What job do you do?

There's not much going on football-wise, so I thought I'd delve into the lives of members old and new ...

What kind of work do you do? Or did you do, if you're retired. And what do you young 'uns want to become?

I'm a translator, German to English. I translate operating instructions, advertising material, brochures, financial stuff into English for German customers. Not to be confused with an interpreter, I'm too slow for that (and not presentable enough)!

I am only 17 in july and i use to work in a hotel part time which i hated , so i decided to go into the building trade at college and right now i am a labourer on a building site

Was in the building trade for 20 odd years.

The last 6 years or so ive been a poker player full time online.

How's that working out for you? Do you enter any of the big tournaments?

I do work relating to websites at the moment but I am planning to start my own company up, in fact I have the site, domain and several clients already lined up but I am waiting for the right time to push forward with this.

best decision i ever made to be honest. Although its getting harder these days.

After 50 odd years in the building trade i applied for a new position and i was very pleased to be installed as CEO of gtownjohnnos retirement home...

I worked as a machinist for the same company as @super_ram but in a different department. Then did the same from home when the kids came along.I had to retire though due to health reasons.I've machined up a lot of different clubs football shirts in my time.

Okay everyone, SING ALONG!!

The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round, the wheels on the bus go round and around, round and round. I hate buses as it is, so @Canadian deserves a medal.

I am retired, before that I had served in the army for 19 years and then I managed a small family run business which I started up.

This is now in the hands of my granddaughter.

I am responsible for driving items from one branch to another, commonly office supplies. The company I work for owns several large offices and its main headquarters isn't far from death valley.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
