Unsung hero at meadow lane

Featured Replies

Today I thought i would talk about unsung hero’s one I think is Pete the club shop shirt printer. He has worked for County for over ten years (well since the league did shirt printing) he is friendly approachable and dose a great job and if anything is wrong you can go back and talk to him and he will put it right.

Any one else get there shirt done at the club shop and thinks he dose a good job.?

Pete's one of the most friendliest staff members that I know, he treats people with a lot of respect and this extends to children. I once wasn't going to get Ava her own name and number on her shirt, however Pete did it regardless and this is something which earned a lot of respect from me. Some staff can be a little funny, yet he's just a great guy.

It's people like Pete Lawson that makes the club feel like a family.

I'll share my unsung hero tomorrow.

A field where dreams become reality.

I don’t think I’ve had dealing with him that I can remember but I’ve seen him around for many a year.

Does a cracking job on the printing, hence why I have mine done every year so he keeps making the club money by delivering such a great service.

Most definitely mate like you I won’t go anywhere else

Yeah I had Jake Bugg put on my shirt last season. Great guy Pete always makes time for a chat whenever we go in, and Lyn too.

Pete's a great character at Notts, always very friendly when I have my shirts done.

I have seen him but never spoken to him, he's done my shirts for the past five years and they still hold up now.

I have spoken to him but only about my shirts, he seems friendly enough and will always ask if your okay. Think if he's been around Meadow Lane for so long he deserves a medal.

Most definitely mate my thought two ????

I'm sure that most of the staff I knew and recall have gone, but Pete has been a permanent fixture in the club shop.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
