League action resumes for Notts Women on Sunday, 10th Nov, at 2pm when Notts play Lincoln City Women at Coronation Park.

Lincoln City Women, formally Nettleham FC were promoted last season, but have found it very hard to compete in this higher league, & are still looking for their first win, having lost all their previous nine league matches.

Notts will be looking to get back to winning ways after a series of defeats against very good opposition.

This match up will be a good opportunity for Notts to get their fifth win of the season, but of course, they must not underestimate Lincoln City, who will be looking to cause a shock.

At the moment in the Premier League

A Premier League squad can have up to 25 players, but at least eight of them must be "homegrown" players.

That means 17 out of the total of 25 can be foreign players. This can mean that home grown players may never get in the starting eleven..

Having such a low number of home grown players can have a knock on effect for the four home Nations squads regarding ability & availability.

I think that home grown players should be at least a minimum of 13 out of the 25.

What do my fellow PON members think the right number of home grown players should be in a squad of 25?

  • Can't disagree with what you've said @Wheelbarrow repair man

A minimum of eight home players in a squad of 25 doesn't mean they'll be any home players in a PL eleven.

It would be better to have a minimum home player number on the field at any one time.

If it were me making the rules that number would be at least six, to ensure home players have the majority at all times.

I would also ensure that there is at least one home grown coach on any first team coaching staff in the PL. It may be an assistant first team coach or Head Coach so long as there is at least one.

I’d up it a bit, maybe to 10, I don’t think the English national team is in a bad place at the moment and our recent good showings in international tournaments show this.

It could potentially have a negative impact, if the number is too high you risk players just being named for the sake of filling the squad. Lots of very good young players get a season out on loan in the Championship and play proper competitive matches every week at a good standard. Surely this is better for their development then just sitting on the bench each week for Premier League teams. And, it also benefits the teams further down the football pyramid too. Like George Abbott, right now it’s a win-win for scenario everyone for Spurs, Notts and George.

I don’t think England will ever have a shortage of good players, it’s almost too popular in this country, so many kids play for their local grass-roots team and progress into academies and professional football. Personally, I think the good-home grown players will eventually get to where they should be, even if players don’t get the chance early on in their careers and have to take a slightly different route their talent will always shine through at the end of the day.

is it the italian leagues where they have stricter rules about overseas players? i think the number should be a bit higher, maybe 10 like @menzinho mentioned. but i would like to see it broken down into age groups, so x players 16-20, then more 18-24.

there is no concern about the quality of players coming through, but some youngsters are discarded after reaching a certain age and this is more common if their form is inconsistent. you can have the same happening to a big name, but the reputation tends to save them. i think having a focus on retaining players that are in age groups would give better young professionals a chance to establish themselves.

This is not a poll but just a discussion on who PON members think is their player that has excelled the most in the first 14 games.

Notts have had a great start to the season & in their first 14 games they stand in third place in the table, scoring 22 & conceding just 12 goals.

We have seen some excellent performances by all the Notts  players, especially the new ones that arrived over summer.

We can't forget the contributions from players who are out with injuries, such as Jones, Edwards & Grant, who helped Notts make a great start, & hopefully they will return in January.

The Notts defensive unit of Bedeau, Platt & Macari have been outstanding, with Bass a commanding influence between the sticks.

Tsaroulla & Gordon have excelled as Wingbacks & the midfield of Robertson, Abbott Crowley, & Palmer, (who is getting back to his best since his return), have all been commanding either defensively or going forward.

Didzy & Jatta are doing the business for Notts upfront. Austin has come in & played in different positions but has always done a job for Maynard.

And we can't forget the rest of the squad, players such as Martin, Brown, Cundy, Hinchy, Scott, McDonald, & Slocombe who've all demonstrated the strength of the Notts bench.

So my PON colleagues, we have an outstanding squad of players to choose from for your Player of the season so far. You can choose only one.

Just name your choice & why you chose that player, & maybe others that caught your eye.

Actually, least we forget, Jodi Jones was magic before his injury

I was about to point this out, as I feel Jodi's form was bringing the best out of Dan Crowley. There was a period, whereby those two were very dominant in our team, very dangerous having them in our attack, and the injury to Jodi Jones seems to have impacted Crowley slightly - along with his own injury woes.

I still feel Dan Crowley has been immense this season, and would be my Player of the Season. At this point, at least.

If we spoke about "signings", then Jacob Bedeau has to be up there with one of the best recruited players, but you could throw Matty Platt and Alex Bass into the mix. It's a very interesting, and difficult thing to decide. It should make the Pride of Nottingham awards at the end of the season interesting.

Good morning a new week dawns. It’s a grey start but mild.

I might go for a little run down the canal towpath today since there wasn’t a park run on Saturday, I need to shed extra pounds I put on during our holiday.

We also need to get someone round to measure for a carpet in our loft bedroom, hopefully we can get a new carpet before Christmas when we have our family staying here.

What’s happening in your world? Let’s keep the weekly chat alive.

As I read through the many different Topics or Threads,  or what ever you care to call it, I wonder as a Writer how do you Class your Success on the Pride Of Nottingham Web Site?

By that I Mean, do you look at the Amount of  Views your Topic gets? Or Maybe the Replies?  What do you Base the Success of  your Piece on ?

Personally I set myself a Moderate Target of a Hundred Views and Three or over Replies to any of my Topics has a Success.

Do You Set Yourself A Target? Or Aren't you bothered that Much? Are you just Happy to see your thoughts up on the Screen of your Lap Top or Phone?

I Believe that My Best Viewed Post was one regarding the Departure of Jim O'Brien from the Lane, which the last time I Looked (many weeks ago) had over 1,200 Views (small Potatoes compared to some other Topics) But it bought me some satisfaction. Most Replies was my Article about Loan Players Good or Bad? Which received 20 replies. That was My First ever Contribution to PON.

Then there's the Topics I've written months Ago and Somebody Views one of them and it comes back to My Attention and I get a Certain Kick out of that, even though there are times I'd Completely Forgotten I'd written it!!  And once your Topic has gone from Page One of the PON Site do you keep tabs on it or Do you think,  Well that's Finished time to write something else, I Must Confess occasionally I do look for my Older Ramblings, I think the Furthest I've Gone Back is around Page 8, but this is Very Rare, once it's gone from the First page I usually Forget about it. I get My Inspiration from things I read on the Internet then add My Own Thoughts and Write a Piece About it on Here, or I Add my Opinion on the Main News coming Out of the Lane. Such has the Arrival of a New Coach or the Opening of the Nest (I still think, that's a Lousy Name) Fan Zone or the Departure of a Popular Player.

One Criticism if I May, Some Topics or Threads I Think stay on the First Page for far to Long. I include my own Piece Has Everything Gone Pear Shape At Manchester City? Which was last Replied to on the 10th of October,  I would think some people who see it still sitting there may think. Same Old Same Old and Click off again, if it appears there's Nothing New to Read or Comment On.  So once a Topic as been on the Front Page as it were and Not been viewed or commented on, for a certain length of Time, it should be dropped and placed on the Second Page. But for the Most part I enjoy PON and Interacting with fellow Magpie Fans on Everything Notts, Football and other related Topics.

  • I use the dashboard for the vast majority of the time. I also use the unread area too.

I check out & read posts from the past that are relevant to today.

If a post is interesting & well written, even if I don't agree with parts of it, I will still like it.

If I particularly like a post I will love it.

I try to contribute to the site by reading as much as I can especially from members who may not get the everyday response as those who are on here every day.

The site has a good system as far as I'm concerned that rewards members that interact with others.

The more that one interacts, the more they are rewarded. Ie, reputation points, & achievement points.

The site is all about encouraging interaction & that's a good thing because more interaction will help the site grow even more.

My advice to @Wheelbarrow repair man & newbies is to read the posts from different members, because there are lots of good posts on PON & respond with a like or a reply.

It's not just about the new posts and the first couple of pages of the dashboard. It's about lots of hidden gems that are just waiting to be discovered again.

Check out some of the back articles posted by PON, & the blogs. Some very interesting stuff there too.

my only focus is to support pon and members by giving my thoughts, sometimes things natural go a bit slower and if I started a discussion which did not get many responses i would simply try to encourage it. failing that, i would try to highlight it in the content you might have missed. tony and i have been doing this for a few months, few people react but it does not make it less important.

A topic could be seen by 100–1000 guests over time, with 2–60 members having seen the topic. Only to have one reply, I wouldn't say it failed because sometimes all it takes is a few people to respond to encourage others into sharing their views.

There are a few members who try to engage with every post possible, and in a meaningful way.

I don't have any focus these days on success, I see things as a way to learn, and I personally just want members to enjoy themselves. That for me is the happiest aspect, as I don't care about the amount of reactions I get to comments (it's nice), but honestly, I would rather see members named within the leaderboard or hitting good amounts of reactions. I think it's more about quality, and togetherness.

Don't take my comment about reactions the wrong way; it's just not something I focus on.

My success here can only be deemed on effort, leadership and quality.

It's something I need to step up, but I know people understand - which is a massive worry off my shoulder.

Cal has been named National League North Player of the Month.

Could Notts make a cheeky bid for him in January as a Striker/ Attacking Midfielder?

Could be a smart move.

  • Show previous comments  2 more
  • I definitely agree the National League North is below his level, I’d actually like to know why he dropped back into it with Scunthorpe though, were there no National League clubs in for him?

I don’t think he’d work as a striker, an attacking midfielder would probably suit his game more. That said, League 2 opposition is a world away from the part-timers in the NLN. He missed a large chunk of last season too through injury I think he needs a whole season, minor knocks aside, injury free otherwise it’s a bit of a risk for me.

i hope he can get back to playing in the national league itself, a lower league two team might take interest in him. yet at the current level, he should be shinning and i am pleased he is.

Unfortunately, his move to Aberdean was his shot of playing at a higher level, and whilst I think he still has the chance to have some time in League Two. It's narrowing down, to which I believe it might just be better and more enjoyable for him to be a part of salvaging Scunthorpe United woes.

He's a great player, very exciting to watch and when in form - he's hard to play against.

It's great to see him re-find this form, plus earning praise but an element of it comes with being settled. If Scunthorpe can maintain their current form and push to make a return to League Two, then his injury concerns might not cause his career further issues. They know the concerns, will most likely have a familiar feeling to how we did when he was here and view him as irreplaceable.

So, it is good to see him doing so well.

The Following Question has been Raised and I'd like to Know, Which Is It ? To My Fellow PON Members.

Over the past Few weeks the  Magpies Match Reports on the B.B.C. Website have changed. The Boys in the Black & White Stripes

Used to be Called Notts County. However in Match Reports they are Now Simply Referred to as Notts. And it seems that some Magpies Fans are

Up in Arms about it. Asking why our Team are Now just Written as Notts and Not Notts County?

So Where Do You Stand On The Issue? Dose It Bother You If You're Called A Notts Fan? Do You Call Yourself A Notts Fan?

Or  should the Magpies be called by their Full Title Notts County? And You Are A Notts County Fan?

  • Show previous comments  2 more
  • typical football fans and notts, to find something to complain about that needs not. its not like we're being labelled nottingham. i get some might prefer notts county to just notts, but what a waste of energy to complain and make a fuss.

I refer to our fans, on social media as "Notts fans". Mostly, because it saves characters, and it can read better. I sometimes include Notts County further in the message(s), so I really don't see the fuss.

We are Notts, County, Magpies, The Magpies, The Black & White Army, NCFC, Pies etc.

Preference is one thing, but it's on par with political correctness and wokeness to take harms over something so trivial. This is when it comes to beyond moaning, and taking to using pitchforks or having a meltdown over it. The world has so many problems, but how we refer to ourselves as fans isn't one - provided it falls within meaning.

Right Come On My Fellow PON Members, I'll lay down a Challenge for You.

Lets put aside the worries of the Notts Injury List, Freezing Weather, or the Predicted Heavy Snowfall that's (Supposed) to be on it's way and have a Laugh or a Giggle, but your Joke or Funny Story Must Have A Football Theme. Can we get to Ten? I'll Start the Ball Rolling.

Luke Williams had a Funny Turn in the Swansea City Center. Luckily he was picked up by two Swans Fans and taken into the local Nat West.

As he drank some Sweet Tea to Help with his Recovery, he asked on of the Swans Fans

Where Am I ?

You're in the National Luke was the Reply

Blimey, What Happened to to Leagues 1 and 2?

There you Go there's the Start. Don't be Shy tell us a Funny Football Joke or Story, it doesn't matter How Daft or Corny It Is, Lets have a Laugh.

  • Right this is my Last Footy Joke (that I remember) Which I Hope I Can Get Away With (Something Billy Connolly said on his First Parkinson Interview)

There was this Footballer who was the Leading Goal Scorer in the League he was playing in. Well he had a New Girlfriend, a Very Well Developed Young Lady (shall we say) Anyway they'd been going out for about six months and Nothing had happened in Bed. So one night the Young Lady decides she's going to get things started. Her and the Striker are laying in bed and she starts rubbing his Forehead.

My word she says what a Strong Forehead You've got.

Yeah, I've scored 15 Goals with my Forehead this season replies the Footballer.

Tracing her fingers across his Chest then down to his Left Leg she begins rubbing his Left Leg.

My Word what a Strong Left Leg You've Got.

Yeah, I've scored 15 Goals with my Left Leg as well says the Footballer.

His Girlfriend runs her fingers across his Belly then starts Rubbing his Right Leg.

Wow what a Strong Right Leg You've Got.

I've Scored 15 Goals with my right leg as well replies the Striker.

Getting very Aroused the Young Lady says Tell Me Have You Ever Felt A T*T?

Yeah the other Week when I Missed A Penalty.

That's the question PON members.

Everyone will have their own opinions on what makes a good Head Coach come Team Manager.

For my example of a good Team Coach/Team Manager, you can't go any further than Jimmy Sirrel who guided Notts from the fourth tier to the first tier, building multiple teams to get the team promoted through the leagues.

Another would be Neil Warnock, & recently, Mark Robins is the another one who's Managed a team from the 4th tier to the 2nd tier & nearly made it to the 1st

Those three would be my idea of what is good. Managing at all four levels & building a team to get promoted to each level.

Thoughts?

    Can't Fault Your Choices @Robbie.

Those three Managers /Coaches have Proven Records on how to Build a Winning Team from Practically Nothing, and have done it for more that just a Single Season.

Each's Legacy will be Long Remembered in the History of the Game. And each will be Remembered by the Respective Fans of the Clubs which they have taken to Football Glory.

They will also Share a Huge Satisfaction with their Career Records and Know that through Blood Sweat and Tears, they have lifted the Players they have Managed, making Poor Players, into Good Players, Good Players into Great Players and Great Players into Star Players. A True Fulfilment of their Footballing Life's Work. Unlike the Empty and Stale Feeling Head Coaches like Pep Guardiola will have Deep Down Knowing that all their Success was Handed to Them on a Plate.

There will be other English/British Coaches who will achieve the Same Dizzying Heights in their Coaching Careers and Still the F.A. Choose a Foreigner to Lead the National Side.

Can't disagree with what you've said @Wheelbarrow repair man but as we know, the powers that be don't think all those things make for a good coach nowadays.

When a team has the money to buy the best, those traits that we have agreed are what counts, doesn't score high on the score sheet of owners in my opinion.

I think they look at the marketability of a Head Coach first. Can he attract the best players, can he enhance the Club's reputation abroad & attract foreign support, can he attract even more investment for the Club from home & abroad?

I don't think those traits are the attributes of a good Head Coach/Manager, but what do I know?

A view of the Earth & the moon from the European Space Agency's Hera craft, en route to an asteroid.

No I Don't mean Ken Dodd, Jimmy Tarbuck or Arthur Askey. Simply your average Liverpool Football Fan.  The Comment section on the Have Your Say section after Liverpool's 4-0 Demolition of German Bundesliga Champions Bayer Leverkusen is full of Funny Witty and Sarcastic Comments.

Liverpool are now known as the Slot Machine after New Head Coach Arne Slot. Liverpool could win the Quadruple and there would still be Fans that Moan.

But Liverpool haven't Played Any decent team Yet. I'll reserve Judgement on this Liverpool team, until they've played the Teams above them.

Xabi touching This Is Anfield Sign. Class is Permanent. A Small Quibble how come 4-1 is a Thrashing and 4-0 is Easing Past Someone.

Just a Few comments I Enjoyed .

Slot Machine. Corny I know but it made me Smile.  Liverpool could Win the Quadruple and there would still be Fans that Moan. I think something along the Lines of Stuart Maynard getting Notts Promoted from League 2 into the Premiership and Winning Trophies both at Home and In Europe some Fans still wouldn't be Satisfied.

But Liverpool haven't played any Decent Teams Yet. So the German Champions, who went through their Championship winning season unbeaten aren't a Decent side? I think this Fan was just being Sarcastic? Just a Tad.  Reserving Judgement on the Current Liverpool Team until they've played the Teams above them. Top of the Premier League and Champion League Group, another  Witty and Sarcastic Remark.

Xabi touching This Is Anfield Sign. Class Is Permanent. You'll Get No Argument From Me. I Like to see EX-Players and Coaches pay their Respects to the Fans of their Former Clubs.. Good Question. So why is it 4-1 is a Thrashing, but 4-0 is just Easing Past Someone? The Mystery of the Mind of Some Football Reporters or Pundits.

Well from Someone who has sat through a Ken Dodd Laughter Show, for 6 hours and laughed at his opening Joke right till his Last Joke. I'll Say

                                                                                                     Tatty Bye Everybody.

Just looking at the transfers in only two players have arrived since Klopp left, so the Liverpool squad is still extensively Klopp's.

Seems a good move by the new manager not to change too much. Let's see if he can continue the Klopp success.

Klopp won the PL title once & the Champions league, so will Slot be just as successful? That remains to be seen.

Bob Paisley won the league championship six times & European Cup three times, & fourteen major trophies overall over a nine year tenure.

Pep says that Man City will struggle to win the treble this season.

Kamala's a B***h. Sorry Karma 's a *B***h ain't it Pep? For years Manchester City have managed to avoid Major Injuries to their Top players, and their Arab owners have spent vast amounts of money to bring in World Class players to literally buy Trophies in English Domestic Football, making the Premier League a Joke.  I wouldn't say City were in a Crisis, but it may be a Situation Pep has never found himself in Before, Now we'll see how Good a Coach he is. But then again he should have enough of a Strong in Depth Squad to overcome his sides Injury problems. So  I still expect the Blue side of Manchester to be in the Mix for Trophies come the seasons end.

@Wheelbarrow repair man It will be a challenge for Pep, it's very unusual for City to lose a match, so just one loss has got the media in a frenzy.

I think the choice of my title was more a kin to being a little facetious regarding the situation.

If Pep can't get City out of this "mini crisis" (three defeats on the bounce) questions will start to be asked by the media on whether Pep is up for a fight or not.

The Media are good at making a drama look like a crisis. It's the click & bait age for all said & done.

I'm sure I'm Not the only Notts County Fan having Cause For Concern, regarding the form of Cedwyn Scott. He came to the Lane not long after the arrival of his Gateshead Team Mate Macaulay Langstaff and along with Macca a Bag Full of Goals. The Strange thing was the then Notts Head Coach Luke Williams swapped the Players positions around and for a time didn't even play them along side each other in Matches, but when they did play together Scott still played a Striker's Role. in fact during the Season in the National League I believe Scotts Strike Rate was even better per games played than Langstaff's (please advise me if I'm wrong).

The two Most Stand Out Memories (for me anyway) regarding that Promotion Gaining Season was Ceds missing a Late Penalty at Wrexham, but scoring the Penalty at Wembley which took Notts back into the EFL, Real Boys Own Stuff. He seemed to be settling well into Life in League 2, when he suffered an injury which kept him out of the Notts side for months and certainly since his Return he seems to be Blighted by ill Luck and other niggling injuries, on Top of Which it seems that like Luke Williams, Stuart Maynard seems Hell Bent in Playing Ceds out of Position. So Questions need to be asked Did Cedwyn Scott come back too soon after his Injury? Should he have waited out last season and made a Fresh Start at the Start of this Season? And how is the Fact SM is playing Ceds Deeper, away from his Natural Position of Scoring Goals having an Impact on his Form?

To Me it seems that Stuart Maynard is Preferring  Jatta over Scott who is also Struggling to Adopt to the Position Maynard wants him to play within the Team, and I think our Head Coach is Wrong. To Me Ceds is an out and out Striker and SM should be playing him along side Jatta (or McGoldrick) up Front to try and make them into a Double Strike Force like Scott had with Langstaff at Gateshead and for a Time at the Lane. Thoughts?

  • Scott played well in the National League playing in an attacking midfield role and he still scored a good number of goals. I think he's still capable of playing that role for us along with playing as forward too (good luck getting in a head of Jatta and Didzy there though).

But the injury has been a massive setback, even over pre-season he didn't score and he looked like a player that hadn't played for a year. And then in his competitive return he's not looked quite on it but that is to be expected with all the football he's missed. I think he just needs a bit more playing time and with our injuries to Jodi, Grant and Edwards he's got more of chance than ever now.

I don't think it matters too much where he plays, he's played enough in the attacking midfield role he knows what to do, he's just got to take his chance when he gets it.

i think its more the club wanting to make sure he makes the first team and therefore is insisting to play him in midfield, he can do well but he needs time after his injury. i dont fault his workrate, hes always working hard. i just dont see him as a midfielder as much, i think he should be played more as a striker. there is the chance he could do a similar role to david mcgoldrick but i dont think persisting with him being a midfielder is all that beneficial to him.

the first part of last season in league two, he was brilliant.

he must feel a bit lost without macaulay langstaff, they have been a duo for awhile and being played out of position, it must add to missing his former teammate.

I think that it is becoming a cause for concern that we have eight injured players on the treatment table.

Whether it stems from rough treatment by the opposition, training methods or modern day footballers getting tired much easily nowadays.

It is not just happening at Notts but other clubs up and down the league have the same issues.

Eight players out of the squad is a very big number & a large number such as this brings the academy players into play too.

But the fit players available now have to step up to the plate & make a play themselves for a place in the starting eleven, once these injured player's return.

Good news for Notts, Rod McDonald & Lucas Ness are coming back to match fitness & in Rod McDonald's case, he is available for selection.

Up till now, Stuart Maynard has had a settled back line for the first ten games, Lewis Macari, Jacob Bedeau, & Matty Platt have done superbly, with Rob Cundy filling in off the bench

Stuart McDonald has impressed Stuart when playing for Notts in two EFL trophy games & Lucas Ness impressed playing his first 45 minutes of the season in the 2nd of those games.

There has been talk of McDonald replacing Macari in the first 11. Question. Do PON members think Stuart should make a change to the back three for the upcoming games or stick with the three defenders who have performed well of late?

Nice to see Jevani Brown make it in the FA Cup Team of the Week.

In the past few weeks Sir Alex Ferguson has been dismissed from his Position from Manchester United, which cost the Club in the region of £2million per year.

A Cost cutting exercise put in place by Jim Ratcliffe. And today former player Ryan Giggs has been put back in the Coaching Dug out, which begs the Question

How much Money has Giggs brought into the Club since his former Boss retired in 2013? Compared to Fergie?

Of course Silly Me. Giggsy is doing his new Job for Nothing. Right?

Yeah Right. What's the Point? The New Head Coach will soon be on his way, and Giggs (like Ferguson) will be out of the door. Wouldn't the money Giggs is getting be put to better use by giving the remaining staff at Old Trafford ( some of whom) have been there years a Pay Rise?

Is he there to show the new Head Coach the Man Utd ropes, as in you do it this way or it's the highway.

I've heard that Van Nistelrooy is staying too. Also did you notice they appointed a Head Coach, not a Team Manager, so it really does look that the new Head Coach may be tightly controlled regarding is remit.

Of course I might be totally wrong by my assumption, but if it were me, I would expect to bring in my own people like Stuart Maynard did at Notts. But what do I know.

    @Robbie

I read that Van Nistrelrooy  was expected to leave when the New Head Coach arrives, because he was bringing his own staff in with him. Plus there were also a couple of players he wanted to bring to United from his old club in the January Transfer Window. But current Manchester United Players wanted Ruud to stay at Old Trafford, in some sort of position.

So what exactly  is Giggs going to do? Very Odd..

@Wheelbarrow repair man l looked on Google to see what Ryan Giggs is currently doing and he is down as Director of Football at Salford City, so I'm not sure what's happening.

And he was in the Dugout for Salford City for their win the other day against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup, so It all seems a little confusing somewhat.

But he does have huge ties to Man Utd, so anything happening there will surely interest him.

Personally I think this is a result of a very poor decision by the FA to abolish replays from the FA Cup 1st Round onwards. They didn't abolish replays in the qualifying rounds.

When teams in the lower leagues are struggling for revenue non league teams & even lower league teams could earn hundreds of thousands of pounds from TV revenue for a replay against a top side.

The first two rounds of the FA Cup don't even involve Premier League Cubs so why stop replays for the first two rounds?

It is a very poor show by the powers that be, who have decided that PL sides participation in Europe comes first over the most famous football tournament in the World.

Well @Wheelbarrow repair man  we have a list of seven clubs so far, that have missed out on a lucrative replay, that could have earned them up to £100K in TV money.

This list will only grow bigger as each round is played, & the money lost by an unfortunate club, will get much more as each round is completed.

Bit of a scandal brewing me thinks.

These players are my shortlist for the Man of the Match v Alfreton.

Platt, Bedeau, Palmer, Brown, Abbott, Jatta, & Martin

Good morning, it’s the start of another week.

We’ve got another 5 days of our holiday, yesterday we had a lovely walk in the woods with the family, it was very picturesque with a carpet of golden brown leaves covering the floor, beautiful streams and waterfalls. I’ll see if I can put a picture here.

No file too big. ????
