  1. Saturday's Fixtures:
Bolton Wanderers v Milton Keynes Dons
    Middlesbrough v Nottingham Forest
    Oldham Athletic v Bury
    Southend United v Coventry City
    Bristol Rovers v Plymouth Argyle
    Portsmouth v Oxford United

  2. The following reserve fixtures in the Final Third Development League will be played at Meadow Lane this month:

    12th v Doncaster Rovers (2pm)

    19th v Scunthorpe United (2pm)

    26th v Hartlepool United (2pm)

Prices are £3 Adults, £1 concessions.  I have fond memories of attending reserve games in the old North Midlands League way back in the 70s and seeing players like Pedro and Benji graduate to the first team, so I'll try and give these a go.

  3. Hi Notts County fans,

I am posting to announce the launch of GetToTheMatch.com, our completely FREE to use website service to help supporters save money on following your team. It is a site built by real fans, for real fans, so I hope you like it and find it useful. Please feel free to spread the word as the more people who use it, the more options supporter will have. Here is our press release..

SLASH THE COST OF FOLLOWING YOUR TEAM!

GetToTheMatch.com is a completely FREE new service for Football, Rugby Union & Rugby League supporters to arrange matchday travel share with fellow fans to all of their favourite teams’ home and away matches.

Whether it’s spare seats on a coach, a couple of empty spaces in a car, or you want to split the cost of a taxi to the match with someone from your area, you just select your team, choose which fixture you would like to attend and place a listing for other members to respond to.

There are no sign-up fees, no introduction costs and no commission payments – you simply offer or request seats that are empty, make your arrangements, get to the match and save money, reduce traffic congestion and help the environment. Local business sponsorship enables this service to be completely free for all supporters.

Member profiles tell you what other supporters prefer on their match day and feedback tells you about past travel share experiences with each user. There are ground guides providing information for visiting supporters, where members can leave feedback on places to eat, drink, park, visit and stay near each stadium.

  4. This is something I've been doing for years, but it seems to cause controversy with many.  Some say it's disloyal and shows you're not a true supporter, but I don't understand why.  It has no influence whatsoever on the match result however much is staked.  I pretty much paid for my season ticket backing the opposition in McParland's full season.  I could see we were an awful team so I took advantage of some very generous odds.  That didn't mean I wanted to see Notts lose.  I only bet modest stakes, usually a fiver of tenner, and 3 points gives me much more pleasure than a few quid in my bank account.  Does anyone on here who has a footy bet ever bet against Notts?

  5. Ray,

I'll make sure a team in stripes wins to nil at ML every game....

  6. We've shared some nice milestones together as a set of fans, This includes our first 1k of posts, the first member of the month (also the one's which follow) each members who break a milestone in their own post count. The first time one of our articles reached 10 facebook likes, first 100 likes on our facebook page and many more which I may not of mentioned. Each one is very important to a growing community, I have to admit I do get easily excited about these things but it's for good reasons.

Today, we reached one I am very, Very PROUD about.

Pride of Nottingham now ranks no.1 on google if you was to search 'Pride of Nottingham' using the search engine. This for myself, well I'm delighted. I stupidly ran down stairs, called my parents and scooped poor Jake and Ava up and started singing 'We're number one'. Stupid for the reason it's a tad bit of weight for my knee! LOL

I'm also happy for the reason when Tony first appeared and then briefly disappeared, he came back mentioning searching for us and this has always stuck with me. I'm happy to say if any of our dear friends searched, you shouldn't be scared by what you find at no. 1!!

Thank you very much! GREAT COMMUNITY EFFORT.
    Joe

  7. Just out off interest our do members off this site travel to away games? do you use official travel  or none official

  9. You wanted a new manager, now you've got one, some people are never happy.

  10. if you did not support notts how would you be spending your time?

i had a short bike ride earlier around the clifton area, when i got back my mum asked me to help out with some things around the house. during that my mum asked about notts (she still thinks moniz is the manager) when i mentioned that he gone and had been replaced by fullarton, i was asked what the problem with that was. i guess i did not sound confident still but i mentioned the habit of sacking our manager, to which she replied "what would you do without notts?".

    that got me thinking.

  11. Unbelievable as it may be apparently we may be going to sign a young striker from Chelsea on loan Tammy Abrahams.

Why the heck do we need a striker? Answers on a postcard.

    Here is his profile:

  12. Sad to see it but Bolton look set to go out of business they have a winding up petition against them for unpaid taxes of 600,000 but also owe 172.9 Million I can't see any club raising that amount of funds in the football league

  13. The first heading under "community"......everything on one page, all the latest news, latest topics, who has replied, number of views, who is online, which forum comments I posted on.....even a "hello Tarkers" message......stop shouting, I have a headache!!

Perfect for peeps like me that cannot even remember where I left the sheep, let alone what messages I typed in a drunken stupor the night before!!

Now I can wake up in the morning, stumble to the coffee machine (luckily it never moves....unless Miriam has had a fit of "let's clean up in here"...grrrrr))....stumble back to the bed, snuggle under the covers.....open PON Dashboard and voila, everything on one page..............perfect start to the morning.

ps If you guys find anything that I typed offensive or downright bonkers, then obviously the same burglars that drank all my beer.....have clearly hacked into my computer and stolen my PON login identity!!

  14. Good stuff from Valencic on match talk, showing a sense of humour while using a foreign lanquage!

  15. David Haye made his fighting comeback tonight against Mark de Mori belive what a good fight it was haue has packed on a few pounds mainly muscle.

But the bloke looks good again fast sharp powerful quick combos looks like he could be back to his best great time for English boxing right now

  16. Crawley won 7 of their last 8 at home, and we've won 1 away all season yet were 5-4 favourites and Creepy are 21-10, Do they know something we don't ?

  17. Welcome to PoN @Piethagoram.Now there's an interesting user name, perhaps you'd care to explain.Looking forward to your posting.

  18. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Robin west.

Hope you enjoy what you see and find time to join in with us when time permits. For now, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself such as how long you have been a fan and just some general information?

See you around our community. You Pies!

  19. i have just re read the article @notts-joe wrote about what he expects and what fullarton needs to do in order to achieve success at notts. its made me think, it raises some very valid points and so i am going to ask the community.

what tasks does fullarton need to do from here?
what players can we afford to let go, so that we trim down the squad?
which out of favour players deserve more of a chance to see what they can do?
and do you want to see jame assisted by someone who can influence and help him?

  20. I had not realised that I had been off for a month, christmas and the start of the new year is a busy time for me. Anywho, I am back and I am pleased to see some new posters. In 11 days time I will have been a member for a year! How time flies.

Does anyone want to fill me in with whats been happening at Notts? Or should I not ask??

  21. Welcome to Pride of Nottingham @Fozzy let us know what you think about what's happening at Notts.
