4 teams have a mathematical chance of winning the title. France need a miracle though. All 3 sides above them would have to lose and even that might not be enough because of points difference.

    Schedule is:

    Italy vs Wales

    Scotland vs Ireland

    England vs France

England will know exactly what is needed to win the Championship. Here's my predictions:

Italy 6-44 Wales. That will put Wales top of the table with a points difference of 13 better than England and 17 better than Ireland.

Scotland 12-22 Ireland. Ireland fail to overtake Wales.

England 24-14 France. England miss out on points difference.

    Wales are crowned champions.

  2. I read a article on Curtis Thompson a moment ago, which I will link to the Nottingham Post - Here.

Shaun Derry speaks about how he's asked of certain things from Curtis Thompson and how he is pleased by the performances. He really does look a solid prospect in midfield but how long have we fans been saying? I'm not knocking Thompson, where ever he plays he gives 100% and he did have some okay games at right back but in his true position he's a joy to watch when he does run with the ball or out skills his opponents.

"We've asked Curtis to get certain things into his game because he is a player who shows plenty of endeavour," he said.

"Defensively he can cover the ground fantastically at times.

"We want him to be better on the ball going forward and stride forward when he gets that opportunity.

"He showed on two occasions when he got past the opposite side of his man and it would have been a fantastic goal.

"I'm just pleased with how he's developing.

"He's come on leaps and bounds this year."

What do you think has seen Curtis Thompson develop more over the 2014/2015 season? What do you make of his performances and how far do you think he can go if he keeps it up?

    Keep it up folks...

  3. Now that may not sound like a long way to some of you young uns but I am absolutely knackered.

We are finding our folding bikes really good and set off this morning for Carsington Water to ride right round it, it's funny we have walked it round and not noticed the hilly bits but we certainly noticed them on our bikes one or two were too much for our six gears (not to mention our legs) so we had to push the bikes up them.

We stopped for lunch on a bench half way round to give us the energy to do the rest and managed to get round back to the car, quite an achievement which we are proud of.

  4. BBC Radio Nottingham have reported that Jimmy Spencer has returned back to full training, however it's unsure how long it will take him to become match fit.

  6. I hope everyone is making today a special day for their mothers. A happy Mother's Day to all the mothers on here and I hope you have a lovely day.

Though today can be a sad time too for people who have lost their mothers or mothers who have lost a child so my thought go out them too.

We have been invited for a meal by our son and family and daughter in laws mother so it will be a happy family occasion tinged with sadness as we remember our other son who is no longer with us.

    Have a great day everyone.

  8. An interesting blog by a young woman suffering from cancer who has started a petition to stop the cuts to cancer drugs around the same time as the petition to get Jeremy Clarkson reinstated, guess which petition got more signatures?

A very sad state if affairs that people care more about a television celebrity with a massive ego who has been found to be a racist, sexist and now violent, than the Government cuts to live saving cancer drugs.

  9. What would be the most scary film you've seen?

I don't particularly like watching horror films but I remember watching a film called The Fog many years ago and it was pretty scary.

    What about you?

  10. Will Hayhurst
    Billy Daniels
    Sean Newton
    Taylor Mckenzie
    Drissa Traore

What is the point of these signings? Apart from being young, with the exception of Newton, we don't play them. Are they not good enough? If so, why did we sign them?

Hayhurst and Daniels are particularly worrying - we signed them as they weren't getting a look in at their previous clubs, and they now sit on the bench or not in the squad? Just very, very strange.

  11. How bad is it?

Noble is a complete moron who gets a yellow card for arguing, only to continue arguing and get sent off.

Carroll was lucky not to be sent off for the exact same thing, and the one who is supposed to be setting an example, the manager, also lucky not to be sent to the stands.

The management and the players he's recruited are turning our club into a farce! That's without mentioning performances!!

  12. Assuming we stay in this division (which I know is dodgy ground at the moment, but let's hope!)

    Who would you...?

    definitely keep

Maybe for the future (no golden oldies!)

    Get rid of immediately

I'm not sure of contract situations, but i'm sure people will enlighten me as this thread goes along.

  13. Another warm PoN welcome, this time to @spikey.I hope you enjoy your time with us and post soon.

  14. This Saturday's Fixtures:

    Rotherham United v Wigan Athletic

    Colchester United v Crawley Town

    Leyton Orient v Yeovil Town

    Wycombe Wanderers v Shrewsbury Town

    York City v Carlisle United

  15. i thought it would get this up nice and early since it seems to be awfully quiet around here.

bradford city have quite a few ex magpies from the great escape, the likes of alan sheehan, gary liddle, francois zoko and also stephen darby back from the days of munto?

    who can you name?

  16. Another tough game for us magpies, it's one where I'd like us to get something out of just to build confidence and a lot of this depends on how we play, what Bradford's setup is and if we can actually get going quite steadily. I don't think they will play a weaker side myself, I fully expect them to come at us in a stubborn manner.

I hope we can start brightly, if we can then there's everything chance we can get something out of the game.

My guts telling me that we won't play well, it will be depressing to watch but you know what? I plan to be positive on the day regardless, I win sing and try to silence any negativity no matter how the people around me think.

We need to get something from the game, we really do. My score prediction is 1-1.

What do you think? Score predictions?

  17. Here's a brief (roughly 3-5 mins) doodle, drawn by my finger using my tablet. I used to draw fairly regular once but I love doing quick art, mainly due to time and I'm happy with this because it's not as easy as some may think.

    Let me know your thoughts.

If this gets a decent reception I may draw things for folks to guess who and what it is. [emoji1][emoji13]

Re-released and remastered, this includes pictures I have taken throughout the 2014/2015 season. Please also have a read of my article based on the future of Shaun Derry and how I see things. - Here

    Thoughts?

  19. We took our grandchildren out today, a train ride to Sheffield to a Emergency Services Museum, lots of fire engines, ambulances, police cars etc., and a free ride on a fire engine for the kids. We all really enjoyed it.

On the way back the train couldn't stop at our station because of a broken down goods train and we had to carry on to Nottingham where the train stops, then stop on the train to come back to our station on a different platform which was fine by me as we were in no hurry. However it happened to coincide with the end of the football games and unfortunately as we waited for the train to head back lots of Florist fans boarded after their match, the train was packed with them, they were no trouble but I had to sit and listen to their excited jabbering about the win they had just witnessed. Already feeling low because of our loss I wanted to shout "SHUT UP YOU MORONS" at the top of my voice but didn't fancy going home with a fat lip so sat and suffered until we got to our station and we could escape.

I hate it when them lot win and we lose.

  20. Should the club allow for the fixture against Bradford City, this Saturday to be rearranged to this Friday instead?

Notts County will reject any further requests by Bradford City to move their league fixture because of their looming FA Cup quarter-final replay.

The Bantams face Reading next Monday just 48 hours after they will have faced the Magpies at Meadow Lane.

Bradford had asked the Magpies to consider bringing the game forward to this Friday night, but Notts were not interested.

Joint Bantams chairman Mark Lawn has said he will ask the Magpies again in a bid to give Phil Parkinson's team more preparation for the clash against the Royals. But the Post understands the Magpies are not interested in moving the League One clash at such short notice.

  21. Okay, simple game.

Name players, staff, coaches who have moved from one East Midlands club to another? So, that's Leicester City, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Chesterfield, Mansfield Town and Burton Albion.

The individual doesn't require to have featured for all, though it must be at least two.

One response per player, until another member has posted (so no double posting folks).

    If someone said Fred Bloggs
And he had played for Nottingham Forest and then Notts County, the following connection must be a player have featured for Notts County first.

Like this... Nottingham Forest > Notts County - Notts County > Derby County > Burton Albion - Burton Albion > Leicester City.

Do you follow? Makes sense? Let's see how long and how quickly we can keep this going until we start to struggle to name people.

    I will start....

    Craig Westcarr

    Notts County > Chesterfield

  22. A warm PoN welcome to @krisgarratt ,.Please join in with the banter and posting. Why not tell us a little about yourself.

  23. Noble has apologised to the players, management, owners and fans after being sent off, the story is on the clubs website I can't post a link at the moment but what do you think?

    Too little too late?
