Who’s going to watch this one?

I’ll be rooting for Sheffield Wednesday as I have a friend who’s a big Owls fan and I know how much it means to him to get back to the Championship.

Come on you Owls.Β

New contract: Slocombe

Experienced keeper extends stay

Sam Slocombe has become the second out-of-contract player to commit his future to us.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper has signed a new two-year deal, following in the footsteps ofΒ fellow long-serving Magpie Connell Rawlinson.

And both Luke Williams and our board of directors look forward to welcoming him back to Meadow Lane in pre-season.

A statement reads: β€œSam, like Connell, is such a valuable asset to us on and off the field.

β€œHe’s an immensely experienced goalkeeper who has demonstrated his quality and consistency over his four years at the club.

β€œThe role Sam played in last season’s promotion cannot be underestimated. He was a vital component in our team and many of the outstanding performances we produced would not have been possible without him.

β€œEqually importantly, he’s one of the best professionals you could ever wish to have in your squad. The way he conducts himself day in, day out is exemplary and we see him as the perfect role model for our younger players.

β€œWe’ve enjoyed open and constructive dialogue with Sam over the summer to explain our intention to bring in a new, senior goalkeeper to work alongside him and Tiernan Brooks.

β€œWe see this as an important element of our long-term squad development and Sam fully understands our position.

β€œWe know he will continue to drive high standards from those around him and provide extremely tough competition for a place in our starting line-up.”

What have folk got planned for the weekend anything exciting happening in your life?

I am doing a 5k Park Run with my son and his friend, then we are going to support my daughter in law who is doing a run then a wild water swim at Colwick, I think it’s called a biathlon or something, rather her than me.

Sunday we are doing a BBQ weather permitting, hopefully it’ll be fine all weekend.

What are others doing?Β

Hopefully this isn’t a controversial subject but here goes.

I never watch Good Morning Britain and have absolutely no interest whatsoever what Philip Schofield has or has not been up to, does anyone else think the papers (gutter press) are hounding the poor bloke? Surely his private life should be that…..private.

Leave him alone for goodness sake otherwise it could have tragic consequences, god forbid he finds it too much and takes his own life but it’s happened to celebrities in the public eye before and can happen again.

What do others think?

Lets welcome @LydiaΒ to PON. I hope to see you on here.

Notts County are the oldest professional football club in the world, but they are also one of the smallest in terms of fan base. The Magpies have struggled to compete with bigger and more successful clubs in the region, such as Nottingham Forest and Derby County, and have seen their attendances decline over the years. They have also failed to appeal to younger generations, who may prefer to follow Premier League or European teams instead.

In this forum post, we want to discuss how Notts County can attract more young fans and grow their fan base. What can the club do to make themselves more relevant and attractive to the youth? How can they increase their exposure and reach in the media and online? How can they foster a sense of loyalty and identity among their fans?Β What are some initiatives or campaigns that Notts County can launch to attract more young fans?

Share your ideas and suggestions with us and let’s help Notts County grow.

Notts County is a club with a rich history and a loyal fan base. Whether you have been following the Magpies for decades or just recently discovered them, you probably have some memorable moments watching them play. Maybe it was a thrilling victory, a stunning goal, a heroic comeback, or a funny incident. Maybe it was the atmosphere at Meadow Lane, the camaraderie with other fans, or the feeling of pride and passion.

In this forum post, we want to hear from you. What are your fondest memories of watching Notts County live? How did they make you feel? What made them special?

Share your stories and photos with us and let’s celebrate the joys of being a Notts County fan.

Notts County have played in many different stadiums over the years, from the iconic Wembley to the humble Field Mill. Some of them have been memorable for the right reasons, such as the atmosphere, the facilities, the views, or the results. Others have been memorable for the wrong reasons, such as the poor conditions, the hostile fans, the bad location, or the defeats.

In this forum post, we want to hear from you. What are the best and worst stadiums you have seen Notts County play in? How did they affect your experience of watching the Magpies?Β Which stadium was the most impressive or enjoyable to visit and why?Β Which stadium had the best or worst pitch and how did it affect Notts County’s performance?

I consume music in various ways, from my desktop/laptop, to my phones and other methods. I mostly use YouTube music now as it's just very convenient and has literally everything I could dream of wanting to hear. On my desktop, I have an app called MusicBee, which nicely presents all the songs/albums I have on my hard drive.

It has a plugin to bridge YouTube Music, which is handy, but I also use YouTube Music in my browser.

It's one of the most used apps on my phone too. I don't own a hi-fi system, Kate has one we don't use stored away but in terms of traditional means of playing music, we don't have any. CDs are just a collector's item now; we barely use them.

Prior to Christmas, @cheeky~k8Β and I put our heads together and decided to buy @super_ramΒ a new record player. It brings the radio, and phone streaming together. He could also record his music fromΒ vinyl. We went over one Sunday and helped Super set it up, we listened to a few records, and it took me back. Something I really enjoyed, it was nice to see my dad smile knowing he can listen to his collection again.

He also loves listening to YouTube music!

So, how do you listen to music? Do you have a subscription to Spotify or another music streaming service? Do you use YouTube Music?Β

What's your preference and thoughts onΒ vinyl, tap, CD, digital music? Let's try to have a fun discussion and learn more about each other.

As Torquay have found, trying to attract players can be difficult because of the geographical location.Β

Does anyone know what finances Notts will get after our return to the EFL..??.... I think we get monies from the PL and TV but does anyone know what will those amount too????Β

Hello, I am Tommy.

I am 26 years old, I have supported Notts all my life. I currently work in Leicestershire as a night security officer for a large building site, as you can imagine I get a lot of free time between my checks and well I thought I would finally come on board with PON.

Welcome, @BlackandWhitePie. To the Pride of Nottingham, we are pleased to have you here.

Perhaps wishing Stockport to be promoted, just to prove promotion from the NL to EFL 1 can be done quickly.
