he seems a development sort of player, so maybe karl henry could still be on the cards?

romario is 20 years old, hes been with leeds but has yet to make his debut for any club professionally. he was born bissau, guinea-bissau. what do you think about this?

Be a good addition for Steve Chettle to develop him as a player. Be a good move for him and us considering his brother got a move from Leeds to Sampdoria not too long back. Could turn into a bit of a talent.

One for the future.

Since he's made no appearances professional that I can find and he hasn't been loaned out at all by a fairly big Championship team, this would suggest to me he's still very raw in his potential and for that I can't see him being anywhere ready like Tom Crawford or Will Patching are at.

If the clubs feels he's one for the future, sign him up but at his age there's more chance he will end up being unused even by us.

So he will have to take this chance.

Although I think its good to get players who we might make a profit on in the future but we desperately need players for the here and now at the moment.

All good planning for the future seems like a thing the clubs trying to do and I agree with it , but as above agree with @Fan of Big Tone  think if we could strengthen for now it would be more beneficial considering how things are going .

Definitely one for the future or maybe later on in the season .. he must have something to be giving him a trial so I’m hopefull he can play a part in our season maybe or maybe he future.. but it’s great to see the future being looked at

The club should actually form a development squad.

Rather than mismatching whoever they can find out of the youth and first team squads, focus on the coaching. I would welcome him if he's someone who can settle down.

Looks like one for the future, it won't be long before Notts signs Adam Ronney. 😛

Sign him up, his brother looks a quality player and with the right coaching Romario Vieira would be too.

Was wondering what happened with him since he seemed to be signing for the team I support, Doncaster Rovers. Then I saw this, seemed alright from the pre-season games I saw him in. Manager decided against signing him though due to putting faith in the young players we'd given professional contracts to already.

What would you say is his main attributes?

I have no idea about him but if he's quick that would be a plus.

Most of the friendlies were against weaker opposition, and he didn't start in all of the friendlies either. Main thing I could take from when we played Sheffield United was that he seemed quite composed on the ball, made some good passes and didn't really do anything wrong. Seemed to play as a midfielder playing in a deeper role, scored one goal for us, but it was in 8-1 win against Deeping Rangers, so it wasn't the most difficult of opponents.

@LKnott98 Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I am sure other Notts fans will find it useful as I did. :)

No problem, it's also hard to know just how good Vieira is when the youth players who our manager has put his faith into instead over Vieira, they have yet to make appearances in competitive games for the first team, so I'm yet to see how good they are.

I have to agree @Fan of Big Tone 👍🏻

One for the future, low wages and possible a high gain if it pays off.

One for the future maybe, if he's any good that's a different question but it's good to get players involved.

If he's better or could be better than what Notts has already he would be a good signing.

He may be good enough for League Two, I haven't heard any news but it would be nice to unearth a gem for once.

It's he's likely to be a gem for this league or the next I would take him.

It seems other clubs are passing him by so it makes me wonder about his attitude or if there is something not quite right about him. I don't know but I would only take if he's better than what we have already.

I think the club should be looking for good enough defenders and a young striker that can grow into the first team. The Campbell lad looks good, I know a lot of people highly rate him so hope he gets a chance.

I am not sure what to make of Vieira.

He wouldn't be earning a great deal as a reserve/development player.

Little risk with the gamble if he doesn't make the grade by the age of 22, there is little lost. If he does well and proves himself, there is the chance that he could help Notts gain promotion or be sold on for a profit.

I went to the game at Ilkeston and Viera is definitely one for the future rather than a short term fix.  He's not very big, but was neat on the ball and covered a fair bit of ground.  He was harshly booked in the first half and subbed after about an hour, so difficult to make too many judgements.  We had a very young squad with only Will Patching anywhere near the first team.  The kids competed well against a Wigan side who looked a bit older and you couldn't fault their effort.  These games are free to season ticket holders with free parking at the ground, well worth making the effort if you have a spare afternoon.

He sounds promising @Elite_pie
is he still training at the club?

Not sure, but we have an away game against Port Vale reserves on Wednesday so that might tell us.
