Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Joshua Murfet, I hope you enjoy being apart of the community here. The site takes time to become used to, however if you have any questions let me know.

You Pies!

I went to Leiceter - Newcastle last night to cheer on Leicester. What most refereshing was that every Newcastle fan we spoke to wanted Leicester to win the league, but will they?

They have got some quality to be sure, but not a vast amount. They play a simple defend and break fast system which suits the players they've got. They play for each other and for the manager, a real team.

But I thought they looked tired (probably mentally more than physically), and Newcastle, who weren't as bad as their league position would suggest, could easily have got a point if their players had the confidence to shoot.

The question I'm left with is - How many points do the Foxes need to pick up from their last 8 games?

24 points - 20 wins the league mathematically, but that needs Spurs to win 8 in a row. I guess 16 - 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats will be enough.

Come on Leicester - shove it up the so-called and self-styled big 5, and there lapdogs in the media!!

Thoughts?

I try to be objective but I am fuming that if rumours are correct, Stanley MUST stay. There is no vision or future with Jamie. The only vision is dire football and relegation

OK, Notts season is fizzling out into the equivalent of one of those "parties" that your mate invited you to when you were 15 years old......you were told to bring a 4-pack of Babycham and some Gold Label because half of Westwood Girls School was going to be there.......and these girls had a serious reputation........ruff ruff ruff!

You spend 2 hours gelling your hair, picking the sexiest tank-top and flared trouser combo you can find, and brush your teeth until the gums bleed.

You arrive with hormones running riot................only to discover half the rugby team and a dozen other panting, acne-covered males sipping Warninks Advocaat.......damn, life is cruel.

Welcome to a life of supporting Notts.....perpetual disappointment sprinkled with a touch of total desolation....suck it up Son, it's "character-building"......no it's not Dad, it's ****, and I hate you......why couldn't we live in Leicester?

Anyway, now I've vented my spleen......Competition Time.

Where will Notts finish....and how many points?

Not too difficult........only 11 games left (anyone choosing 74 points+ needs a serious Maths lesson....plus a course of little blue tablets!)

Me first.........21st and 46 points

Some serious prizes on offer............or possibly not, remember the moral of the above story.....perpetual disappointment is good for you!

Call me crazy or whatever you want I said it when we started slipping under moniz I said we would never make he play offs we would be relegated and we will be.

Winless in 6 now no goals at all a defence that is made up of pub players at best.

Holis is terrible Adams is not intrested Atkinson is far to young and inexperienced an it shows Curtis and milsom offer no goals between them far to defensive minded.

Adam Campbell is far to lightweight for this level the odd 3- goals here and there

Banton has flashes but not much else Murray isn't the same Carroll has been terrible.

The strikers miss more then ever lately and Jamie Fullarton is the icing on the cake a moron yes I said it again cause it's true and I stand by it

We will get hammerd by exter hammerd by Pompey hammerd by Wycombe and mansfailed will be the nail in the coffin as they do us 4-0

The trews may have had the clubs intrest at heart and yes they spent money and yes we should be grateful for it but how much has gone to payin off managers on 4 year deals that have never ever managed.

Also I hate to say it this could be the second club they have took out the football league the oldest club which is rich in history.

If I was them I'd sack this moron again repeat moron and save the history by getting anyone who has a brain about football and can pick us up at least2-3 wins.

Cause as it stands Fullarton win rate is now worse then kiwoyma who was a U21 coach and if we don't score this Saturday he matches Paul inches record of so many games without a goal and I reckon hel beat that.

He is by far the worse manager we have had his stats prove that so no one can call me crazy or have ago it's a damn fact.

So again il say it we will be relegated until he is removed make of it what you will

Notts fans, now ticket details have been released, we'd love a few of you to join our fundraising walk to Mansfield Town on April 16th.

We already have a good -sized group of willing walkers signed up and would be delighted if anyone else decided to join us in the 15 mile walk to the game. Hopefully it may be a good opportunity to challenge yourself without too much training.

Due to the early kick-off it's a lovely 6.30am departure with a scenic stroll up to Mansfield with a pub stop on the way. A breakfast cob and bus back are included in the £10 sign-up fee which also gets you a FITC t-shirt for the walk. This has kindly been sponsored by Nottingham Rotary Club. Tickets need to be purchased separately and are not included. We hope to arrive by 12pm in Mansfield and can de-camp in an area of the club.

You don't have to fundraise, it would just be great to have you involved but walking 15 miles is no mean feat so any sponsorship raised will go towards our mental-health projects for adults and young people in the local community.

Any questions please respond or email [email protected]
Regards, The Football in the Community Team.

Time to stretch your brains again!

Which clubs have played in all four divisons at some stage in their history?

where is Stanley he's not even been in the reserve games lately or the bench

Still trying to catch up on all things Notts.....and I notice that they have edited out all the Notts "action" from the Yeovil game?

This hardly seems fair.....have we upset the BBC?

Like the title suggests who is the best manager for our club.

For me it is quite simply

Martin Allen

Never before nor since have I felt as connected to the club as I did when he was in charge

Just hijacking @ivansneck 's thread :)

Since the formation of the Football League, which is the only Non-League team to win the FA Cup?

Just to cheer you up have a look at this. I was at the other end that day. Eighth final of the German Cup - Gladbach against Kaiserslautern 1993/4 at the Bokelberg. This footgae is from the start of the game. Joachim Stadler was Borussia's answer to Haydn Hollis. I still have nightmares about this. In the end Kaiserslautern won 3-2.

Jamie wants consistency, well nearly 400 minutes without a goal, he is certainly getting there!  Should we extend his contract before other clubs start tapping him up.

What do you think of this?

CdXOp_SWwAAV5SX.jpg:large

this has to happen fast a new owner something to lift the fans lift the players or someone has to sack Jamie Fullarton.

Someone has to sack him soon I read that his win rate is now worse then chris kiwoyma and I belive if we have another game without scoring it equals Paul ince record.

But he is breaking all the wrong records he has to go simple as that the longer he stays the more we are praying on York and Dagenham every week next year if he's still in charge we may not be so lucky it's just my opinion don't know what others think.

But I think we should all sing Fullarton out that's how I feel about it

If you summed up the best and worst decisions by Ray what would you choose?

Best

1. Avoid admin after Munto takeover
2. Invest monies off the field
3. Attempt to rally the fans by kind acts of gestures

Worst

1. Blame the fans for his/the clubs failings
2. Use social media and the other site
3. Itchy finger syndrome

Now you?

As I will not be online for a few days after tomorrow (my 6 monthly trip to a Mexican border is now due), I wanted to get in early and post my score prediction.

Yeovil are on a roll.

The recently twice-relegated Championship side, have just beaten Mansfield at Field Mill, before that Accrington, before that Daggers.....and before that drew with Plymouth and Portsmouth!!

Notts meanwhile, haven't beaten anyone since.....errrr.....my memory has gone blank.

In fact, the last time we had more than 3 shots on target was...... errrrr...ok, never mind.

So.......on the basis that we have to get lucky once in a while,.... and actually score!.....................3-1 to Yeovil

Today I stumbled on a Bristol Rovers fan article deep in the bowels of the Bristol Post, and my god does it put the boot into poor old Notts... just read some of it for yourself.

That poor sequence may still come back to haunt us, but at least Darrell Clarke stopped the rot, as he always seems to manage, with three comfortable wins, eight goals, and teams like Notts County suggesting there are some dire bottom feeders left to play.

Notts County could well be one of the rabble, shamelessly trading on their status as a founder member of the Football League in 1888, as if their history won't let them go down. Well, we certainly know all about that sort of attitude don't we? Excuse me if I have little sympathy for their puffed up club after the dirty battles of the late 80's / early 90's and the legendary 'ungentlemanly conduct' episode in September 2000, which although early in the season, could be seen as the stolen brace of points that eight months later saw us relegated, by a solitary point, to the Fourth Division for the first time in our history.

Karma has helped us to four wins out of five at Meadow Lane since that unsavoury episode, and last Saturday's win sounded like a pretty comfortable experience, which can hardly be said about Jamie Fullerton's managerial chair at the moment. There are times in life when unchecked 'ambition' fosters bad decision making, and given that Fullerton has had five football jobs in less than five years since joining Rovers in the summer of 2011 as Youth Team Coach (and leaving a year after), and has made some rather vocal critics in his playing and coaching career, this could well be one of those times.

Football fans apportion great credence to loyalty, and neither jumping from club to club, nor crossing the Trent from Forest to County, is much of a vote winner. Every manager in Britain knows there are certain poisonous jobs and boardroom dungeons that probably aren't worth striving for, at any salary, and the County hot seat must surely be up there alongside the rotten ducking stools at Villa Park, and that other tiding of self-important magpies in the North East.

It seems like the old superstition that a magpie is bad luck could be true, so instead of meeting a pica pica with the traditional greeting, "Good morning Mr. Magpie. How is your lady wife today?", healthier advice may be to run a country mile if 'Mike Ashley' or 'Ray Trew' ever pops up on a list of missed callers.

Bloody hell. Chip on their shoulder much?

Here's the full article (about half of it is devoted to ripping into Notts, the rest is Bristol Rovers stuff that doesn't concern us)

http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristol-Rovers-BLOG-Good-morning-Mr-Magpie-play/story-28906058-detail/story.html

Saturday's Fixtures:
Bolton Wanderers v Preston North End
Queens Park Rangers v Brentford
Barnsley v Southend United
Bradford City v Doncaster Rovers
Accrington Stanley v Plymouth Argyle
Hartlepool United v Dagenham & Redbridge

Three lists of top ten for you. But what are they lists of? All refer to the FA Cup since it started, but not including the qualifiying rounds.

List 1:   1st Notts County 2nd Nottingham Forest 3rd Derby County 4th Birmingham City 5th Stoke City 6th Aston Villa 7th Blackburn 8th Sheffield Wednesday 9th Preston 10th Sunderland

List 2:   1st Aston Villa 2nd Tottenham 3rd Manchester United 4th Everton 5th Arsenal 6th Blackburn Rovers 7th Sheffield Wednesday 8th Chelsea 9th Liverpool 10th West Brom

List 3:   1st Arsenal 2nd Tottenham 3rd Manchester United 4th Forest 5th Liverpool 6th Sheffield Wednesday 7th Bolton 8th Chelsea 9th Sheffield United 10th Reading

Sounds like Hardys pulling out of the takeover by the sounds of his tweets etc.

Such as his offer either isn't good enough or the American group have made a better offer and are in a better financial place in not sure.

Or the last rumour that's been going around repeat RUMOUR for people who don't understand that word is that Ray trew actually doesn't want to sell.

As he is now giving Fullarton backing to apparently bring in another forward to address the lack of  goals issue how about addressing Liam noble in the middle to create goals  or even score them after all he does have 8.

But yea just thought I'd give everyone a heads up
