Bbcrns tweeted that Lincoln City have rebuffed an approach from NCFC for there manager . Thoughts please

Hi everyone hope your all well.

New to the board so go easy please. Originally from Edinburgh (Hearts fan) but living in Cumbria for the last 16 years.

I'm not that close to Carlisle but go along when I can with my lads and watch Utd, yes I'm a glutton for punishment.

Hope to get to a few Notts games in the North in the news season and also make it down to ML.

Maybe catch up with a few of you.

Cheers

We need this man back pronto. Would love to see the faces of our players if he walked in the dressing room.

He took no prisoners the first time and he wouldn't this time.

I really hope we don't sack him, lets get him two big strapping centre halves and players who want to play for the club and then see where we sit.

The whole club is surrounded in apathy at the minute and we need to stick with strong personalities like John.

Big AH to target academy , to make it best in the area , and putting wheels in motion by interviewing premier league academy director , ended with a #class of92 , ?

Well folks, we're almost at the end of another year. We at Pride of Nottingham would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

We hope you all have an enjoyable festive period and that, whatever you get up to, and with whomever, you have a wonderful time in doing so, and may 2017 bring you joy and happiness.

All the best,

Notts Joe, JJ and the rest of the PON squad.

A very insightful article on Inside World Football about the Munto era at Notts County - just who was Russell King, aka "Voldemort"?

If you've got a spare 10-15 minutes it's really interesting, and you realise just how close he came to pulling it off (and in turn, Notts could easily have gone under).

Alan Hardy has said the lady pies are very much part of his plans, I don't watch them myself but i know some will be happy to hear they are safe 24dcf4673c4f527f59015ca742826476.jpg

I am getting and seeing a lot more comments about John Sheridan's tenure as the manager of Notts.

Today's result would seem like the majority have decided enough is enough, however I must still make it clear that I believe this would be a huge mistake - yet this is just my personal opinion. I am not sure how we can replace him whilst the takeover hasn't been complete and I do feel this would make a massive difference.

As would the January transfer window, its clear Sheridan won't give some players game time - for whatever reason this may be. He might be able to shift the balance with 3-4 players in and several so-called professionals out.

Regardless, have you say, discuss and vote!

The current list of police forces investigating this atrocity is as follows:

  • North Wales
  • North Yorkshire
  • Dorset
  • Staffordshire
  • Greater Manchester
  • Cambridgeshire
  • Hampshire
  • Cheshire
  • Northumbria
  • Metropolitan
  • Police Scotland
  • Avon and Somerset
  • Essex
  • Norfolk
  • Warwickshire
  • Derbyshire
  • Devon and Cornwall
  • West Midlands Police

How long before we find out that it is very club in every police area?

Is there no end to football's degredation?

To go to Eastleigh. Interesting. They must have made him a good offer.

Hi, I wonder if you can help me please? I'm involved in a project to identify the first Black players for each of the 92 league sides. I think the late Pedro Richards was County's first having made his debut at Sunderland on 23 November 1974 (I was there!). He was followed by Tristan Benjamin who made his debut at West Brom on 2 April 1975. Does anyone know of any earlier Black County players please?

So what's everyone been up to today, and did Santa get you anything nice?

Standard Christmas day for myself - present-opening in the morning, helped cook a massive roast dinner while picking away at a gingerbread house, consumed said dinner with family, then proceeded to pass out for the deepest two-hour nap of my life.

There are several members who are aware that the several past weeks haven't been the best for my family. Whilst the messages of support and concern have really gone along way, as I know this will mean a lot not just to @GrannyPie but @super_ram too.

My mum is firmly on the mend now and is awaiting permission to come home (where she belongs).

The kind well wishes have meant the world to us, I have passed them onto Granny at every given chance that I have had and I'm just wanting to ensure folks that the organ grinder will back very shortly - so mind those sticks of hers! I really didn't want to write anything publicly on the forum, at least not until things was clearer but just knowing how much Granny and Super are firmly apart the community here - I did want to take a moment just to say.

Thanks for all the supportive messages folks.

Just a recap over 14m accumalted debts, 2 million written off.

Supporters would be more understanding if there was some transparency, to be aware of how things have been allowed to get this far

..... for people who don't like brussel sprouts.  I'll be honest, I'm a sprout lover, I could eat a plate full of them with gravy.  My 3 kids however were like most kids - they were tempted to phone Childline if one appeared on their plate!  They will all be round for Christmas dinner on the 25th, and one of them actually said "make sure you do those brussel sprouts again", so here is my recipe for caramelised brussel sprouts:

Cut the sprouts in half, boil them in lightly salted water for 5 minutes, then drain thoroughly.

Take a frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, a knob of butter, a tablespoon of honey, a teaspoon of brown sugar, two rashers of bacon cut into small cubes, add black pepper to season.

Lightly cook the above, then add the sprouts stirring regularly so they absorb the juice, and cook for 10 minutes.

A bit more effort than simply boiling them, but well worth it.

Happy Christmas to all.

In my opinion we can't as we have had a bad run off form and take on 3 of the top 7.
