How will Notts respond to returning to football?

Recommended Posts

How do you feel Notts will respond to returning to football?

Do you think they will come back stronger, or suffer a setback due to the long absence between games?

I think Notts will be keen to kick on myself, if the league ends as it stands. I think they will respond brightly and want to win the league, Neal Ardley might play this down but I think the club would be quietly confident.

i think notts will be stronger, we have a good squad and if the club needs to pre for a new season instead of finishing this one off. i think there will be a chance to sign additional quality to do well.

the club seems to be in safe hands, im not worried about the loss of money.

as fans we will support the club, notts and lifeline know this. so the focus should be on football and making sure everyone is 100% fit ready to go.

I think Notts will be fine, the squad did find their form towards the suspension but they must all be eager to go.

Neal Ardley has the right attitude with the players.

Some would run through a brick wall for him, if asked.

If the season continues I think each team will benefit, it will reset everything for all the clubs and, Notts tends to struggle to pick up their form.

I have faith in this squad I must admit, I think many of them will want to come back eager to do well.

The squad will be established no matter what happens.

You have to hope that the season can be picked up, or a new campaign starts as good as the previous one ended.

I am quietly confident provided Neal Ardley is given time.

Only time will tell, but I feel it will be better than the FA/Premier/EFL/National League.

Neal Ardley will be wanting the squad to come back stronger, if we are a National League team and this year finishes this way, I think adding a little more quality will see the club go one better.

Notts are in a good place. Keep most of the squad we have, add a few and we'll win the league next season (assuming this season doesn't finish). If it does return this season, I think Notts could catch Barrow, if not, I think Notts would sin the playoffs.

The squad seems to be okay, from the videos I have seen they're look healthy and I imagine they will be keeping themselves fit.

I think whatever happens the club will be stronger after this.

The players will be fine, my caution is the manager and coaching staff being able to quickly pick up on the opposition again.

I will be happy just to see the club return to football at this point, I think Notts will be fine. There's strength and quality in the camp now, no doubts.

I don't feel there's any prospect of restarting this season. If we put our optimistic hats on and assume the least disruptive scenario - starting next season roughly on time and in the same division - we'd have to be a good bet for top spot. We have a squad of players that has grown together during the season (a big advantage over last summer) who buy into what the manager is trying to do. As we recently acquired new owners, you'd have to assume that they will keep the club afloat to protect their investment, so we should be in a reasonably strong financial position too.

If the situation drags on into the winter, however, all bets are off. Then we could be looking at insolvencies and a significantly changed football landscape with clubs disappearing or merging.

If the season continues it could be difficult, I am sure the players are doing well to keep in shape but this situation would have crept into their minds. You can never replace consistency of playing regularly and then expect it to be picked up.

A new season would see Notts strength and train to go one stage further.
