That will be welcomed by some fans, not too sure about the only cashless payments they've bought in.

Fans have wanted to be able to pay by card for years, now it's here, it makes sense to make it card only.

I don't know what drinks the club has to offer; it would be nice to know if they sell a cider or something. I don't like larger, it's worse than beer. 🤮

@Chris reading the article I linked to you are in luck this is a quote from the article:

“The partnership gives supporters the choice of some of the nation’s favourite beer and cider brands when they visit Meadow Lane, including Carling, Madri Excepcional and Sharp’s Cold River Cider.”

I’m not sure any of those brands will be my favourite, I’d rather have Theakstones Old Peculier, Old Speckled Hen, Hobgoblin etc. but I’m sure the drinks on offer will please lots of supporters.

This isn’t really newsworthy, as it doesn’t mention any changes or anything of interest to us. It’s just a press release promoting the partnership, and since I don’t drink at the ground, it doesn’t appeal to me for that reason either.

I hope it's an option in the concourse area of the KOP, I don't drink in the MLSB.

Thanks, Tony. 🖤🤍

When reading the title, I initially thought @fanofbigtone was offering to buy everyone on Pride of Nottingham a drink🤣

You’ll be lucky. They don’t call me Tight Tone for nothing. :rollonfloorlaughing:

I don't think it was necessary the drinks selection that was the main issue.

In the Kop, the issue is mainly the waiting time. You have to leave by 35 minutes and drink very quickly to have any chance of seeing the start of the second half. A secondary issue is the fact that the beer they serve you is piss-warm.

I would drink Carling, but I usually find it cheaper and more pleasant to drink my own wee instead.

I wish the club would work more closely with local breweries. I know they have worked with Magpie Brewery, but there are many others and it could help reduce costs while giving more profit and extra options to fans. We change suppliers every 5 years. Carling isn’t new to us; we’ve had them before and fans wanted to get rid of them when they started supplying slower stock.

i dont buy drinks at games because the prices are so steep, its not reasonable what they ask for a soft drink in comparison to something alcoholic. its quite daylight robbery, as i have had drinks at smaller football grounds for a much fairer price. its like notts is the reason, squeezing more profits out of the fans pocket.

I believe that our fans will consume any beverage if it helps them forget and provides them with a sense of comfort. Personally, I am less concerned about it.

The KOP is a terrible place to get served and I have stopped trying. I don’t think people will be happy if the prices increase again.

All lagers taste unpleasant, as they are not real beer after all. A better selection and quicker staff would be a positive move forward. If payments were contactless, it might speed things up further.

The soft drinks are always warm, and they lose the fizz with the bottle caps taken off. It makes me laugh when they do this because there are so many things you can take in that you could throw if you were an idiot. I am not sure what damage a plastic cap can do to a footballer.

Carlsberg to Carling, oh dear. I didn’t think it could get any worse. I haven’t had a drink at Notts during half time for years. The MLSB should hopefully still have a good selection.

I drink at the Embankment or Navi. Sometimes, I’ll grab one closer to the city centre, depending on the weather. If it’s sunny, there are plenty of good bars and pubs to go to. I don’t like the MLSB’s pricing or offering. I wouldn’t drink warm lager at half-time either.

This is simply the club attempting to secure the most favourable deal for themselves in order to maximise profits. Once this agreement concludes, we will likely return to Carlsberg or another sponsor. The club has a history of switching sponsors whenever the contract is up for renewal.

I don’t have a problem with this because I assume it will offer different varieties in certain parts of the ground, and nobody has to drink Carling.

This has no bearing on me, but it’s still interesting and some of the comments made me laugh. Are Carling that disliked that people would rather drink urine? I’m sure they do some things that are nice. Whether or not the club sells them, I don’t know. It can’t all be lager though.
