Town v Coventry City

So then - who was your man of the match today for Notts against Crawley and why?

Anyone here who needs cigarettes for lower price?

I'm Β coming on match against Accrington StanleyΒ

Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Partizan-Notts County.

I'm aware of the connection between Partizan and Notts, a couple of my friends on Facebook are Partizan fans. However, I would be interested to learn a little more about yourself - care to tell us a little bit about your background of supporting both clubs?

Until then welcome to the community. We'll see you around!

Does anyone know if kids are allowed?

Alan hardy did his usual Friday QnA on the notts twitter and we are out of the embargo!

Bbcrns , KN , maybe Carlton Cole to NOTTS , what do you think people ? More news maybe on embargo in next 48/72 hours .

Anyone still following this car crash of a competition?

Hello All,

Need some help. Just moved into a new place, but I've been advised by the boss/wife that my Notts County flag isn't 'classy' (whatever that means) enough for the living room, and has been re-located to the spare room.Β

So, what I need is a framed photo, print, piece of art work etc... related to Notts. I've had a look at Notts shop but nothing suiting...

Any suggestions from the PoN community???

It looks like your previous owners have left you without a paddle, yet I hope you aren't left up on the creek without a fighting chance of survival.

Despite my clubs turn around in recent years, we Owls understand what relegation is like and although we have not fallen into the fourth division. We have battled to be where we are now and hopefully you can. Notts is a grand away day, one the best irrespective of whatever league you play and your history is greater than the neighbours you share your city with (just like us ) but in all fairness to you, Notts are better than this, your fans deserve better and for this reason I hope you avoid the drop.

Good luck to Nolan and his merry men of fans!

It might be churlish to laughΒ at others while sitting 91st in the League, but I just can't help it.

What F*rest definitely need now is Gary Brazil! :D

Gary Brazil in charge of Forest for Wednesday's game at Leeds, and says he'd do the job on a longer term basis, if asked...

"I've been here for 5 years, I love the football club, and I'll do whatever the club ask me to do"

Brazil also refutes newspaper reports that defender Matt Mills is out for two months

One of my 2016 Christmas presents was a 4 disc special featuring music that is considered to be life changing.

This got me thinking about what other PON members like music wise and if they could name any music, bands, or songs that felt life changing when they first heard it/them. There is no surprise for me that David Bowie features more than six times within the collection of mostly classic songs. "Changes" for me was empowering and I still recall the first time that I heard it.

I'm currently trying to search for information based on the restriction we are under due to the embargo, it's obvious that we would be able to bring them in - however are we also unable to extend loan deals beyond the original period due to this?

I would have kept Collins and Laing personally.

Yet we have seen Oliver also depart (someone whom I'm not that bothered about). It makes me curious, as I would have felt we would extend at least Collins because of the limitations from the embargo. If we can't extend loans, I really wonder how we can move forward in terms of getting the quality in to make a huge difference. Otherwise it may be a battle to survive.

Does anyone know? Thoughts?

I am contemplating taking a vacation or returning back to the UK for a short break. I do a lot of travelling, a heck of a lot but I think I should put my feet up a bit now. So I am curious as to where you lot go, where you would recommend.

How many times do you go a way each year? Where do you go?

I've just been speaking to a journalist who praised how 'united' we (Pride of Nottingham) appears to be, some interesting points was raised on how rivalry can be bitter and that in sport like football there isn't so much amnesty. This isn't quite the case, however as a community we do rise above the political stance and to a degree the pettiness that can be shown - yet outside it's not quite all that.

As most will be aware we helped pay respect to a fan who is sadly no longer with us, this drawn support from Grimsby fans who were simply amazing.

My question is: How do you feel about rivalry (even involving the same supporters base), do you feel football is naturally competitive? Also, how has things changed in recent years? Very curious to know and your views may help the said journalist finish his piece so be sure to join in (pretty please).

He even catches the guy in the middle by the arse at one stage! Poor old Alan Stubbs got so confused that he mixed 6 and 9 up.......

welcome to pon @Ncfcnick1982,

hope to see you joining in with discussions when you get chance, enjoy pon and be a part of the community here. :)

So the FA has published the written decision on John Sheridan's disciplinary hearing from his outburst against Eddie Ilderton in the game against Wycombe Wanderers a month ago.

All I can say is, blimey. Now, I know I'm a bit of a potty mouth (ask Notts Joe), but I didn't think it was even possible to cram so many naughty words in one sentence.

Read for yourselves!

What begun as a mismatch as men v boys, Notts can take credit that they nearly drew the game, which would have deserved.

Stand out players were Wildin and Dominic Brown Hill. If there is a problem with our youth team, it is the lack of physicality in the side, which was exposed by Romulus in the FA Youth Cup.
