Piethagoram is a bit late, so here are my thoughts:
Collin 6 – no difficult saves to make, but kicking and command of his area was a bit better. Slowly improving.
Tootle 6.5 – looks suited to the wing back role, put himself about well.
Hollis 7 – kept things simple, good positionally, didn’t do a lot wrong.
Duffy 6.5 – solid performance in the middle of a back three.
Laing 6.5 – see Hollis, although knock a point off if his red card was for kicking the ball away.
Dickinson 7 – looked good defensively and going forwards.
Rodman 5.5 – competed a bit better, but his forward threat was minimal.
O’Connor 6.5 – much better, more involved and gave us a bit of shape.
Milsom 5.5 – anonymous for much of the game, but stuck at it even though he seemed to be struggling late in the game.
Stead 8* - our only threat first half, another great goal out of nothing before he went off.
Forte 6 – hard to know his position, but he did look a threat at times.
Collins 7.5 – Collins could be very good. Pace, power, and a superbly cool finish for his goal.
Oliver 6 – good substitution, gave us an outlet when were under the cosh.
Richards 6.5 – nicely weighted pass to free Collins, really hope to see more of him.
Overall a very enjoyable afternoon. A pretty dull first half was followed by the sort of second half that makes it well worth the money.
Positives:
We showed real fighting spirit after going down to 10 men.
Sheridan’s substitutions were spot on.
The crowd really woke up when we scored, we can create a good atmosphere if you give us something to cheer!
Jordan Richards – what a pleasure it was to see the son of a legend grace Meadow Lane.
A home win.
Within touching distance of the play-offs.
Above the Stags in the league.
Negatives:
Just the one, the fact that the destiny of the points could have been decided by the **** with a whistle rather than the 22 players on the pitch. How he failed to award a penalty (and possible red card) for the foul on Collins is beyond me. At least I can criticise him without it being called sour grapes.
http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/notts-county-jason-turner-3318328.aspx
At least some level of communication but surprised no mention of Raymundo returning as chairman, nor any indication of state of the sale / investment for future
So Luther Wildin has gone on loan to struggling Grantham Town for a month. Like Montel Gibson, I'm a little disappointed that he has been loaned out so low although he will be getting some football and hopefully this will only be for a month so he can then go somewhere higher up the pyramid to help with his development. People on here have spoken highly of him previously, so I would not like to see another promising youngster discarded from the club in favour of "experience".

Meadow Lane is a great ground but why does Notts find it harder than most visiting clubs to get wins?
I have seen people on Twitter suggest that we need a better atmosphere but I think much of it goes down to the way we perform going into home games. Its a poor excuse to say its because of pressure, performance leading into some games have been better but the end result just as poor. Is Meadow Lane cursed? Do the players lack ambition at home? Its not a lack of cohesion as why would the 09/10 squad do better?
The lack of quality and relate able players to the NCFC community plays a part of it IMO.

Collin 4 Another unconvincing performance. Misread chipped cross for their first and inexplicably stopped.
Laing 5 nice to have a defender comfortable on the ball
Tootle 5 Needed to put the foot in, which was needed today
Dickinson 5 good ball for Forte's goal.... got booked when ref got ball out decision hopelessly wrong
Duffy 5 out jumped for their first.
Hollis 5 suited and booted for Cheltenham's direct style
O'Connor 5 better game than his 2 previous no shows. Still remain unconvinced.
Milsom 5 more defensive than creative
Rodman 3 Anonymous again
Stead 7 Two class strikes
Forte 6 took his goal well. Got booked questioning another wrong decision by the ref
Subs:
Richards 6.5 Slotted in so well, no nerves, not a foot wrong. Pedro would have been proud
Oliver 5 Beginning to see what JS sees in him. Certainly does win headers
Collins 4 Energy but gave away needless free kick towards the end of extra time which put us under unnecessary pressure. Also needless offside for not running back when needed

Good win. Showed reliance. Good response to last week.
After they scored their second goal I didn't expect us to respond as quickly.
I didn't think the game would be over, as both sides seemed very likely to respond by scoring further but it sounded like several players really wanted the points today. Overall a much better performance by the sound of it, Mark Stallard mentioned various things about the defence but a winning formula will help breed a winning way. We just need to focus on giving teams a game at the end of the day.
We did this against Cheltenham who sounded like they are a reasonable League Two team.
Attendance last night for the Lionesses game. Did any one go, we couldn't make it?

The match day magazine used to be a great supplement to read, but I must say I am disappointed by the noticeably reduced quality.
I won't be shelling out £3 to buy it, that is for sure. What ever happened to the quality?

Some might argue that its still early, that some teams are late bloomers with regards to settling down. John Sheridan is still clearly learning about his squad, which players are consistent etc.
For me, I don't think the issue is down to the fact that the players are still learning about each other.
Nor do I feel its down to effort as such, I think some are just struggling for consistency and failing to take in the tactics. I think if the midfield and defence played up to standard, there would be no question that our strikers could get goals. Audel for me isn't a right back, he plays better elsewhere and I would like to see someone else establish that position as their own.
Centre back wise - I can see this improving easily with the midfield doing their part.
I agree with calls for the return of Stanley Aborah, we need his creativity and hold up play - yes I do think his performance have been inconsistent but many other players have been dire far more than him. We need better movement on the flanks, do we have any wingers who can run directly at the opposition? If so, why don't see this??? Dickinson would probably perform better if those around him did, yet he needs to focus on trying to win the ball and defend - I hate seeing him whine and argue. For such a well built player, he doesn't half act like prima donna.
So, how can Notts improve for you? What would be your solution to the weak and absent midfield? Discuss.....

Well it all started again last night. Result of the night is Barcelona's 7-0 destruction of Celtic. Celtic missed a penalty at 1-0.
It reached 34.4 degrees in Gravesend yesterday. Meanwhile in Manchester over an inch of rain fell in an hour meaning Man City vs Borussia Monchengladbach was postponed until tonight.
Arsenal went to PSG and drew 1-1. They'll be happy with that after being outplayed for most of the game. They scored with their first shot on target after 78 mins. PSG missed a host of chances, some were laughable misses, I actually laughed.......

Well tomorrow it all begins again, with another trip to the Wastelands of East Manchester, exactly the same fixture as the last CL group game Gladbach played in.
There's been the usual problems getting tickets, with even the people who work for Gladbach being denied access to the Hopsitality areas, 'because they're German'. Racism is alive and well in Englsih football!!
After City's performance against Man Ure and with Kun Aguerro available for the game I fear the worst...
But things may get better, after all the next game is against Barcelona...

Objects thrown onto the pitch, not an unknown phenomenon as these two arch-rivals with plenty of hooligans faced each other.
But - on this occasion in the 12th minute soft-toys were thrown on in a co-ordinated gesture to be collected for ill children, excellent gesture

What do you make of him at this early stage? He comes across as just a sensible lower league manager for me. The type we should have seeked before hiring Short, no thrills but gets the majority of decisions spot on.

I'm learning and seeing that the Football League plan to tackle live broadcasting.
There's been a lot of 'hype' over going live on social media and people are now broadcasting moments of the game, much like the older generation did for YouTube which ultimately got tackled. The likes of Keith's 'ShakeyProductions' and of course 'NottsCountyVideos' which was ran by Josh - all things which gave the fans a chance to see things, yet was pulled down due to 'copyright infringements'.
What do you make of this? Do you think the Football League are over censoring fans? Right call? Does it actually protect their copyright?
For me it's more excuses as to try and do what the cooperation's that sponsor the FA/Football League want. Yet people will always watch the highlights in clear HD, plus its more social thing. One of my major pet hates about football is the fact that its taken from us fans.
Thoughts?

i have never walked out early but i did yesterday.
the game was awful, it was not like accrington played well but they just did the right things where it mattered. you could tell it meant more to them to get the points. notts just looked flat and clueless. i do not understand why we took stead off, the young lad needs someone like him around. i hate to say it but the squad seriously lacks any quality to be anything more than this.
We were just poor, and there was no reason as to why. We were unbeaten in 4 after all but we were lacking in all areas, a game like yesterday really needed a Stanley or smith to keep the ball and get us ticking
@ohstanleyaborah your not the first to say this.
I lost count of how many fans said (even at half time) we needed a battler like Alan Smith on the field. Problem I see, we lacked movement there and having him on the field would give us someone who can win and put the fear of god into them - yet his immobility would only cause further issues. What we needed in my opinion was pace on the flanks, two proper defenders in the right and left back positions and someone who wasn't afraid to run at Accrington.
what browser do you use? why do you prefer it?
i used firefox on my samsung tablet but i have now enrolled into a work based course and so i decided to buy a new laptop. at the moment i prefer edge because its fast, clean and does not come with the annoying alerts that i noticed firefox does.

Collin 4 Sorry, have no confidence in this keeper. You never feel he will keep a clean sheet
Audel 3.5 Another lapse could, read should, have cost a goal.
Laing 5 Central defence dont work together
Duffy 4 ditto
Dickinson 4 effort but not impressed
Rodman 2 too slow, too lazy, one worthy tackle of note, otherwise nothing offered. Snijders deserves his place now
O'Connor 2 Anonymous again. Stanley gets criticised but this guy came with high expectations, which are not being delivered
Tootle 3 Not good, expected him to impose himself in a game like this.
Forte 6 Looked wasted on the wing. Did cause problems
Stead 3 Cannot play Stead and Oliver, too similar. Stead way off the pace
Oliver 4 Needed to start with Collins
Subs
Collins 5 Got pace but midfield jig saw not clicking. Needed change at 45 mins
Milsom 5 Needed Stanley instead to perhaps show something different to change the game
Campbell 4 Headless chicken syndrome. Needless lost possession which could have cost a goal
