SA consortium withdraw - Danes take the lead

Featured Replies

@Who r ya?? You Pies!!Β They were first reported a few weeks ago as they were spotted being shown around the ground. They may well have been on the scene long before thenΒ though.

I would hope that they have enough money, the asking price would be enough to scare them off if they didn't. I also hope that they have a solid plan for the club.

Most importantly of all, however, is that the money owed to HMRC is paid on or before Wednesday. That means that the takeover will have to be complete, or certain enough for the Danes to pick up the bill. I'm not sure there will be another extension.

Kind in mind that with admin looming, there's a chance that they or others might fancy picking the club up cheaper. It won't be massively disappointed to lose 10 points, a strong bidder would realise that they could save a small fortune and wipe the slate clean.

I just want to see the takeover completed, and sensible owner(s) come in.

Fresh start, be patient and give people time to build.

AFC Notts County wouldn't be the same, that would be the worst case but my loyalty would remain to Notts regardless. The club just needs a steady hand, if the eventual owners can deliver a winning brand of football they may see a return once the club could claw themselves back up the football league. At this level it seems more of a hobby than a serious money maker. Most clubs do not make enough to be stable.

I hope the Danish consortium have a plan and understanding of football, it would be risky coming into the English game with limited foods and taking on a club like Notts which hasn't had the strongest foundations for a number of years. Yes, you just have to hope for the best.

how quickly the post are starting to churn out content about the takeover when they did not know much not so long ago, i dont know, i take what is written with a pinch of salt until official news comes out. i would hope there is a bidder out there, someone who can take the club on but i dont think the sa consortium can be ruled out just because the post say so.

I got slated for commenting that after the first instalment of the take over that β€œdue diligence” was taking a long time; that was after about 8Β weeks. It was obvious to me then that something was and is seriously wrong within the club’s financial structure that due diligence can’t be complete within a matter of a few weeks. All we can do now is hope that things can be sorted out within the next few days/hours.

I am absolutely staggered that the local media aren’t hounding Hardy to the point of complete humiliation. The only reason they aren’t is that they fear he will be installed as CEO or some such capacity and they don’t want to alienate him for the future.

I was discussing this issue with some friends yesterday, three of which support Championship clubs, but we all agreed how easy Alan Hardy has had things. He's a total PR disaster, especially with how much he craves the limelight, but for some reason the media and to a point the fans aren'tΒ trying to drive him out.

I do think the hardy out social media campaign can be effective, yet without the local media doing their part - this wouldn'tΒ be the complete answer.

Imagine hearing your name whilst your out buying new cars etc, and the people whoseΒ jobs you'veΒ f**kedΒ up are scrapping to get by but still doing their jobs! At this stage, I am inclined to believe Hardy's clutching onto the club and messing up negationsΒ with potentialΒ buyers. Keeping in mind all the rumours about the original interest from consortiums supposedly wanted Hardy to remain as the chairman (despite alienatingΒ and ruining peoples lives). The longer this continues, the more families will suffer by the hands of a neglectful businessman who spends half his time trying to play a small violin for the symphony.

Notts and Paragon are in this situation because he took his eye off the ball, somehow managing to miss manageΒ everything! Probably between playing golf with former Premier League stars.

All hopes are being pinned on the Danes, we have to hope Alan Hardy can allow for this to be a smooth honest transition otherwise we might break the record we hold for being in admin [if lucky].

If any of the Danish consortium or team are reading fans thoughts, the club has much more potential. Alan Hardy brought some of it back during the season the club almost gain promotion via the playoffs. Get behind the fans, bring the community together and just don't fall for what the previous owners have done. There's a lot to be learned but make sure you listen to advice.

Alan Hardy only hears himself, that's why we are now playing in the Non League.

The clubs a good one with passionate fans.

Let’s hope the Great Danes can save our bacon because right our backs are to the wall ..we need them to sign the contracts and buy the club and help the recruit players. I’ve heard that they are a betting consortium well two brothers so we will have to see what happens.

They sell betting advice based on football statistics, so not exactly. Here's one of their companies:Β https://www.footballradar.com/

I don't think he can be humiliated more than he has been already. He effectively bet the company he built up on being successful at Notts and now both are facing ruin. He'll forever be remembered as the man who took Notts out of the League, he's allegedly lost his marriage and he's exposed himself (ahem) to national humiliation. It's such a catalogue of disaster that the media probably daren't stick the knife in any further. Besides, right now the focus is rightlyΒ on the future of our football club.

This is what the Danes own then? It could be a good thing if they have people who can determine the outcome of games, heaven knows Notts have needed a good sports analysis for some time.
