Defence is a problem

Right now defence is a issue tootle and Duffy injured Jones is suspended but we have signed a couple of defenders but they need a bit of time to adjust.

Whats your thoughts guys ?

It's the keeper and the defence that are the issue, but if you could put a stronger character in goal who has league experience I think things would improve.

defence and keeper, some might not like criticism towards fitzsimons but hes been poor.

if a keeper replaces him, i too believe things will change. good backup but first time on a regular basis i dont think so.

Yes and there's issues with the keeper which we can't mask.

If Notts are to improve they need to tighten the defence up and replace Fitzsimons, there's every chance a brief spell on the bench could reawaken him. He needs some sort of motivation because he looks a disaster.

Kewell must believe that the issue is the defence with the players brought into the club.

He says one or two more will arrive, I hope one is a keeper and the other another defender.

The issue is the midfield, defence and especially the keeper.

They have to defend a whole lot better, simple as that. Notts are creating much of the issue themselves by appearing to cut corners, if the players like fitness bring in better coaches.

Need a keeper and more effort on the pitch.

The keeper more than ever

He did okay today but he doesn't voice himself much.

The whole club is the problem now.

It's not just one thing, it's a group of issues collectively burying the team.

The voice is Whst he needs to find though confidence through out the squad is must

I think it's the whole team, they don't play as one and nobody is putting themselves in the firing line when it comes to defending.

All other departments have had reinforcements and still the same issues are happening.

It's clear to me that although it's not always Ross Fitzsimons doesn't command enough or communicate with the defence. Notts needs an experienced keeper and I think until January we will struggle due to this.

We can't keep signing outfield players expecting them to improve the inexperienced goalkeeper who was overrated by fans on social media for a few good games last season.

Totally agree we can’t keep ignoring the ultimate promblem which is the goal keeper

I feel the club will but now is the time to act.

There must be a good enough keeper available on a free, the issue is money now though. Harry Kewell has spoken about two more players, so we will see.

Midfield, defence and keeper.

I can't see things improving much with Ross Fitzsimons in goal, he has no confidence and every good save he makes is ruined by several mistakes which makes you question his actual ability. With the defenders you know that they could if someone organised them better, so which makes me come back to Fitzsimons.

Both the defence and keeper but how many new defenders can you field before you start to realise that Ross Fitzsimons not ready for the number 1 shirt? People may continue to blame the defence but there is nothing else to compare.

The club must gamble on signing a keeper.

I agree.

If you took a gamble on saving the wider issues and a keeper with more experience could do this, I don't see why the club wouldn't go for it. We have had strikers who look quality but haven't had service, people complained but now we have a keeper afraid of his own shadow and voice.

Kevin Nolan seemed to blame the attack which wasn't the pressure, we was scoring and creating chances but when you concede its only going to put pressure on the strikers. I feel the blame more falls on the keeper and his lack authority, if the midfield helped with defending I do feel it would be improved.

The issue is the defence and keeper, neither seems to have faith in the other.

Nobody marks or tries to win the ball back.

If they do, people soon start to drop off and we need to be more in the oppositions faces when they have the ball. I don't think Fitzsimons or the wing backs are helping but as a team everyone needs to improve.

Confidence. fitness and effort throughout the whole squad not just the defence, it's a team problem and there's no easy fix.

I think the defence and the goalkeeper have to be as one .. fitzsimons needs to command more .. but let’s hope this weekend we will see the turn around
