Mr Hardy's decision to freeze the ticket price at Β£20 got me thinking about how much it costs to watch football in League 2. I found the below. As you can see, Notts are near the top in most categories. So a match ticket, programme, tea and a pie will cost you Β£27.60, that's a lot of money for most people. It's only 60p cheaper at Mansfield for example. There isn't a whole lot of difference between the clubs so let's call it an average of Β£25. It seems to me that season tickets are the way to go, in that you seem to save money. Programme, tea and pie will cost you Β£174.80 for 23 home games. 23 games at Β£20 will cost you Β£460. Dearest season ticket is Β£410 but that's based on RT's prices so you'd imagine it will be less under Mr. Hardy's price schedule. Throw in a small reduction on the programme and food and it's even better value.Β

Please note that maths isn't my strong point, so any corrections to the above would be appreciated.Β
From the OS: http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/notts-county-six-pack-3524688.aspx
Notts County have launched their Six Pack ticket bundle, allowing supporters to save money while backing the Magpies at Meadow Lane.
Fans can build their own Six Pack by choosing which six of Notts' next seven home matches they would like to attend.
Chairman and owner Alan Hardy said: βFollowing the success of our Mansfield ticketing initiatives I am delighted to present fans with a longer-term option which will save them money and secure their backing for this crucial stage of the season.
βIt hasnβt been an easy campaign for our fans but despite that their support has been unwavering.
βThis is our way of saying βthank youβ for that support, which Iβm confident will spur Kevin and the team on to a successful end to the season."
I personally think this is a great idea, fans who haven't got season tickets for whatever reason will be able to save a fair bit and support their team now that things are a little more stable.
Anyone thinking of taking Notts up on their offer?
Hi Guys,
I am a student currently studying Marketing Management in my final year and am required to conduct primary-research for my dissertation. My dissertation is looking in to perceptions on controversial shirt sponsorships in football from various perspectives. As part of the research it would be helpful to get responses from fans from various locations throughout the UK with various clubs which will allow me to compare results.Β It would be greatly appreciated if you could take the time to complete the questionnaire which should take around 7 minutes to complete. Thank you for taking the time to help me, good luck for the rest of the season!

Kevin Nolan reckons we have the players to get us out of this mess, can he get the best out of these dedbeats. He also said the same players was only a couple of points away from 3rd place. Lets see how they react tomorrow.

I noticed Ronan Murray shared this video, he wrote:
Which pundit do you agree with? What do you think on the matter?
Interesting subject, personally I feel footballers are using excuses to force moves but sometimes its best to just let them go. There is little loyalty yes, however you can't stereotype everything. At the end of the day I can understand someone wanting to earn more money would want to leave a club, yet to fake an injury is totally wrong.
For Payet, I think he's acting like a spoilt child and he's been one of West Ham's major issues this season.
Though I don't understand why anyone would hold a grudge on a player wanting to better themselves, wanting to earn their family more money or to win trophies. Sometimes the vibe around the club is enough, yet without allowing for the free movement of players to leave I feel this only makes the subject point all that much bigger.

We're in bottom two after playing a game more than most around us, however with things falling into place and a changes from top to bottom, my question to you guys is: are you worried?Β

Firstly the best defensive performance of the season I've seen so far. back 4 looked more of a unit and the midfield actually did some defending for once... It did lack creativity but that wasn't crucial today, the clean sheet was.
Β
Collin 6 - good saves but wobbly at times
Tootle 7 - reasonably solid
Duffy 6 - looked much better in a flat back 4 and with Audel next to him.
Audel 6 - Solid for once
Dickinson 5 - not much good going forward but steady enough at the back
Milsom 6 - Defended better than usual - held the shape
O'Connor 6 - Held the midfield together well
Thompson 7 - MOM for me. Energy in midfield is what we've been sadly lacking.
Campbell 5 - Game passed him by too much - I would have liked to see him play wider.
Forte 4 - Never really got into the game, and almost gifted them a goal
Stead - 6 Battled hard, still not fully fit and the service to him wasn't great
Β
Mansfield
Kristyan Pearce - 8 Outstanding
Arquin 5 - did a lot of good work but what a sitter he missed!!!

Game 26 - The Stags (H)

Where: Meadow Lane
What line-up should Notts opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

I'm very encouraged. You can't overstate the importance of tightening up at the back. Keep a clean sheet and you've got a point at least.

Alan has stuck to his word when it comes to announcements so far correct?
Makes you think he is a good judge of character or knows things are already in the process of being tied. @Super_Danny_AllsoppΒ will know what I mean regarding the previous regime jumping the gun.

I think at some point, AH will make the same mistake as the previous regime in jumping the gun. However, I think, and hope, that AH will learn from the mistake and not repeat it, which can't be said of previous regimes.Β
Community spirit goes along way, just look at the effect in recent weeks - Alan Hardy's revolution has really driven back the much needed optimism, whereas it was all doom and gloom prior to that (for valid reasons).

Evening all,
If you exclude the new owner, newΒ manager, record breaking run of consecutive defeats and almost going bust - not a lot happened at Meadow Lane this last month:

It was because the Trews had stripped NCFC of its supporting structures (youth teams, a proper board, decent scouting system, etc) that John Sheridan never really stood a chance. Now watch him take the beast by the throat and turn Oldham round.
In the light of which, full marks to AH for recognising that building a new framework needed to be high up the agenda. But at the very top of that agenda must be selecting the right manager. I just can't help feeling that, given the possibilities of someone like Mark Robins or even Justin Edinburgh, it was a mistake to take a punt atΒ an untried candidate. Hoping that Nolan's combative reputation onΒ the field of play will turn him into a feisty successful manager is a bit of a desperate gamble. What will AH do ifΒ Nolan's first 6 games yield less than 6 points? Notts need to win 10 of their remaining games to be safe and secure. Β Β
Number 2 on the agenda was bringing in new blood. Instead of which, AH is banking on Nolan vastly improving the present stock. It won't happen. They are bankrupt. Their confidence is in shreds. I'm sure they've been shouted at, had an arm round their collective shoulder, been tactic talked to death. Mansfield will decimate the stock so AH had better get that embargo lifted yesterday or Notts are dead ducks.Β

So Alan Hardy's officially the new owner of Notts County, Kevin Nolan is the manager, and all seems well once again at Meadow Lane.
At his press conference, Hardy discussed plenty of things about his arrival including his vision for Notts, the training, the scouting and so on.
It's all (well, the key points) here:
So what do you think of what he's told the press?

As the title says the Forest takeover has fallen through, I really hope they do find a buyer as I want to be playing them in a couple of years.
We've been where they are too many times in the past and its not a good place to be, most of there fans helped us out when we desperatelyΒ needed it a few years ago and I'd like to think that we would do the same if their situation needed it.
One big plus for us though, looking around on the various social media platforms it seems that a lot of their fans are coming down to the lane today and possibly in future as they would rather give us their money than Fawaz.

So, with John Sheridan the latest managerial casualty of the Notts County killing machine, who should come in to take up the poisoned chalice?
Best case scenario names include Steve Cotterill and Martin Allen, while the bookies are listing the likes of Gary McAllister, Neil Redfearn, Kenny Jackett and Nigel Adkins.
Who do you think should step up to the plate?

We have appointed Debbie Irving as academy secretary, she was at Forest for years and is an extremely positive step forward for our academy, regarded by many in the game as the best at what she does, hopefully the first of many positive steps going to happen today

Although A.H has said the sale would still go through, probably by the weekend, I won't rest until its signed sealed and delivered, what else can hold it up.

1. Replacement of Sheridan? Controversial to some, but current losing run with little sign of defensive improvement, maybe a move for Rowett worthy of consideration.
2. Total revamp of scouting. Both for identifying players, and technical analysis of oppositionΒ
3. A footballing philosophyΒ
4. Serious questioning of squads capabilities. Need to ship players out.
5. Boosting crowd initiatives. Experimental lowering prices.Β
6. Return of the Bench initiativeΒ
7. Revamp of Media depts output. Too subdued recently, makes Benedict's input worthy
8. Need to clean seats more regularlyΒ
9 Transparency with Supporters so that surprises of Winding Up orders are a thing of the past
10. Redecorating facilities and new facade of Family Stand

The takeover seemed to be a never ending story, where leads stopped dead in their tracks but there was no lack of rumours.
More believable rumours had emerged regarding the club's future.
I can only think we was heading for admin and possible further uncertainty but this has been avoided.
I ask youΒ does this situation reveal more about Ray?
