Guidelines are being issued for putting hidden cameras in care homes. Apparently these cameras can be installed in an old persons room with their permission or if they can't give their permission then it has to be in their best interests.
What do you think? I reckon its a good idea because carer's have been caught abusing the elderly and anything that can stop this is good but the privacy of the elderly person and any visitors ought to be considered too.
I know when my mum was in a home we were very suspicious of some of the things that went on but couldn't prove anything, mum had dementia and would say things that we weren't sure really happened or whether it was her dementia so a hidden camera would have been very comforting for us. She fell and broke her hip and this led to ultimately to her death, it was never fully explained how it had happened so some video footage could have put our minds at rest.
I'm sure @notts-joe will have a view on this.

Just heard a clip from the interview with Ray to be aired on Radio Nottingham tomorrow and he says that Notts have cost him £19 million so far. If that's true it's a staggering amount for a league one side, did I hear it right or was it £9 million?

So who else is feeling the winter blues?
With the cold setting in, and money as tight a a Nun's Crotch.
Notts County are out on the field. and we seem to have lost that Early Season High (I know we were punching above our weight ) But still.
What are your thoughts about these Last 10 Games & Can we move up from here and have an Exciting End to the season?

Morning all, it's an early start for us as the grandchildren will come bouncing through the door any minute, they will be having breakfast with us then we are taking them to school and nursery. Hopefully getting a shopping trip done while they are there and a bit of work done.
What's the day got in store for you? Tell us what you are up to today.

No? Oh well suit yourself
Just got back from our little holiday in Norfolk, we had a lovely cosy cottage on the coast at Heacham, a lovely village with everything we needed, 3 pubs, Indian restaurant, chip shop, Chinese takeaway and Tesco express.
Our favourite pub brewed its own real ale, eat your heart out @super_ram.
Our folding bikes were a great success, we were a bit wobbly to start with but soon got the hang of them and went a bike ride on three days, a lovely ride through Sandringham Estate, her maj was at home but we didn't get invited in, the longest ride we did was 7.5 miles to Hunstanton and back down the sea front, it doesn't sound far but my bum was hurting when we got back (no rude jokes please).
All in all a great holiday to recharge our batteries, can't wait for the match now!

Apparently people are mistaking daffodils for spring onions and supermarkets are having to move them from the vegetable area.
So just a reminder to all you romantics for Valentines Day, Daffodils have yellow flowers on the end for goodness sake don't give your loved one a bunch of spring onions otherwise you might get a bunch of fives back

I'm not sure how true it is, but 20k a week! I imagine Notts' starting line-up earns something close to that!
Ridiculous wages, and just goes to show you can't buy a league. Having money for a team is a start, but throwing money like sh** at a wall will get you nowhere.

It seems one of our former loanees (last season) Kwesi Appiah played for Ghana in the quarter final and semi final of AFCON, must be a major step up to be called up by Ghana, but I saw him play last night and for the 82 minutes that were played, he looked relatively comfortable.

Surely following yesterdays game against Crystal Palace, Nigel Pearson can expect an FA charge of misconduct or bringing the game into disrepute... or both

well a few weeks ago i would have said the top 6 but after the defeats we have suffered I'm not to sure.
There is a few positives in the team roy carol being a big one the fact we have only been loosing by 1 or 2 goals is encouraging i still think the top 6 we can make the playoffs like the great escape last year

The article from local Swindon paper, says the club have been served a petition, but nothing to worry about, as it is sorted...
Still not the best news for @medievalmickey ....
I know it is only the taxman trying to get monies owed, but there must be problems if a bill goes unpaid for this length of time, I know companies delay and delay payments as long as possible, but not this long

Would it take you to either earn now, or indeed earn when you worked to replicate one of these salaries?

Here's yesterdays highlights, it's not as bad as I thought. It's actually good to re-see our chances, if only Bajner could have scored one of this efforts.
